hey everyone,
as some my know from the weekly appt post this week I saw a PPA aka specialist today. When we arrived they let us know the reason we were sent was because baby 2 appeared to have some extra fluid around him. I believe it was in his head/brain but honestly a lot is a blur at this point.
Anyways they start the ultrasound to verify this and sadly they found that both twins (mo di identical) no longer had heart beats. Baby b measured 12 weeks and 5 days and baby a measured 13 weeks and 3 days. I should of been 15 weeks and 1 day today. We had an ultrasound Tuesday and both babies had heartbeats then so this came as a shock to us and the doctors when they discovered this.
They believe since they were sharing a placenta they were both affected when one stopped thriving.
I want to wish you all luck and thanks for all the laughs these last few months.
