Classic Names

Newb here. Due in August. We are team green, and like classic, vintage names. I don’t mind nicknames that come from longer names as both our other kids have names that can be shortened. We do have lists, but I’m unsure about any of the names we have on them. I feel like I need some fresh ideas. While I don’t mind if a name is “popular” if we love it, I also don’t want something you hear everywhere either.

Names we/I like but are out for one reason or another: Jack, Oliver, Juliette, Ellie, Lillian, Tilly, Caroline, violet, sawyer, Finn, Thomas

I’m sure I’m forgetting a few in there! Any help would be appreciated. We have a better boy list than girl list, but looking for any help at all!

The names I listed are ones we can’t use... they are taken by family or friends, unfortunately! You actually hit quite a few names I have on my list that my DH has said no to... but you are right in line with our style!

Henry is on our boys list and is near the top. Girls names are proving to be so hard this time. I like so many that you listed, but I’m not getting the feeling from any name that it’s “the one” the possibility going to the hospital with no girl name in mind is making me crazy!

I love Clara, he doesn’t
His top names are Kate (as a full name) or Hannah.

I like both, but don’t get that “it’s the one” feeling.

SIB: Hannah Kate and Hannah Claire have been on the table... but I’m luke warm on them. I like them both well enough, but right now it just doesn’t feel like the one. I also feel like I’m being ridiculously picky, but so is my H and we have no overlap!

Of your list we have discussed a few, others are taken, but nothing has worked for both of us...

aka I’m the worst. I feel like if this baby is a girl, I just won’t love her name as much as I do my other kid’s names and it’s an awful feeling!!!

I haven’t proposed these to DH yet, but I’m feeling out Hannah Rosalie, or Kate Rosalie or possibly Katherine Rosalie. Neither of us were keen on Katherine, so I doubt he will go for that.
