So idk if this is an UO or FFFC but here goes.. Baby kicks feel weird. I want to love every single kick, but sometimes they make me feel nauseous. I feel awful for even thinking that, but when I am trying to sleep or do work and I feel like I might have to run to get sick from baby kicks, it makes me feel some sort of way. I love baby and all the kicks that let me know they are growing away in there, and I know some moms are dying to feel those little flutters, so I feel like this makes me sound ungrateful, but I swear I am not.

@tessiesmom26 I understand what you are saying. They are super adorable and I love the baby kicks...except when they wake me up at 4 am and I have to walk around like a zombie all day because I’m so tired. Love the healthy baby, but do not love 4 am dance parties in my uterus.
I think people who TRY for twins are BSC. I understand they happen spontaneously and with fertility treatments and twins are better than no baby at all. I'm referring to the people that try all the tricks to get pregnant with twins (that I don't think work anyway) or have no to very little infertility history and automatically transfer two embryos for no other reason than they WANT twins. They are so much higher risk pregnancies and half the time end up in the NICU. I could go on, but I don't want to scare our sweet twin mom's who have been through hell to get their babies (like I mentioned I'm not referring to our infertility moms or the mom's who spontaneously are pregnant with twins).

@tessiesmom26 I totally get it. Some baby kicks feel sweet and cute, but lately I've been doing a few fast turnaround projects at work, and weird baby kicks and hiccups are super distracting.
Since a few people mentioned it in another thread, bubble tea is gross!!! Those chewy bubbles have no flavor and taste like glue.
@middleschoolmommy soooooo much yess!!!! I had never even heard of them until a couple years ago and I was like wtf is that?! The only push present i want is an uninterrupted hot shower and some sleep after birth
@offtoneverland I agree. Bubble tea= yuckkk. AFM - I'm not a fan of shirts with sayings on them, like "Daddy's little princess", "Mommy's heartbreaker" or "Baby on Board" etc etc. They're so popular and I just find them so unnecessary.
@offtoneverland I love bubble tea! I know it is weird but if you find a good place (there are many bad ones), it is delicious.
@mrsdrez I wore a shirt to Disney World that said Baby loading and got so many compliments! I like maternity shirts that say baby, otherwise people would just assume fat
Ha! Y'all will hate me! I adore my push presents. Initially I thought I would be in the same camp, but DH wanted to do something anyway. He got me a delicate diamond band when DD was born. And a more modern band when DS was born. It may seem silly, but I don't wear much jewelry besides my wedding set and a watch. I stack the bands with my wedding set and I love it. I think of my babies every time I look at my hand.
I’m torn about the push presents. Although I agree it’s kind of a cheesy thing to do....I’m not one to ever turn down a nice piece of fine jewelry. I got a beautiful rose gold band with diamonds when my son was born, and I intend on hinting around for another band for this baby girl, so I can stack them. I’m 100% willing to partake in this unnecessary push present trend for jewelry
I don’t understand the need for push presents, but gifts are 100% not my love language.
@mrsdrez Completely agree on the shirts with sayings! With my first, grandparents gave us SO many onesies with stupid sayings, which I never put them in. I think everyone except my mom got the hint...she still buys shirts like that for my girls....
The term push presents creeps me out, like they’re gonna give it to you while you’re crowning? Like @runningyogimama@wannaflickone presents aren’t my love language. Would feel much better having DH take DD for an afternoon so I can get a massage or cleaning out my car or something.
@lachnessmomster I rarely have fun at showers. As an introvert I hate making small talk with people, especially strangers.
My UO is that I hate Facebook now. I feel like I need it occasionally to message someone for their address/phone number and because some of my in laws aren’t on instagram. But it’s mostly bsc political memes and MLM pitches from people I haven’t talked to since high school. Remember 2006 when facebook was fun?
@lachnessmomster I hate baby showers too. I never had a shower with ds, but that was also because I was working hard on staying alive and keeping him in ad long as possible.
@lifesabeach85 I deactivated my Facebook four or five years ago and never looked back. I'm sure it's only gotten worse since then.
@wildrainbow Yes, I imagine that was pretty all-consuming! No need to add more stress to an already stressful pregnancy, especially if it's not your thing to begin with!
@wannaflickone I don't think there's anything wrong with receiving a present from YH who wanted to give it to you in the first place. I think it gets a bit unsettling when a woman expects a huge, expensive present after they give birth. Some women seem to expect it as a rite of passage, and that seems off-putting to me.
If H gives me some nice jewelry after I have this baby, I would very happily accept it and would be really excited. But he didn't get me anything after DD so I don't expect it.
I knew a woman who was pregnant with her third and she went on and on about the very expensive watch her H just had to get her as a push present, and that just seems greedy to me.
If you get some new bling, you'll have to post pics.
