How're you feeling this week? Feeling pretty good. The last three or four nights I’ve been waking up with the most awful leg cramps so sleeping hasn’t been the best!!
Rants/Raves: Leg cramps omg they hurt!!!!
GTKY: What is your favorite baby purchase so far, or what are you most excited to buy? I have a lot of the bigger things already from my son (Mamaroo, Dockatot, etc.) but I am really excited to get my Lillebaby carrier! I got it for 40% off this weekend on their website. I’m thinking baby wearing will be a necessity with two under two and I have a solly wrap and ergo already but I wanted one with the option for baby to face out! I’m also super excited about all of the clothes and accessories- her bows and shoes are the cutest!!!

How far along? 16w3 with TWINS EDD 12/1 but will likely be before that
Appts this coming week? No appts this week, but had one last week and everything went well!
How're you feeling this week? MS has gone down but my Heartburn is definitely kicking!
Rants/Raves: Nothing to complain about right now
GTKY: What is your favorite baby purchase so far, or what are you most excited to buy? Honestly we are late to the party, we haven't really bought anything yet. Our DD is still so young depending on the sexes we might still have a lot of stuff that works.

I am excited to cheer you ladies on as we go through!

Appts this coming week? Nothing this week, regular checkup and glucose next week (ugh)
How're you feeling this week? I have been really struggling with back pain. Friday I started having intense spasms on my right side (like 9/10 on the pain scale) but over the weekend it became more of a constant pain that wraps around my hip. You can definitely tell my joint is swollen in my back where the hip bone and spine come together. I've been doing everything I can - heat, ice, Tylenol, etc but not getting much relief. Due to my SCH my OB won't allow chiropractic, but I may try prenatal massage tomorrow.
Rants/Raves: We checked two major furniture items off our list this weekend! Once we get a glider/rocker purchased I think we'll be done with all the "big" stuff.
GTKY: What is your favorite baby purchase so far, or what are you most excited to buy? I LOVE the swing we got. I actually found it used on FB marketplace for $60, and it was in pristine condition and matches the nursery perfectly. It's so cute and has so many settings-music, speeds, directions, etc. I can't wait to put them in it!

Hello there! I can believe I made it to the second trimester!!! So excited!
How far along? 14 weeks 2 days, EDD is December 15th!
Appts this coming week? No appointments for another 3 long weeks
How're you feeling this week? I am feeling good, a little bit of heartburn here and there and I still have no energy, but otherwise I am having and easy pregnancy
Rants/Raves: I am already showing and it is getting challenging to hide it at work. It is not a true bump yet but I am petite and I feel like baby pushed my entire digestive tract out! I am wearing maternity jeans since 9 weeks but now i am running out of flowy tops. And I feel people staring.So I am debating whether to tell or not to tell yet. The problem is that I just started the job a month ago...
GTKY: What is your favorite baby purchase so far, or what are you most excited to buy?
We got a baby doppler last week and it has been great at calming me down! It takes me about 5 min to find the HB. DH however is some kind of Doppler whisperer and he finds the little one in under a minute every time! I am really looking forward to buying baby stuff but I will probably wait till at least 24 weeks ( if I can hold myself that long!)

How're you feeling this week?
I tire or very easily, so I have to carefully plan outings, etc. BH are hitting hardcore and I'm not a fan at all! It's so annoying!

Rants/Raves:
We had our first AS at the MFM last week and baby boy looked good! He was very stubborn and the tech had a hard time getting pics of his heart. She poked him, I practically contorted myself and still he didnt move. Stubborn seems to be his middle name.

GTKY: What is your favorite baby purchase so far, or what are you most excited to buy?
I dont know. We have quite a few things from when ds was a baby. We do need a crib, but FIL is buying that. Mostly, I think just getting a few newer newborn outfits and decking baby boy out in Aubrn stuff since he will be born during football season.

an appt with an NP tomorrow. Then I’m also suppose to meet someone from the GD team and also do the second trimester blood test.

How're you feeling this week?
good. Just struggling with the diabetes. But as long as I exercise after every meal, I can control my numbers (and for nighttime I’m using insulin)

Rants/Raves:
I’ve been doing IF treatments for the last 2 years and have never forgotten an injection or a pill.

Then, on Sat night, I got my night snack (they want me to eat before going to bed), logged my night snack and the fact that I’m about to do insulin (I submit food and blood glucose log once a week) then, after my snack I totally forgot about the shot and went to bed. Luckily my morning number wasn’t high!! I just can’t believe that I forgot a shot after all his time.

GTKY: What is your favorite baby purchase so far, or what are you most excited to buy?
I will probably not buy much baby stuff until the baby is here.

Appts this coming week? No. I had one last week and again was underwhelmed by how little actually happened, ha. I guess that's a good thing.
How're you feeling this week? OK. I was feeling excellent up until last week. Now I'm starting to be uncomfortable, mostly after I eat or when I'm trying to sleep. Back hurts, leg cramps, heartburn, round ligament pain. Seems like it's all par for the course, though.
@chicandbubbly, I feel you on the leg cramps! I had one so badly a few days ago that my calf was sore for the next 24 hours! I started stretching my legs before going to bed and it's helping.
**TW** Last year I had a miscarriage on Father's Day, so it was a particularly emotional week for me. I'm thankful that we are at this point in the pregnancy, though. **end TW**
Rants/Raves: I started doing prenatal yoga about a month ago and love it SOOOOO much. I was feeling really crappy last Wednesday and felt 100% afterwards. In non-pregnant life I also like yoga (though am always the student who has to revert to child's pose because it's too hard), but never go because it's too expensive. But I decided for my physical and mental health to sign up for a 5 per month pass. It's been the best decision.
GTKY: What is your favorite baby purchase so far, or what are you most excited to buy? My stepmom visited last weekend and bought us a rocker. It's so comfortable!

How're you feeling this week?
I've been having leg cramps, especially at night when trying to sleep. No fun! And RLP seems to be happening more frequently now. Other than that, mostly ok.

Rants/Raves:
I love my husband! Honestly, I was never totally sure he really wanted a baby or that he'd be a good dad. But since we got our BFP, he's been so adorable! He talks to my belly and reads stories to the baby. And he's been extra father-like with our nephews and some friends' kids. I think he's going to be an awesome dad!

GTKY: What is your favorite baby purchase so far, or what are you most excited to buy?
It isn't really a purchase. But my favorite thing for baby bean so far is my old lamp that I used when I was a baby/young child! I had it in a tote in our basement with some other random things and I got it out a couple of weeks ago. It still works and I'm totally going to use it in the nursery! It's a plush mama bear holder her baby bear and it plays music (it doesn't necessarily go with the rest of the nursery theme, but I don't really care). Such a fun thing to connect us together!

@DecemberDoll27 I'm glad you're able to find baby's HB on the doppler! I keep going back and forth about getting one. Every time I convince myself to get one, I talk to DH about it and he talks me out of it! He just doesn't want it to be a problem if I can't find the HB for some reason. If you don't mind sharing, what brand did you end up getting? And did you get the gel stuff for it, or are you using something else (like aloe or something)? Thanks!

@chicandbubbly I started having those spasms nightly last week too and I got a massage on Saturday. She went to town on my calves which was painful but I haven’t had any spasms the last 2 nights so that may have been the trick!

@mag1cbeli3ver my DH was the same way, he was initially against buying it. But now he loves it and we listen to the HB together every day. I bought very cheap $50 sonoline b from babydoppler.com. it came with batteries and some gel. We are almost out of gel now so I ordered more from Amazon. I was scared that I will be freaked out every time I have trouble finding the HB but so far so good. And it gets easier every day. I watched a couple of youtube videos about using this device. It has been very helpful! But baby moves a lot so you find it for 30 seconds and it disappears and you have to try to locate the LO again.

How're you feeling this week? Headaches come and go and sometimes just lingers in the background. Its very painful to the point I want to cut off my head. Been trying ice packs on my neck and seems like they help. Other than that I feel hard spots in my belly and think there maybe more than one fibroid. I am really hoping it wont cause any issues. Also, praying the placenta has already moved to a better spot. I am not spotting or cramping anymore so thats wonderful!

Rants/Raves:
GTKY: What is your favorite baby purchase so far, or what are you most excited to buy? I haven't purchased anything yet. I mean nothing! I dont know I guess we went through so much hardship I feel like I dont want to get dissapointed so I'll wait a couple more months. Though, I've been asking around to see what is really essential since I am very practical and dont want to go all out with the nursery (maybe later my mind will change but for now I'm pretty relaxed).

For those of you are having leg cramps, have you tried magnesium oil? I made my own but you can buy online too. Magnesium helps tremendously especially when applied externally. I had one very bad cramp which woke me up from my sleep and I was about to scream. I used the oil and havent had anymore (knock on wood).

EDD November 27th, 2018 (pregnant with twins!!)

Appts this coming week?
I just had my anatomy ultrasound today and got to see the babies. They were finally able to confirm gender (since my genetic blood tests came back inconclusive) - I'm having TWO BOYS!!!! I was hoping they'd be both the same gender so they can grow up to be best friends (and selfishly, so they can do all the same sports and activities as kids and I don't have to drive to two different places all the time). Now I can finally start thinking seriously about baby names!

How're you feeling this week?
Good, but I'm with most of you who are having leg cramps at night. I normally stretch a lot in my sleep, but man, my calves cramp up good, it's so painful!!! I've been doing extra stretches throughout the day. I bought a big U-shaped pregnancy pillow and for something reason that seems to help. It also helps with my sore back when I wake up in the mornings.

Rants/Raves:
Tomorrow my DH and I leave for our babymoon - 2 weeks in Scandinavia (Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway). I'm so excited!!!

GTKY: What is your favorite baby purchase so far, or what are you most excited to buy?
Haven't bought anything yet, but I'm itching to buy the stroller and car seats. The strollers for twins are crazy, so I've been doing a lot of research and am ready to pull the trigger... just need to make sure my DH is on board before I make the $600 purchase.

@iiky thanks for the tip about magnesium oil! I did take a bath with my pink stork bath salts which have magnesium in them and it definitely was less painful last night. I’ll have to look into the oil.

chicandbubbly you're very welcome. I'm happy it helped. It's basically melted magnesium chloride flakes. Ancient minerals make good ones (check amazon). You can make it into oil by melting it in distilled water or just use the flakes in bath as you did or foot soak.

This horrible after taste is becoming a pain in the butt. I can’t enjoy anything without having to mouthwash after or chew a gum uuuggghhh. Sleep is still uncomfortable but hey, it comes with pregnancy.

Rants/Raves:
WE STILL HAVE NO PLACE TO LIVE YET!!!! I hate apartment hunting and we have to be out in less than 2 months. Also my perinatal appointment got rescheduled to four weeks from now due to my drs office eff up!!!! I’ll be almost 6 months pregnant by the time my twins gets fully checked out smt.

GTKY: What is your favorite baby purchase so far, or what are you most excited to buy?
I haven’t bought anything yet since everyone says to wait until after my shower. I am excited to get a pregnancy pillow. I need to experience a good nights rest!

@mag1cbeli3ver so ordering that! A friend told me it’s great for after birth as well, if you have a C Section.... I am itching to purchase something but I’ll wait until after we find a new apartment. I want to at least set up a crib for them.

@DecemberDoll27 @mag1cbeli3ver I got the snoogle few days ago. But I’m gonna return it. It is not built for short women (im 5’0”) and it also got really hot during the night. And one night I woke up in the middle of the night with hip pains. (I only used it for 2 nights).

I have the Queen Rose brand u-shaped pillow as well. I tried it for a week and couldn't sleep, I get suffocated (I dont like close quarters) and felt very uncomfortable. But, it could be just me, I cant even sleep with a pillow between my legs, talk about a picky sleeper! I dont think it keeps you hot becasue of the material, more so because it tucks you in and there is no air going through. Anyhow, I was sleeping just fine without it but recently was waking up with alot of back pain and my midwife told me I should start using it NOW. lol I took the pillow out again to try and last night was not bad at all. I pretty much didnt cover myself which helped to keep cool. I do agree with @mag1cbeli3ver that u shape make more sense than snoogle.

@Ilky I can totally see that! I actually kind of like being almost wrapped up by the pillow. I find it comforting! But I can see how some would find it suffocating, for sure. @prudence9-2 I also agree with what Ilky said about the heat. This particular pillow does get hot bc there's no airflow really as you're almost completely surrounded. The celling fan helps a lot in keeping me cool.
