  • @lu1180 they added a tunnel in our area and even after getting my gps update at the dealer it still doesn't show up, so Gypsy freaks out every time every time I go through it.

  • Why, just why, does my sister have to plan a wedding in 3 months. This is so stressful!

@lulu1180 I've heard that the updates are becoming less frequent because so many people don't use GPS's anymore, they just use their phones. And it's so true. My dad kept getting broken into about 10 years ago and his GPS's stolen. Last time his car was broken into, they just looked for money and left the GPS.
  • @lulu1180 - Ugh, TomTom. they make it so hard to do anything! I tried to get my dad to use his phone for GPS but he was (rightly so) concerned about going over his data plan - he bought the smallest one b/c he hardly ever uses the online part. So now every 3 months I get to remote into his computer and tell him what to plug in when to update it.

  • @catlady2015 That's my issue too!  One way, my trip is about 6 hours so there's no way I'm using my cell phone for that!  If I can't get it updated, I may print out google directions *just in case*

  • @lulu1180 sometimes you can download google directions to your phone to use offline. That way you'll have them, and if you get lost or need to change them, you'll just update the directions then. But it won't use your data the whole time.

  • @meggyme I think I've seen that option on Google Maps but never tried it.  Thanks for the heads up!!  Sometimes I feel old and like I'll never be completely up on all the technology

  • A lady just asked me if we give discounts on our products. We already have the cheapest rates in the city and her insurance is going to cover the majority of the cost up front. We do need to make some money!
  • Wtf to people needing things last minute. I was just about to head out to my appt and the guys ask me to add a vehicle to stock. I asked if it was an immediate need and get "well the customers at my desk now". So yes, it's an immediate need. Cool. My eye dr wont mind me being late right....  Mind you this has been an all week occurance. Thank goodness for that free coffee.....
