Karo syrup? for constipation.

DD has been constipated for the past 2 weeks. We've given her a few suppositories but she still won't do it on her own. She strains & grunts & cries. It's only been bothering her at night. Why is this? She is so tired. I tried apple juice & prune juice. She hates them both.

I guess I will get some Karo syrup tomorrow. Please tell me this will work. What's the recipe?

We bathe her every night so she's totally relaxed then. I've been putting her in her bouncy more b/c that's usually her pooping position. I've given her a little water. I've bicycled & massaged. We did the rectal temp thing also.

    that is exactly what our pedi told us to do! she told us to put 1 tsp karo in 2 oz of warm water. it helps over time, but it isn't instant.  don't give it more than once a day! GL!

    Yes, it does work!

    Like pp said - a spoonful in about 2 oz of warm water and shake it more than a martini :)

    The Karo does work. We tried water and a combo of pear juice and water on my DD. The Karo was the only thing that worked when she was severely constipated. Now once daily the pedi has me giving her the pear juice & water combo to prevent it from happening again.
