Finally a doctors appointment on Friday. Just a standard one but hoping to get referred to the Dr. that will potentially deliver me. (Hospital is an hr. away from me in a bigger town but they let me do most of my prenatal care here. -> small town Canada)

I have my 28 week appointment and ultrasound with OB on Wednesday. Excited to see Polly, it's been two months since I saw her. Also, I have an appointment with urologist on Thursday to check on how my pelvic kidney is doing.
Seeing the endocrinologist tomorrow for gestational diabetes, and expecting to be put on insulin. My numbers are much worse than they were with my daughter, even though I’m eating the same (diabetes diet).
Then regular OB checkup on Friday (27w6d)...although nothing is really “regular” anymore with all the extra monitoring from the GD diagnosis. Hoping to basically find out the plan for the rest of the pregnancy, and when she’ll expect me to deliver (induction or c-section).
Had an appointment this morning for a checkup, glucose test and Rhogam shot; I'm 27 weeks today! Baby is doing great and is measuring two weeks ahead, and I'm not surprised because I definitely look as big as I did towards the end of my pregnancy with DD. I should have my glucose screen results in a few days; I was allowed to eat a normal breakfast beforehand and thankfully, did not feel jittery or anything after chugging the drink like I did last time. Baby was jumping around like crazy afterwards!
I saw my doctor's NP today and she was amazing - she looked at my tick bite and said it looks fine right now, and to keep an eye on it. I shared my concerns about not getting return calls from
their office and she was really apologetic, addressed it with the front office
staff while I was there and gave me her cell phone number in case it happens
again. I definitely think there is a breakdown in communication happening with their front office staff and my doctor's nurses. Made my next appointment for two weeks out!

I have my 28 (even though I'm actually 27+4) appointment with my OB tomorrow. Includes the GD test, so that's fun. It went fine last time, so I'm not worried. More anxious to get placenta recheck scan scheduled. Crossing fingers we can do that in two weeks so I can stop worrying...or conversely give up hopes for home delivery.

Growth scan Thursday. Provided everything looks good, I can skip any more until 32w when I start them weekly to make sure my placenta hasn't given up from the low PAPP-A. If it doesn't look good, I'll get a different plan.
I had a private 3D/4D/HD ultrasound last week and baby girl was measuring almost 3 weeks ahead (3 lbs 9 oz at 28.5 weeks). So she's going to be a big baby. I'm not surprised since both DH and I were big ole babies. We have a doc ultrasound tomorrow to check placenta, so I'm assuming we'll get their measurement, and her size will be a large part of the discussion afterwards.
@Redpuma119 my right kidney is located in the pelvic region. It is something that some people are born with. It doesn't generally cause any trouble with other organs. I didnt know I had it until January, when I had my first ultrasound. During pregnancy or delivery, it could possibly cause me to have a stent put in and that is something that a urologist would do.
I have an OB appt. Thursday. I’m hoping we can do a tape test this week since I was allergic to the epidural tape last time. (Basically I am going to try out a bunch of different tapes to see which ones I am or am not allergic to.) I will likely deliver early which means I need to be ready in about 10 weeks which scares the crap out of me.
But also that I have mild anemia. I just need to start taking iron. Does anyone have recommendations for iron supplements that won’t upset your stomach?
@magnolia209 I think someone here takes a bariatric iron that's slow release? That would probably be something I'd look for. Also, might want to up your fiber/stool softener once you start taking that...

Yep that’s me. This is the one I take which is over the counter at my pharmacy. I have been drinking prune juice to help since I am super constipated (but I also have gastro issues that cause that, it’s not from the iron).
I should get my blood work results in the morning, but baby is growing well, and we scheduled on placenta follow up scan for two weeks, yay

@magnolia209 I also found out I'm slightly anemic and need to start taking extra iron (and the nurse recommended adding colace, as well). @yosemite2018 Thank you for sharing what you're taking - I'm going to look for that kind!

Not an OB appointment, but had a follow up endocrinology appointment to check my thyroid levels yesterday and everything is still looking good. No meds needed currently and I'll go back at the end of July. Happy to be healthy so far.
Appt went well. BP was on the low end of normal (again) which is making me feel even more validated that my "normal" BP was high for me and making me feel terrible last pregnancy.
OB appt went great today... except for Polly mean mugging us, not one smile. She weighs about 7 oz more than average but doctor wasn't worried. Got the Tdap shot without any reaction. Spoke with her about my problems with the staff. Next appt is in 3 weeks instead of 4. She mentioned that if I'm still sick at next appt, she is going to prescribe some medicine that could help. I've gained about 17 lbs so far but feel like it's so much more.
I am elated! Our growth scan this morning went well. I know those things are only estimates, but everything is measuring a few days ahead (even after bumping up my due date by one week). We've been so concerned about baby not growing well and having low birth weight that it is just awesome to hear "normal" and to get to skip a few extra scans! FX this sticks!
Had my 26 week appt and glucose test today. Everything is looking good. They’ll call back if I fail the GD or if iron is low. Otherwise, my next appt is in three weeks and then every two weeks after that.

Appt. was ok today. I was told I gained too much weight and my OB is worried about me having another difficult delivery. I have food allergies so what she wants me to cut out are almost all I can eat. I’m not eating salmon and salads only for the rest to of my pregnancy (ok she didn’t say that but it’s how I interpreted it).
I got the tdap shot, she measured baby (2lb 12oz... 50th percentile!), and I got to see his cute little face. He looks like his sister as a newborn from what I could tell which made me really happy. I go back in 4 weeks then 2 weeks. I also got referred to an allergist so I can try to find alternatives to the things I reacted to last delivery.
Oh I forgot to mention, the tdap shot always makes my arm hurt for days-wish I remembered that and got it in my right arm. Instead my left arm is sore, and that's the side I prefer to sleep on...oh well.

@yosemite2018 I have several mild food allergies but have found that during pregnancy I can eat whatever and not tell the difference. But my allergies are mild and primarily have gastrointestinal reactions so it's not like I go into anaphylactic shock or anything if I eat something I shouldn't.

My sister is seriously allergic to dairy (not just lactose but the milk protein) and she was able to have a small amount while pregnant. She's actually still ok with it (nursing and 5 months postpartum) but she takes a chance every time. That's great that you're able to bypass your allergies while pregnant too.
On the flip side, I have celiac so no cheating for me. Nothing anaphylactic but I will get seriously ill. I was diagnosed right when we started TCC DD so it was a double whammy taking away delicious gluten along with deli meats, hot dogs, and most importantly, sushi. This time around I'm eating sushi because I feel like it.
@yosemite2018 oh, yeah, celiac is a whole other serious thing. Cheating really won't work, will it? I'm the same (but mild) as your sister. I'm not lactose intolerant but actually allergic to the diary protein. I have to be pretty careful when I'm not pregnant but when there's a baby in me I go to town on all the cheeses! A while back I got to spend a little over a week in Europe and I couldn't help but eat the cheeses and ice creams and such and just assumed I'd get sick. At the end of the trip I realized I hadn't had one single bad reaction to food the whole time and was really surprised. I've since read that many people with food allergies do better with the food in Europe because most of the countries have really strict laws about food being organic and non GMO or something? Now I REALLY want to go back for a longer time and eat all the things and really pay attention to how I react or don't react. I feel like I could die happy if I could just eat whatever without getting sick. Unfortunately, I don't think the organic--ness or whatever it is would help with celiac

Yea, mine hurt bad last time. I tend to roll over in my sleep so it doesn't matter which arm I get it in. Last time I went for my non-dominant, but that's the side I usually carry DS on so maybe I should switch to my other arm this time.

I got my TDAP in my left (non dominant) arm yesterday and it was fine for a while... today it is super sore. At least I don’t notice it all day long since I basically hurt everywhere now. 9-11 more weeks! (I’m serving baby boy an early eviction notice in 9 weeks from now...)

If you only have to take yours once a day, then try taking it at night? That way you can sleep through the worst of it?
