Labor pains?

I've been cleaning the house all day today and having contractions all day. It started 20 min apart to 8 mins apart to 2 mins and back to 8 min. It's been very inconsistent throughout the day apart until now where it's every 3-5 minutes and its beyond painful. I've been at least 6 or so consistent contractions in a row. Should I be getting ready for the hospital?
