    CD: 38

WAYDTGKU: Acupuncture, BBT, PCOS diet, supplements

R/R: I let myself have a little gluten and dairy at dinner on Sat night.  It wasn't a lot, but it made me feel better because I have been so focused on my stupid diet and TTC that I think I am creating way too much stress for myself.  So I told myself the occasional dairy or gluten won't hurt me if I just stay away from it 95% of the time.  It made me relax a little (for now).  I finally heard back from my OB office and have an appt on Thursday for my yearly exam and am going to ask about the Provera and getting CD 3 bloodwork.  I was going to get it done at the RE, but I don't think it really matters which place I get bloodwork done.

CS/Q:  Ok I am just more confused than ever.  I had three days in a row of positive OPKS.  Yesterday and the day before, the line was darker than the control line.  Along with a lot of watery CM including quite a bit yesterday.  I didn't sleep well Sat night and woke up several times and then also woke up super hot and sweating.  So I think that Sun morning temp is not at all accurate.  No matter if I discard it or leave it, FF will put dotted CHs making CD 36 my O day.  But that doesn't seem right if I had a super positive OPK and watery CM the day after that right?  Honestly, I don't know why I bother trying to figure it out.  I am sure my temp will just be down again tomorrow and it won't matter anyways.

WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM, green tea, OPKs

R/R: Yesterday, H told me he was going golfing in the afternoon and I cringed. Whenever he goes golfing he always stays out later than planned and is exhausted when he gets home. We BD on Saturday and we were supposed to BD yesterday. But no, H got home super late and was "too tired to try tonight". I was, and still am, crushed. He knew we were supposed to BD yesterday so he should have gotten home earlier or not gone out at all. I wanted to yell at him and make him realize how hard I work to figure out my cycle and track everything so we have the best chance at conceiving. All he has to do to help out is have sex with me a few days in a row or so. If he gives me some BS tonight about being "too tired" again I'm probably going to freak out at him.

Why don't our SOs get it?!?

CS/Q: I got a positive OPK yesterday and one today. I had O pain yesterday as well so I thought that I Oed yesterday. My temp this morning was the same as yesterday, so maybe I Oed today? I'm hoping my temp goes up tomorrow. (I accidentally put in a spoiler and idk how to delete it)

  • @luckywife10 it drives me insane how much they don't get it sometimes. We do soooo much to make this happen and ask very little of them for "help". Sorry your DH is actually being a DH  right now.

@sparklingdiamond good to hear you relaxed a bit. This is a mentally exhausting process and we need a little bit of enjoyment once in a while. Hopefully your Dr will agree to let you have the provera and bloodwork.
  • @prpl11butterfly thanks, I'm so thankful that everyone here understands and can commiserate with each other when SOs are being difficult!

@sparklingdiamond good for you for relaxing! In my unprofessional opinion, a little variation from a diet every now and then is good for a person. I'm still trying to figure out OPKs for my current cycle, but with watery CM maybe your O day was CD 37 or today?
  • @prpl11butterfly Haha cats are so weird!

@luckywife10 Ugh that is so frustrating!  DH is actually being pretty great about it lately, but there were a few times I was like ugh come on!!  You can't be tired.  Just get through it lol.  But with my cycle being so crazy I am just kinda like whatever at this point.  I am really leaning at yesterday being O day, but again...I am sure my temp will be down tomorrow and my body won't have actually done it.
  • Month/Cycle: 4/3

    CD: 11

    WAYDTGKU: PNV, BBT, OPK, sexing

R/R: my temps are much less crazy than previous cycles so far. I may be inreasonably optimistic, but I feel like my body is starting to calm down after all those years of BC.

CS/Q:  I’m missing a couple days due to working through the night.

  • @sparklingdiamond I would guess based on your chart that CD37 was O day. FX a few more days of temping will show a clear pattern. It’s good timing either way though so keep HIO tonight if you can.

@prpl11butterfly I laughed at the idea of your cat eating the cover. Pets can be so nasty. My dog loves to jump up in the bed and lick the sheets clean after sex. It’s disgusting. Haha
  • @sparklingdiamond Frustrating but it seems like you're close! FX!
@prpl11butterfly At least she ate it before you used it? :p
    @luckywife10 I'm sorry about your DH :(
@TJtheGoat glad to hear things seem to be settling into a pattern for you after BC! I'm struggling with finding my "normal" here.

    AFM...
    Month/Cycle: 2/2

CD: 1...good morning to you too, AF.

WAYDTGKU: HIO; just downloaded the Clue app today to track my cycles (see below).

R/R: Well, our first "official" cycle was unsuccessful. We had excellent timing too (in retrospect); guess this was not my 20% chance of conceiving month. However, I was SUPER surprised by AF this AM as I wasn't expecting it until next weekend based on previous cycles.

I've mentioned it before but my cycle lengths have been longer than I've ever experienced (six-ish weeks) while I lost a lot of weight over the last 18mos or so - I used to be a 28d-set-the-clock-by-it kind of girl. I'm now noticing they're getting shorter and shorter again, closer to the average 28d length. This time was only 33d long whereas previous cycle was 38d long, had some 42ish day ones over the late fall/winter, etc. I'm not sure if it's because I'm finally happy with where I am weight-wise and have been maintaining or what. Just continuing to track what data I have :)

  • **Lurking from TWW**

@luckywife10 I'm so sorry. I have been so close to screaming at MF when he says "not tonight" or "we've already done it X times". I feel like to really get through I need to set up a powerpoint presentation with statistics and graphs. SO can be so dense. I hope you can talk to him about it or that he becomes more engaged with the process <3
  • @sparklingdiamond I’m glad you gave yourself a little leeway on the diet and are feeling more relaxed! I’m a firm believer in having cheat days or some wiggle room so you can still enjoy eating!

@prpl11butterfly pets are so weird! I had a cat who use to go find dirty socks and DH boxers and carry they down the stairs!

@luckywife10 I’m sorry about DH, they can definitely be frustrating when they just don’t seem to get what all we’re putting into this process! Just tell him in advance that today some bd must happen  ;)! I know, for us, giving DH some advanced notice helps!

@TJtheGoat yay for cycle getting back to normal!

    Month/Cycle: 6/6

    CD: 7

    WAYDTGKU: pnv, b6, charting, bd

R/R: We just had to move to new email addresses at work and of course the process is irritating and not going smoothly. And apparently we’re stuck with webmail until the outlook setup instructions get figured out... yay Monday...

CS/Q: this cycle is likely to be completely out of whack, so trying not focus on charting right now.

  • @luckywife10 I'm sorry your H flaked on you. That's the worst! Have you made him watch the Great Sperm Race? It might help him understand how small the window for conception actually is.
@Swiftlet CD1 solidarity. Are you temping and charting in FF? That might clear a lot of things up for you.

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

CD: 1  :'(  Pity Party Central over here.

WAYDTGKU:  I'm going to try to get in for acupuncture for this cycle. I'm not sure if I want to try to find a new place that's closer to my house or go back to the lady I used to see. She's just so darn far and my appointments with her were SO long. I used to see her after work and not get home until like 7:30, and I can't do that anymore. B complex, temping and charting in FF, scheduling HIO. Thinking about whether or not I need to cut my caffeine down and switch from coffee to tea in the mornings. But I NEED that coffee to function.

R/R: *TW Possible CP - I'm not actually sure*
So, I basically just wrapped up the cycle from hell. I started taking B complex to try to lengthen my LP, and it ended up being two whole days longer than it was last month. I feel like that's kind of a huge increase? Sigh. I got evaps on two blue dye tests and a wondfo, which I honestly do think were truly evaps, but it was extra confusing with the extended LP. I also had a couple of interesting subtle symptoms along the TWW which messed with my head, too. I'm really glad to finally have an answer, though. Limbo really sucks.

Anyway, on to the next. Thankfully we don't have any trips separating us this month, so I'm hoping we'll be able to get good timing. DH is actually on the other side of the country this week for work, which is good timing since I have AF anyway.

CS/Q:  Here's my chart from last month in case anyone wants to examine it.

  • @general_organa Ugh! Sorry we're rowing along in the same boat :(

I haven't tried temping/charting and I -think- I'm going to hold off for a bit yet. The simple reason is that I don't want to create a mental monster. I have the tendency to get obsessive (I'm can't be the only one, right?) and I worry this journey will begin to feel scientific and calculated. Which, rationally speaking (and in a science-based profession to boot!), I know science and data are important! I know that I may need to get more detail-oriented in the future if the laissez-faire thing isn't doing it. But right now, my inclination is to try another cycle or two and see how it goes. And of course continue reading along in here and soaking up everyone's awesome knowledge along the way :)
  • @Swiftlet I totally get it. I thought I could do laissez-faire and I'm too much of a control freak. The one month I told DH we should NTNP I turned into officially trying. I'm definitely a chart over-analyzer, but I do like knowing what's going on in my body! I should just relax and it'll happen right?  :p

@general_organa I totally get you. That's why I'm afraid to start putting more effort in if that makes any sense :D Although you are completely right that if I were to start, I'd maybe gain some ground on understand just what is afoot in my body with these decreasing cycle lengths. I'm not worried right now just because I do get a period and it's always the same but still makes me scratch my head.

And of course, that's how the universe works doncha know? ;)

As an aside, saw your post in TFAS and I'm a fellow WW (lifetime now, woot!) I wanted to get healthy before TTC. I love it :)

Happy Monday ladies! It’s so nice to see this thread active, I was missing the TTC chatter over the weekend. Started lurking the BMB groups and got kinda jelly, whoops lol.

prpl11butterfly That chart is beautiful! I might’ve crooned when I saw it  :D

luckywife10 I admire you for your patience with dealing with YH. It’s so tempting to lash out when they hurt/anger us, but I’ve come to realize that hinders communication. Do let him know how much that crushed you though, so he is aware of the situation. And FX all goes down well tonight.

LElkCot Why do you think your cycle is out of whack?

@general_organa That limbo state really sucks, I’m sorry. It sounds like it’s good that you’ve been able to lengthen your LP though. What was it before?

I’m still working on my tag game y’all. I want to comment on everyone’s situation but always running out of time. Just wanna wish you all a great start to the week  :)

: Our landlords are having A/C installed in our house today, I’m so stoked! It’ll be our first summer in San Jose and I’ve heard the heat can get brutal.

CS/Q:  My chart is a mess, but messy info is better than no info...that’s what I’m going with  :p This is the first full cycle of BBT and OPKs so I’m looking forward to seeing my temps shift and that positive OPK (hope it happens!). The first two cycles I guessed that my LP was 11days; I’m curious to see what it actually is with all the added info this cycle.

  • @Swiftlet congrats on lifetime! We just keep coming back to WW over and over lol - we are online only, so I don't think I'll ever get lifetime status. But it's the only "diet" that's ever really worked for me. I can't handle being told certain foods are off limits (like Keto, Whole 30, etc), and WW lets me eat anything I want as long as I "pay" for it (as you already know!). I love the points system, but I feel like it was better back when we did WW in 2012. 23 points a day feels like so little! I eat so many eggs now since they're 0 SP, I feel like Gaston  :p

  • @navete last month I had an 11 day LP, which honestly felt a bit short to me and this month it was 13 days. It seems crazy! I didn't realize you were in the Bay Area! I'm up in the East Bay. :) And yes, we will have plenty of 100*+ days this summer. Hooray for AC!

@general_organa I actually just moved down from the East Bay! Spent 16 years in Berkeley/El Cerrito. But we never needed AC there so I was a bit shocked to discover that it’s necessary down here...Bay Area and it’s amazing micro climates lol. What city are you in (if you feel comfortable saying)?

Is 11 days short for LP? Maybe I should start taking B complex too. Thanks for sharing your info!
  • @general_organa @navete Fellow East Bay friends!
  • Thanks everyone for the support with the DH situation! I jokingly asked DH when he got home from work if he had saved energy for BD tonight, he said he did! :D I do plan on reminding him how important BD around this time is, after we BD tonight. @general_organa I saw The Great Sperm Race a couple years ago and found it really interesting! I told DH what it was about and that he should watch it, he responded with something like "no freaking way." Haha.

    @Swiftlet and @general_organa sorry about CD1 :(

Question: Has anyone noticed changes in their CM when drinking green tea consistently? I've been drinking green tea every day this cycle and have had more EWCM in the last few days than I have ever had before.

  • @sparklingdiamond that’s so frustrating I’m so sorry.

CS/Q:  I didn’t realize that B helped lengthen LP maybe that’s why my cycle has been a day longer each of my last 4 cycles. I’ve also being Oing a day later though so really my LP isn’t longer. But I hate not Oing until day 20

    @general_organa @TJtheGoat Hello neighbors!  :)

If anyone is still up, I have a question and hope this is an OK thread to ask. I picked up some ClearBlue Digital OPKs to add to the Wondfos I’ve been using but I just read the instructions and it seems I should’ve started using them at CD8 (I’m now at CD11). Would I just be wasting these strips if I started using them so late? (I can’t test until tomorrow FMU, so CD12). I didn’t realize the first test was to establish a baseline :s
