last pregnancy, i had developed a milk intolerance that lasted until midway through. this pregnancy, i noticed it happening again, so i have been avoiding milk—until yesterday when i decided a huge glass of chocolate fortified milk was a good idea. it wasn’t, at all. my ms came back with a vengence, the whole kit and caboodle: complete food aversions, extra sensitivity to smells, nausea (but thankfully no vomiting).

related— because of the ms, the only thing that sounded good to eat for dinner was a panera peach and blueberry almond milk smoothie, but when dh went to go get it, they couldn’t make it because they were out of blueberries

i didn’t answer my phone when dh called for me to pick something else so he came back with nothing that i wanted

The ring bearer from the wedding DD1 was in on a Saturday was sick (coughing, snotty, looking/sounding miserable). I woke up this morning with a sore/bright red dress throat and so much pressure in my ears.

I’m not a baby about being sick outside of pregnancy, but I’m going in today just to be checked out and called in to work to rest. My anatomy scan is Thursday, and I really don’t want to have something that had required antibiotics and be too sick to go in.

My rear brake hose on my car broke this weekend. We were heading home from dinner and my brake pedal went all the way to the floor. DH was going to fix it, but couldn't get at the part so we have to bring it somewhere now. DH is at jury duty today, and I'm hoping he gets let out so he can bring my car to the shop and get it fixed ASAP. My coworker was able to grab me on the way to work this morning, but I didn't get to stop at Dunks, so I am coffee-less and cranky and can't do this all week!

I told our friends we'd go to the botanic gardens to make mudpies with them (which is kids stirring up mud and putting things in it like pinecones) which sounds fun, but it's 9am and the heat index is already 88. I don't like heat anyway, but pregnancy + heat super sucks. I just want to live somewhere that it's 40-70 degrees all year round.

@Tessiesmom26 that sounds scary about them going out that way. I'm glad all is ok and hope it can be fixed soon!
@highsteaks sorry about the milk incident. I love chocolate milk when pregnant, so that is a total bummer. Hopefully it goes away soon.

I'm stressed about this week. It doesn't help that work is so slow and there are so many things I could be doing at home. We are having photographs done this week for our listing (house is getting listed in a few weeks) and so much is still a mess. Our realtor came over this morning to tell DH what absolutely has to be done for the photos on Friday. I'm hoping the list isn't too long. On top of it all, I'm catering a wedding with desserts this weekend (side job) and that will only contribute to the mess. Bleh.

@mockingjay1 I hate the heat during pregnancy too. I have a feeling our summer might not be as fun this year. Or dad will be doing it solo.

I am gettting super frustrated in our mini van venture. We finally found one we both like with low miles and a great price. The sales man we had been talking with is suddenly not responding when our bank needs info for the loan. I swear if I lose my van after months of looking because he’s being a douche I am gonna cry!!!

@mockingjay1 +1 about the heat. It sucks so much. I signed up DS for swim lessons starting Wed. so I know I'm going to have to be out in it the last 3 days of this week and next.

My grandpa forgot he said he would stay over tonight and watch DS so DH and I could go to a concert. He scheduled an appointment for early tomorrow AM so he went home already. Which means I'm taking care of DS today, with no plans on what to do, and I haven't been able to find anyone else that can watch DS tonight.

@wannaflickone We are getting ready to list our house soon, too! Relieved someone else is in the same boat, because I've really been stressed about moving to a new state and the pregnancy happening at the same time. I also need to get the house in order so my realtor can take pics! Kind of stressful, but I want it to look as cute as possible.

My Monday BF is basically the whole pregnant, moving, husband deployed, doing everything by myself thing. Anyone looking to buy a house in Savannah, GA? I have one for you!

So an update to the car situation.. the mechanic can’t look at it until Wednesday. Luckily my parents have an extra truck so DH is borrowing that so I can take his car. DH also got picked for jury duty so we couldn’t really play musical cars for the next few days. It could be worse!

Thanks, ladies! Strep test was negative, so just viral. I came home and slept literally all day!

Added MMB - severe weather tonight. Confirmed tornados just north and south of here. I’m super stressing out! I hate this weather....

@runningyogimama stay safe! Tornados freak me out. I wanted to build a tornado shelter in our new house but DH thought I was overreacting.

@lachnessmomster you are amazing to do this by yourself! We had so many small projects that needed finishing. Our realtor came through today and our house feels so bare now. But I think it may make the move easier because so much of what made it feel like home is packed up. Good luck with your move!
