We are expecting our 2nd child in November. We have the girl's name MollyKate picked out as it honors both my hubby's and my grandmother. Our current child's name is SadieDrew. Our last name rhymes with oust and starts with and F. We are definitely going to use the middle name Tate as it honors a family member . We currently agree on HenryTate but I worry about it being too popular. So I guess my 2 part question is do you think Henry is definitely too popular or still usable? And then any other suggestions you may have too. We like names that can have nicknames ( my husband has gone by the short version of his name for his whole life) some other names we have considered include Brooks(but no nickname) Simon ( I don't love it) and Elias( we know way too many Eli's) Thanks so much for your help!!
Henry is popular but it’s classic so it’s not as big a deal IMO. Brooks for example is more trendy popular so a name style I would avoid more than a classic popular name
suggesting:
Emmett Donovan Russell Vincent Bryce Calvin Edward
Agree with others. Popular and classic is different than popular and trendy. Brooks is cute but very trendy. I like Simon and Elias.
Suggesting... Sawyer, Silas, Leo, Archer/Archie, Theodore/Theo, Graham, Everett, Holden, Rowan
My immediate thought was that Sadie Drew and Marshall Tate sounded good as a sibset. Henry is ok and you definitely can't go wrong with a classic, but it's too popular, IMO. I like recognizable, correctly spelled names that are not as common.
