I am actually very thankful DH suggested looking into switching away from our hospital birth. (we are shooting for med free but realize crap can happen). He even suggested home birth which surprised the heck out of me. Home birth isn't covered at all by insurance so that is out. A birth center super close to a great hospital but not connected is where we are looking now. Insurance won't cover all of it but DH said it is totally worth it to get the support we want out of this birth.
DH also had a crappy emotional day last week and after we were able to spend some time together he commented that being around me helped get him out of his crappy emotions. That man makes me cry without and with pregnancy hormones!
I'm thankful for DH to tackle the three most important things on his To Do list in such a short time since I gave it to him on Monday. We are booked to see our estate lawyer tomorrow to draft our will, then off to the financial planner to review our new mortgage and set up a joint bank account. This weekend we go to Babies R us to set up our registry! I love crossing things off the long list we have!
Me 33 DH 41 TTC since 2016 Due: October 12, 2018 Location: Ontario, Canada
I’m late to this convo but I ran into some luck this week. To back up when my DH and I went on our babymoon to charleston in May we discovered Jenis ice cream. We got it every day we were there. We don’t have don’t have any locations up hear near Boston. We realized last weekend you can order it online for a pretty penny and they fedex it on dry ice. We figured we would give it a whirl. I think it shipped Monday with delivery planned Wednesday. We got a tracking alert that it was delayed a day. My DH called Jenis and asked if there was any chance it would make it still frozen on a Thursday and they said no way and were super nice and said a replacement box would be shipped out right away, scheduled to be delivered today, Saturday. The original box arrived Thursday and my DH got home early to try and rescue it and it was still frozen, a little soft, but not worse than if you had a long drive home from the grocery story with ice cream. So now we have the replacement box coming and will hopefully end up with double the ice cream
I'm thankful for a good tball game today. Normally when I have to go alone, without having SS with me my nerves run high. Today I had a great time, BM was nice to me and even waved good bye. And of course I got hugs from my little guy.
Thankful for a Saturday with nothing planned. I spent the morning doing laundry and catching up on stuff on the computer- not the Bump- other stuff on my to-do list.
Thankful for most of the day being just DH and I, took a rode up to a hunting store, he picked out adorable onsies for the babies, stopped at my aunt's to look at a mattress since it's bigger than ours, getting that next week, and stopped at Wal-Mart to buy our favorite cereals for dinner!(:
