What’s everyone up to this weekend?

I’m going for a hike this morning and then we are going to try and look for some patio furniture. We’ve recently done a lot of work on our yard (fence, patio, sod, etc) and I’m ready to just be able to sit outside and enjoy it!

Last week end we got DD new bunk beds set up and switched her to the play room to turn her room back into the nursery. A little early I know, but I figure this way she won’t feel like she’s losing her room to the new baby. Now this week end we have to keep purging our basement so we can move her toys downstairs ( our house is in chaos right now and it’s killing me hAha )

Then later today we are headed to friends for a bbq

We are prepping for a trip to San Francisco but GUYS I’m crazy and bought a car seat today! Haha it was such a good deal I couldn’t pass it up.

Just got home from 2 baseball games. DH is napping on the couch, my oldest is at his first sleepover (first at a friend’s- not family), the younger two are playing legos. So I’m just going to relax! No plans for tomorrow either. I like weekends like this... our next couple weekends are busy!

@Erinm278 I started buying stuff as I saw it on sale. Car seats are crazy expensive and when you find the one you want, no harm/shame in getting it early and on sale! Win-win!

@squirttheturtle I know! This is #3 for us but I swore I was fine after #2 so I got rid of everything. Toy R Us is going out of business and the car seat was just such a good deal!

DH and I took DD to the local zoo and then to my FILs house. Tomorrow DDs room is getting a big girl bed. She started crawling out her crib a few nights ago and its just a safer alternative at this point. Plus we will need the crib in 9 months so might as well try now so she doesnt think the baby stole it. But Ill spend the day organizing her room and toddler proofing it. I came across bins of her baby clothes and I cried. I hope we have another girl so i can use them again!

My oldest had a little league tournament. He hit the walk off single that won the game last night, which was extra exciting because he’s probably one of the worst players on the team

. They lost today though, so we’re done now til fall ball.

We’re in the early stages of moving and I should be working on packing but I’d rather just lay around and do nothing all night. We’ll see if the motivation comes tomorrow

I did finish a sewing project for my 2 yo today that has been sitting around semi completed for weeks now, so I consider that a win.

Today is a “family fun day” for my 4yo son’s Tball/Baseball League. We’d love to go, but it’s a potluck with bounce houses, and my son has multiple food allergies. With so many little kids sharing food and running around, it becomes a nightmare for me to keep him safe. I’m so sad because my husband (his dad) is the coach of his team and required to go because they’re also handing out medals today since our season is just about wrapped up. We decided not to tell my son about today at all, because you can’t mention a bounce house to a 4yo without having to take him there. Instead, we’re renting one and hosting our own “end of season” party on our property for his Tball team.

TL;DR Food allergies suck, and I wish all “family” social events didn’t have to revolve around Food.

Laughing at the irony.

We were supposed to have family pictures done a month ago but MIL wanted more time to 'plan' outfits, so we postponed until today. The weather on the original day: sunny and low 70s. The weather today: cloudy, cold, and rainy.

I'm waiting for her to cancel.

@Erinm278 I don’t blame you! I wish I would have known we were going to be expecting soon when our toys r us went out of business, i for sure would have stalked up!

@cali1710 I get super emotional putting away clothes. Just the clothes my 4yo DD wore this winter I was crying at packing them up.. whhyyy are clothes so sentimental?!

@Ktrue85 that’s awesome you are doing that for her! I agree, food allergies suck! My son is allergic to dairy, it’s not fun at all!

@squirttheturtle I love when things come back to bite my MIL in the butt

wedding weekend is finally over and I feel like I can breathe! We got there at noon on a Friday and we worked non stop until 3:00am this morning. I AM BEAT! My husband is driving the 4 hour drive home and I’m going to sleep! BUT it turned out great and she was happy so that’s all that matters!

@mainemama_ I know they are so expensive. My parents kept our bunk beds from when we were kids and they are made out of solid wood and still in great shape ! We just had to get new mattresses. So we lucked out !

you should check online for a used frame and just buy new mattresses! With both wood and metal, a good cleaning would make them look like new

@mainemama_ Dairy is so hard! That is the first allergy we learned about for my son. He's anaphylactic to dairy, wheat, and eggs. He's also allergic to coconut but can handle some cooked forms. He's had two anaphylactic episodes requiring EPI pen and hospital stays. Praying he never has to go through that again.

We had my youngest’s first birthday party this past weekend so we are exhausted. Last family just left and I’m currently taking a break from cleaning the floor. Getting shower, putting the Littles to bed and then heading there myself!

So my DD is 2.5yrs and started crawling out of her crib. Shes a wild child so I’m actually shocked it too this long. Shes also quite clumsy so we decided to switch her to a big girl bed, which would be way safer to get out of. She helped put it together and was super excited. Then nap came.. in and out and in and out ect, so no nap happened. Then bed time, same thing. Took two hours to finally get her to stay in bed and go to sleep. She wouldn’t lay with anyone or anything. Soo tiring! Anyone have any tips.. i know its a hugeee adjustment for them so it’ll take timel.

So gorgeous! I'm also crafty but more of a knitter/crocheter, though I have taken two sewing class before. Last night I picked out the blanket I want to knit for our LO but I'm not letting myself start it until we're at 10 weeks... So hard being so exited for my first!
