I went to my OB appointment 2 weeks ago and I am 2 cm the last 4 days I've been feeling a lot of pressure and contractions but none of them are regular but I stay with this cramping feeling in my lower abdomen it hurts really bad it feels like it's all in my back this morning all in my pelvic area is just non stop cramping could this be me dilating even more I have had all of my children all three of them between 32 weeks and 36 weeks pregnant I'm 33 weeks now I'll be 34 weeks on Tuesday I'm kind of freaking out right now is there any symptoms of dilation ???
Re: Dilated
I understand you must be stressed; since you've had other children all born premature, your doctor should know your history and should be able to answer any questions in regards to what the next steps should be in this situation.
Internet strangers cannot tell you how dialated you are. If you feel like you are contracting- which I’m assuming you would know the feeling after having 3 pre-term births, call. your. doctor.
Anyways no, there not "signs of dialation" per say and only your dr will be able to assess your level of dialation. I am also confused how if you have had other children why this a question? If you are concerned call the dr or nurse line or go in and checked out. We could tell you that you aren't dilating and it may be the opposite of what is happening for you.
OP, to add to what PP already said, you're considered premature at 33 weeks. If you're having pain that's "really bad", I would definitely recommend calling your OB on-call number or going straight to L&D. If they are true contractions, it's likely they would either stop labor or administer steroids to help with lung development. At any rate, I hope you've called already or gone in, rather than waiting on internet strangers to determine the outcome of your pregnancy.
