    EDD: 9/14
    Team Blue/Pink/Green: it's a boy!
    FTM/STM: FTM
Special concerns i.e. AMA/IF/High-risk etc. (If comfortable): No, and super thankful for it!
How are you feeling?: feel pretty great overall, but definitely starting to feel some limitations. Lifting things ain't easy :D
Rant/Rave of the week? Just had a really preggo moment yesterday, started bawling over nothing(happy years though). Just so excited to meet our lil guy!
    Questions? Not yet..
Holy cow, we're getting super close to viability, is that freaking anyone else out (in a totally good way)!? Such a huge relief! Although I know he's doing good cause he's definitely growing and is sooo active all the time <3

GTKY: Dream car (kids or no kids)? We've been dreaming about getting a Hyundai Santa Fe, such a smooth ride and is perfect for us with or without kids. But if we ever have the money for me to have my own car, it will probably be a VW or an Audi with a stick shift! Miss driving a stick.. That's all I drove back home(Norway).

    EDD: Sept 9!!!
Team Blue/Pink/Green: Team know but not sharing
    FTM/STM: 4th time Mom
Special concerns i.e. AMA/IF/High-risk etc. (If comfortable):  Whell, old but not being treated as such thankfully.
How are you feeling?:  Pretty good but I keep wanting to do too much.  The potatoes still aren't planted yet.
Rant/Rave of the week? I guess this is where I put that I've been measuring about 10 days small by fundal height and still am. BUT, I had my big ultrasound and baby is healthy and good and apparently the head measurement is ahead so, YEAH HOO!!! And due date is still officially Sept 9.
    Questions?  Nope!!!
Holy cow, we're getting super close to viability, is that freaking anyone else out (in a totally good way)!? Well, apparently this child needs a name eventually and an infant car seat is probably a good idea...  BUT NO, because see dream car comment.
GTKY: Dream car (kids or no kids)?  WE BOUGHT A SUBURBAN!!!!  We now have a vehicle big enough to move our ENTIRE family around.  It's a 2010 and a pretty blue/gray colour and in great condition on the inside and, importantly, we could actually afford it!!!  Is it a dream car, well, right now yes because we it fits our whole family....

EDD: 9/12 but considering just telling people 9/19 since that will be eviction date

    Team Blue/Pink/Green: green

    FTM/STM: STM, DD is 2

    Special concerns: none

How are you feeling?: Last pregnancy I had an anterior placenta so this time I feel all sorts of wiggles, it's usually fun but also weird

Rant/Rave of the week? I'm not sleeping well, also my "workout" yesterday totally killed me even though I dialed the intensity down to like 2, I'm sore all over today

Questions? Anyone use a jujube bag for their pump??? They are such a good deal right now but I'm nervous to pull the trigger

Holy cow, we're getting super close to viability, is that freaking anyone else out (in a totally good way)!?  Yaaaaaaas!!!!!

GTKY: Dream car (kids or no kids)?
This is tough, I'm not really into cars. I'm really happy right now with our Subaru Crosstrek and Buick enclave

    EDD: 9/14
    Team Blue/Pink/Green:Blue! It's a Boy!
    FTM/STM: FTM

Special concerns i.e. AMA/IF/High-risk etc. (If comfortable): Technically AMA (I'll be 35 on Father's Day). Low placenta - hoping it moves up and hoping to avoid placenta previa - getting checked for this again at 28 weeks.

How are you feeling?: I've been feeling very tired and having nose bleeds and horrid congestion this week. I'm hoping it's just pregnancy/allergies. It feels like it it might be turning into a sinus infection. Trying to avoid that and will talk to the doctor at my 24 week appointment next week.

Rant/Rave of the week? I can feel the baby!!! I have an anterior placenta and had not been feeling much until Mother's Day when all of the sudden I felt really clear movements and even saw my bump moving a little bit. I've been feeling at least a little bit of movement every day since then (some days more, some days less). It's so exciting to me!

Questions? I am curious when my glucose test will happen. The doctor has not mentioned it yet but probably will at my appointment next week.

Holy cow, we're getting super close to viability, is that freaking anyone else out (in a totally good way)!? I'm so excited for each new milestone, but this actually makes me a little anxious because I can't bare to think about having a baby at 24 weeks. I know this means that it could survive and that's amazing! But, I just have trouble getting excited yet. I will still totally join the GIF party when I get there. I love celebrating each milestone that brings us closer to having babies!

GTKY: Dream car (kids or no kids)? I'm not into cars at all and actually don't have one right now. I am planning to get a car when I go back to work after maternity leave. But i'm excited to be without one now and while on leave. We are in walking distance of a beautiful park, an air conditioned mall, and several grocery stores so I think the baby and I will just make a point to walk everywhere we can from September - December (remember we are in LA and have nice weather that whole time). My H will take us to all doctors appointment. He has a flexible schedule (and a car).

@magnolia209 some doctors do the glucose test at 24w but mine did it at 28w last time (I’m 25w now and she hasn’t mentioned it to me either). If yours hasn’t mentioned it she probably will this time and you’ll take it at the next one.

Questions? I am curious when my glucose test will happen. The doctor has not mentioned it yet but probably will at my appointment next week.

My office does it around 26-28 weeks but will push it to 29 weeks if necessary so it falls on the same day as a standard monthly check-up.

@magnolia209  Hooray for feeling movement, mama!  And consistently!  That is so much fun, and the best Mother's Day present ever!  Incidentally, I found myself semi-freaking out when DH got home that evening, to find these two thick, weird lines on my tummy, like am I suddenly getting gigantic stretch marks in the middle of my belly????  Happy Mother's Day to me, right?  Turns out something in my waistband must have just been pressing, because they went away.   But now I know, he is basically chomping at the bit to have one more thing to start teasing me about lol

FWIW, my office told me we will do the glucose test, and check my thyroid levels, both at 28 weeks when I asked at my 16 week appointment.  Since they will be following up on your placental placement as well, sounds to me like that could well be, "check all the things," week! Lol  GL oh, did your sinuses ever clear up for you?  I hope you don't need to go to UC.   :#

@EErin86  I'm a FTM so all this is so new to me.  Can you remind me why they already gave you an induction date?

Oooh, I have been googling the jujube bags, too.  Especially with this sale on.  I want to get a bff so badly, but DH wants me tonhold off on buying anything else for now, and suggested I add it to the registry. :/  I will add it to the registry on clearance and see what happens, but I felt bad putting one on there at full price.  I mean, it's more than our crib! Lol  but they are great bags, from what I hear.  For my pump, tho, I ended up with a Sarah Wells bag, I was able to buy through the aeroflow website, believe it or not, and the matching pumparoo staging mat as well.  :D  I'm so excited!!!  ...although I'm sure that will fade as the reality of constantly pumping / pumping at work set in... :/

@arcticseal-2  EDD Buddy!!!  Congrats on the new wheels!  I just have to say, you are living the dream for me right now.  This is my first, but we have five embies waiting for us, that we plan to eventually transfer all by eSET.  We always wanted a bigger family, and while we probably won't do another retrieval either way, I am hoping we will be blessed with a few more outside babies from our lil nest of snobabies.  DH has said really two would be fine with him, (although going through four more losses does not sounds great at all), where I am for sure hoping we get to be a 3+ family.  The chances of us actually making it to five outside babies is probably not great for us (without another retrieval, andplus #gettingolderbytheminute) but a girl can dream!   :D

@lilidubs  Ah!  Norway!  Where are you living now?  I am also #stickchick4lyfe but when we do get our new (to us) SUV, it will probably be automatic.  Right now I switch between DHs big diesel truck, which is an automatic, or bouncing around in the Jeep, which is a stick, and it's great!  I think every girl (<i>especially</i>), should know how to drive stick.  Heaven forbid you get stuck somewhere, and there's a vehicle at your disposal, but you, "can't drive it," bc it's a standard.  Heck no!  Lemme at it!  Only problem now, is the Jeep is totally fun, but not speedy - like at all lol so one of these days I'd love to get one of those vintage muscle cars.  Actually peel out a little bit from the lights and whatnot.  Vroom vroom!!

    FTM/STM: FTM
Special concerns i.e. AMA/IF/High-risk etc. (If comfortable): Technically AMA (recently turned 35), IVF, watching weight...  :#

How are you feeling?:  Mostly pretty Good!  Would love to be getting more sleep tho, I feel like carpal tunnel is setting in my right wrist, and feet are still absolutely killing me!  But part of that is since my week off, I can't find my fall/winter work shoes, with the heel insoles in them, <i>anywhere...</i>  I've got to take time to really look harder tho, bc I bought a new pair of comfy work shoes for spring, just they are definitely big, and I need to try them with the insole and socks.  So I hope those turn up to try before I can't return the shoes anymore, if they are in fact, just too big.

Rant/Rave of the week?  Fetal Echo went great!  And the best part, is we got an adorable 3D face image out if the deal.  So that is my wallpaper on my phone now, and I get to just sit and gaze at my baby's face in wonder.  So happy to think we are finally going to meet him or her, before too much longer...

    Questions?

Holy cow, we're getting super close to viability, is that freaking anyone else out (in a totally good way)!?  Just a little? Lol. Our upstairs rooms have got to be all three rearranged, so that's a big hurdle I feel like after the bedrooms are all cleared out, swapped around, and we can start just organizing babies CDs and things in the nursery, that will be a big relief.  Baby will be in the mini crib in our room for a while, but first we need to get our own new bedframe, too.  So for the time being I'm like, well if we had to bring the baby home as is, a babybox on the floor by the mattress will be safe and within arm's reach - it will be fine.  But definitely grateful we have more time to get things ready properly!!!  :D

<span>GTKY: Dream car (kids or no kids)? I have been stalking Craigslist for a good suv, and I love the Grand Cherokees, but I also like the giant ones like the Yukon, Expedition, Suburban etc.  Right now there's a Grand Cherokee with a hemi and a great looking leather interior, moonroof etc. I really would love to scoop up, we just have to see if it's still there when we get the cash together.  But realistically it probably won't be. Lol if we could dare to dream, it'd be a brand new fully loaded Grand Cherokee?  or maybe BMW, idk.  Who am I kidding.  The BMW would probably win in that scenario lol</span>

@BusinessWife I love all of your updates and glad you are feeling overall pretty good! My legs and feet have been bothering me too. Standing in the ocean in Miami really helped! Can you get to a beach?

My sinus issues continue. I’m just seeming to barely manage keeping it from turning into an infection thanks to lots of saline spray and the humidifier and lots of vitamin C. I see my OB on Thursday, so I will def. ask her about my sinus issues.

I have also had some stretch mark false alarms! It’s always been lines from my clothes! Let’s hope that keeps being the case!

The movement is so exciting! This morning my H said to my bump: “Baby, we love you!” and the baby immediately reacted and did some crazy movement! It was the coolest thing ever!

And I think you are right that they will check everything at 28 weeks. I also have the thyroid issue and they have been testing that monthly, but skipped 20 weeks. So far so good on the lowest dose of levothyroxine!

@BusinessWife We went through infertility as well (though NOTHING compared to you.  Only clomid) so having 3 children and, now with the surprise 4th is a bit of a dream come to true for me too!!!  I hope that you are able to bring some (all!) of your  embabies home!

Note on 3 row seater vehicles.  Check the storage behind the 3rd seat.   We looked at a Yukon (not the XL) that had, no joke, less than 6 ins behind the third seat.  I wouldn't have been able to fit even one weeks groceries back there now, before Kid#4 gets here.

@BusinessWife ahhh I totally agree! Feel like knowing how to drive a stick definitely makes you a better driver + it's just way more fun! I'm in NYC now so we're getting by without a car for now :)

Sorry to hear about your carpal tunnel, that's the worst! I had a little flare up a few years back, mainly because of the job I was in (super repetitive, doing the same task for 8 hrs!) and when I left the job it subsided. Get a good sleeve and try to switch up how you use your hands/pick up things etc. As for shoes, I have given up on them.. I live in my birkenstocks! Saving lives! Get the soft footbed <3

@BusinessWife my doctor's policy is to induce one week after the due date. With DD that's what happened and that week after my due date was frustrating because I was cranky and tired of hearing "awww no baby yet?". Some doctors will let you go longer so it's up to your OB what the plan is. I don't technically have anything scheduled yet but if I pretend my due date is later than it is than I won't be sulking around so much.

@BusinessWife, hope that your carpal tunnel and feet are feeling better.
@magnolia209, hope your sinus issues have subsided.

    EDD:
      Sept. 9 (looks like a popular date @articseal-2 & @BusinessWife

    Team Blue/Pink/Green: Blue

    FTM/STM: This is boy #4

Special concerns i.e. AMA/IF/High-risk etc. (If comfortable):  I'm AMA, but it's unlikely that the doctor will treat this pregnancy any differently unless something comes up later on.

How are you feeling?:  Mostly pretty well.  Some back pain, a little cramping, and some Braxton Hicks this past week, but I'm sure that was mostly due to dehydration and overdoing it (we were at the beach on vacation).

    Rant/Rave of the week?
Being at the beach with all three boys was a lot of fun, but it also made me realize that I' going to have to redefine how I think about vacations for the next few years and try not to stress as much.

    Questions?  None

Holy cow, we're getting super close to viability, is that freaking anyone else out (in a totally good way)!?  I try not to think all that much about it or I really might freak out a bit.  Even though this pregnancy was planned, logistically juggling 4 is going to be interesting for the first several months.

GTKY: Dream car (kids or no kids)?  I'm not all that in to cars really as evidenced by the super "cool" (read practical) Honda Odyssey I currently drive.  There just wouldn't have been enough "trunk" space in the SUVs that we were looking at at the time for all the boys' things plus our dogs when we went on trips (we have 4 small dogs that we used to travel with regularly).   In about 5 years or so, I'm hoping to upgrade to an SUV of some kind - anything else will be a no go for over a decade.

Special concerns i.e. AMA/IF/High-risk etc. (If comfortable): AMA, as I turned 35 in december

Ha, the whole thing didn’t go through, but I got more that time. This will be piece by piece!

Holy cow, we're getting super close to viability, is that freaking anyone else out (in a totally good way)!? Even though I know it’s super early and still risky if baby girl were to come, it feels good to be 24+ weeks now!

GTKY: Dream car (kids or no kids)? Dream car would be Audi or VW atlas at this point, but we test drove those as well as the Honda Odyssey, and the mini van is just so roomy and convenient for 3 young kids! I never thought I’d own a minivan, but I think we’re going to do it.

How are you feeling?: Great for the most part! Having BH that come and go, but my doctor said not to worry unless I experience four or more in an hour. Feeling lots and lots of strong kicks, punches and rolls!
Rant/Rave of the week? No rants today, it's been a great week! Rave: My DD graduates from Pre-K tonight! We're going to dinner with some family and close friends beforehand and I'm looking forward to celebrating her! Also, my friend dropped by my office yesterday and brought me the most delicious huge cookies yesterday and I've already enjoyed a couple...and can't wait to finish my lunch so I can eat another!
    Questions? Nope
Holy cow, we're getting super close to viability, is that freaking anyone else out (in a totally good way)!? Hit 24 weeks on Monday! Woo hoo! The reality that we will be on "baby watch" in about three months is certainly making this feel very real!
GTKY: Dream car (kids or no kids)? I had a Mustang convertible before having my DD and have some wonderful memories that involve that car. We traded it in for my SUV when I was pregnant, but I still wish we could have found a way to keep it! I would love to have the same one some day in the future!

    FTM/STM: STM
Special concerns i.e. AMA/IF/High-risk etc. (If comfortable): I made a large baby last time (9lbs2oz) so they’ll be monitoring baby girl’s size at 32 and 37 weeks to make sure she doesn’t get too huge.
How are you feeling?: I separated my pubic symphisis on mother’s day and have been healing up since then. Feeling significantly better the last few days. Otherwise I’m just tired always.
Rant/Rave of the week? My 18mo took a 4 hour nap today and it was glorious. The fact that he’s obviously a little under the weather makes me feel guilty for enjoying it so much but man was it a nice break. Also, passed my GD test with flying colors this week!
    Questions? Nope
Holy cow, we're getting super close to viability, is that freaking anyone else out (in a totally good way)!? I hit 24w last wednesday! It’s so crazy that we’ve hit this point in our pregnancies!
GTKY: Dream car (kids or no kids)?
SUV all day every day. My mom dreamcar is a Mercedes GL. I’m looking into buying a used one this summer which would be amazing! If I didn’t have kids I’d maybe get a Porsche Cayanne? I’ve got expensive car tastes.

@AdmiralKitty  oh no!  That sounds really painful!  How'd that happen?  Glad you are feeling a bit better already, and congrats on passing the GD test!  I cant believ i have to wait 3 more weeks to get that overwith...

But I mentioned on the apts thread, I did another unofficial test at home today, (with a big bowl of oatmeal), and was right down to 102 at exactly an hour later, so that's a relief!  DH has the tester and strips, so I will probably test a few more times at home, just because the midwives have me paranoid now. Lol errr - I mean, because I can, and I mean, why not?  I feel like even if I pass at 28 weeks, it'll be good to test myself again at 32 and 36 weeks at least, just to make sure I don't get late onset? :/
  • Options
@BusinessWife getting out of the pool like a moron after DS’s swim class. I did it last go around at 14weeks so I’m thrilled I made it to 22ish before messing it all up this time. It’s pretty horrifically painful, but luckily I did PT last time so I knew what to avoid and what to do to help it heal as much as it can while I’m still KU.

That’s awesome that you can test at home for piece of mind! As long as you’re not going crazy with your eating habits late in your pregnancy you should be fine. I don’t think there isn’t much to be done about late onset GD?

@BusinessWife I got a mani/pedi yesterday and it was glorious! Have fun!

I’m in Cincinnati this weekend having a girls weekend with my best friends! It’s super fun, but, I keep eating too much and I just don’t have room in my squished belly to keep up with my friends! I need to eat very small portions more frequently, but I keep forgetting! Oh well - I’m having a blast!

I feel like September is sneaking up on me. I feel like it's so far away (it's not) and I keep assuming I will go past my due date. Then someone at a party last night mentioned that their daughter came a month early  :#  I never even thought about having a plan in case baby comes early. I may be having a mild freak out today

@EErin86 I am having those same feelings, too! Just in the last week, I think it's really hit me how soon #2 will be here!

My friend brought her 10 month old over yesterday and it was so sweet to watch my daughter playing with/entertaining her. But we are also SO far removed from the baby stage it will definitely be an adjustment. I am also starting to feel really pregnant. We went hiking this weekend and I had to go pretty slowly, then I spent a few hours in the kitchen yesterday and my back was really hurting after. Feeling the need to slow down and utilize my heating pad on a frequent basis :#

Me too @southernlady07! Everytime we're out walking our dog, my hubby and dog ends up far ahead while I'm waddling behind  :D i keep getting stitches on both sides and a sore back. Definitely need to get a heating pad! We had a really busy weekend at the restaurant, and it's definitely taking me longer to recover after working 12-14hr days...

I have found an ice pack is helping as an alternative to a heating pad. I'd love to take some advil to remove some joint swelling, but an ice pack is second best for me.
