    9 weeks, 6 days

    Why are you high-risk?
    Type 1 Diabetic

Just finished an appointment at my endocrinologist. Making some adjustments to my insulin pump settings. But good news is my a1c came back at 5.7%!

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
I met with my OB last week. I also have a history of high blood pressure and with my last pregnancy ended up with severe pre-e. He mentioned that he will start me on baby aspirin at the end of the first trimester. Anyone else doing this as well?

GTKY: What was the last movie you saw in the theater?
    Avengers: Infinity War
Thor is by far the best Avenger.

    Hi! Joining you :)

    How far along are you?
    9weeks 4days

    Why are you high-risk?
I’ve had a partial placenta abruption and pre-e and with my current FET already having really high BP before getting pregnant ao started meds few weeks ago. Praying not to have any issues but you never know and now I’m older so we shall see.

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
Starting 24 hour collections at 13 weeks before my heading to my NT scab.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Not really since I’ve been down this road before but having high bp already makes me nervous.

GTKY: What was the last movie you saw in the theater?
50 shades darker.. was too damn sober for that mess!

@mit@mittenlove86 I’ve heard about baby aspirin but my docs have never recommended it to me but my gp even mentioned it. What does it do? Always curious. Are you nervous about pre-e again? I didn’t get it my second time but had protein show up two days before my second son came.

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born.

6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    Why are you high-risk?
Gestational Diabetes (potentially just unknown type 2 since they discovered it at 6 weeks)

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
I have my NT scan on Tuesday. Not sure why, but I've been so nervous about this pregnancy and something going wrong, so I'm nervous (for no real legitimate reason) that the NT scan will bring bad news.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Not right now, unless anyone has other snack idea with protein besides peanut butter and cheese? (Not together of course lol, but my go to snacks always have one of those) Or meal ideas, I'm always looking for new meals since DH and I have had to change our eating habits.

GTKY: What was the last movie you saw in the theater?
Avengers: Infinity War, it was SO GOOD!!!

Hi @mcgeeva!  I’m told I’m to start baby aspirin at 12 weeks.

@mittenlove86 Thanks for starting this.  I saw (and loved!) it when you first posted, but haven’t officially been deemed high risk despite my age (40), chronic hypertension, questionable A1c of 5.8 at the beginning of April (had my physical the day after my FET)...

@CecilB93  How about hummus with celery sticks or nuts?  I keep a Costco-sized bag of almonds in my car (with a 1/4 cup scoop in the bag so I have some idea of how much I’m eating) and I’m often so happy to see it!  But I’ve been snacking on “triscuit nachos” at the office (and sometimes at home too).  I’m still feeling nauseous though so not eating as well as I should.

    How far along are you?

    Today I’m 11w2d

    Why are you high-risk?

Mostly the aforementioned age (40), chronic hypertension, questionable A1c of 5.8.

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?

This coming Friday morning we’re knocking out 3 appointments at once - genetic counseling, NT scan, and OB appointment (in that order).

    Rants/Raves/Questions?

My nausea has been mild (hoping not to throw up for the first time this week), but it didn’t start till 8 weeks and got notably worse at 10 weeks.  I’m grateful that it’s mild, but it’s still getting old.

Otherwise...just a little anxious as my *TW* first pregnancy loss point approaches this week :-/

GTKY: What was the last movie you saw in the theater?

Phantom Thread - we don’t see too many movies in the theater so it’s been a while!

Hiya ladies!  I'm joining in too. Nice to see this thread resurrected.

@CecilB93 Try your best to relax and not worry, chances are there will be good news!  I know easier said than done.  Hummus (homemade, since apparently store bought can harbor Listeria) is a good high protein snack option.

    How far along are you?

    11 weeks today

    Why are you high-risk?
Hypothyroidism, obesity (though I had just lost 35 lbs prior to conceiving).

***TMI***With my crazy hormone issues and SO's lowT and sperm count, I didn't really think we would get pregnant. We weren't exactly trying, and definitely weren't prepared for this. Whoops!  But now definitely getting excited and SO has come around too!

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
I am meeting with my regular OB this Friday, hoping to get pelvic rest lifted and get the go - ahead to get back to kickboxing!  If I don't go back, I feel like I will gain back all the weight I just lost, and I don't want that and neither do my doctors.  Kickboxing is the only thing that has helped me lose weight and keep it off!  I need it back in my life.

Then next Friday is my first meeting with MFM, my 12 week ultrasound and NT scan, and possibly NIPT if we decide to do it. So many decisions ahead!

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
I really wish my random spotting/ bleeding would stop already. I feel like every time it starts back up or gets worse my heart sinks and I feel like "this is it, it's over".  I need this to stop because it's causing me so much unnecessary stress and worry.  Crazy how quickly you get invested and really start loving this little baby bean.  I've yelled at him (in my head it's a boy even though we don't know) to keep growing and getting bigger and stronger more times than I can count.

GTKY: What was the last movie you saw in the theater?
We go to the theater so infrequently I honestly can't even remember.   Maybe Guardians of the Galaxy 2?

@artemis618 @scaredunprepared funny you both say hummus, I've had it once in my life and hated it lol. Idk, maybe I'll make some and try it, I've always been super picky which is why I'm having trouble thinking of new snacks and meals!

@scaredunprepared kickboxing sounds fun! I've always wanted to do something like that, just never got into it. Hopefully you can get back to it soon!

    How far along are you?
    13 weeks 5 days!

    Why are you high-risk?
I have a thyroid autoimmune disease, also AMA, overweight and had **TW two losses prior to this pregnancy. End TW**

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
Nope - I just saw my endocrinologist last week and my numbers are looking rock solid so far, thank god. This is seeming to be much like the successful pregnancy I had with my DD, where my thyroid numbers never veered out of range, and unlike *TW with my MMC, where we had trouble keeping them steady and in range. End TW**

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Just thrilled my thyroid is cooperating. It's been VERY tough to control after I had a terrible bout of postpartum thyroiditis, so I'm relieved.

GTKY: What was the last movie you saw in the theater?
I literally haven't seen a movie in the theater since before my daughter was born and she'll be 2.5 in August so...I have no idea, lol.

@CecilB93 Good luck with your NT scan Tuesday and sorry you've been so anxious!

@scaredunprepared So sorry you're still dealing with bleeding - I hope it stops soon!

@mcgeeva I did some free classes thru May, but can't afford to pay for them now (May was the gyms soft opening and she was offering the class for free). I need to be, but I'm not a good "do it at home" person. Unless your doctor has any reasons you shouldn't, I say go for it. Just do your research and be aware of when you need to modify things. At some point you'll have to cut out core exercises, but they're generally still okay in the first tri since baby is so small and low. I don't know the rules, my trainer when I was pregnant with DS knew it all, so I just listened to her.

ETA I wasn't high risk with DS, but I worked out until about 5 months when she stopped her training sessions and managed to squat 100#. I would have continued longer if she kept up the sessions honestly!

@CecilB93 sadly I have no abbs lol! I worked out with my first till I had a placenta abruption at 30 weeks. I am def not in shape like I should be. But want to get back at it. Want to either swim or maybe do the pregnancy beach body or start walking before work. Holy crow you were in great shape! Being older this time around I’d love to start working on things now.

@mcgeeva I feel awful that I haven’t been exercising but I’ve just been so tired and nauseous lately (I even resort to taking naps in my car during lunch!).  I used to go to the gym every weekday before work to avoid traffic, with with all the infertility treatments over the last year and a half that’s dropped off.  Also, I admit I’m a little afraid since I still haven’t hit my first *TW* loss point.  Three pregnancies and no baby yet messes with your head :(. But I know it’s important to get back into it.  I tried a prenatal yoga dvd I borrowed from the library yesterday and getting used to working out again will definitely be a(n unpleasant) thing for me.

@scaredunprepared Good point about the store-bought hummus.  It didn’t even occur to me to buy it because it’s so easy to make.  Plus, if @CecilB93 makes it herself, maybe she can flavor it more to her liking.

@mcgeeva I was working out until about 2 weeks ago when the bleeding got worse and my doctor told me to stop. Since then I've only been walking, as that's the only exercise she approved for me. It sucks because I basically feel like I'm not working out at all, and I've since gained 3 lb.

artemis618 I totally get it I haven't done anything since I started stims. I could now too now that I'm on nausea meds but I'm still nervous. I'm ever scared to have sex which is ridiculous. I had horrible dreams last night too. 1 more week till your NT Scan??

Yeah I would def take it easy @scaredunprepared also until the bleeding subsides. Take it easy on yourself with the wait. You will get back at it soon enough!

@mcgeeva NT scan is this Friday, so in 4 days.  Sure hope everything’s okay in there.  My acupuncturist is the one who told us to wait till 12 weeks to have sex (but she’s also opposed to transvaginal ultrasounds).  I’m just not ready to see any more spotting than the tiny little bit I have.  Plus stopping progesterone this week I expect to see a little.

@scaredunprepared I’m sufficiently traumatized that I won’t even stand to do the dishes if I’m spotting.  Hope yours stops soon.

I might actually go walk during lunch instead of napping today.  I fear my legs are getting vein-y from not moving :(

@maureenmce I'm trying to be patient but every day is harder to keep myself still and/or relaxed.

@artemis618 it's really not fun and scary, but I'm such a bad patient. I am having such a hard time following doctor's orders. I really hope I get the all clear Friday!  My doc recommended walking, and if yours didn't tell you not to, I think that would be a great idea!

artemis618 that's exciting! I can't wait to have mine but have to do at 13 weeks so few more weeks. Were you doing suppositories or the shots? @mcgeeva Yeah, I’m not sure why so early this time.  The first one I scheduled (first pregnancy - to which *TW* I didn’t make it, unfortunately) was scheduled at 13 weeks - but that might have been because that day was my birthday and I had planned to take the day off anyway.

I was doing the Endometrin suppositories - but only two a day (instead of the 4/day I had for the medicated cycle - also the Estrace made me miserable) because of the natural cycle this time - made a world of difference.  But it’ll be nice not to have to think about it anymore.  Last one (of the 3 once a day to wean) is supposed to be tonight, but I may do one more Thursday night just because I have ‘em.  RE just said to be off of it by 12 weeks (Friday).

Maybe soon on the snuggle time, this is just...not the week for us to mess with anything.

I’m hoping all of us ladies with bp issues have zero problems this time around.
