@mrsman2018 it’s like people have never seen a pregnant woman before. Why are they always so surprised that we get bigger? It’s what happens, it should come as a shock to no one. The comment I’m getting a lot of now is that I look like I’m ready to pop any day now. First off, I hope not since I’m only 26 weeks and that would be really bad if it happened any day, so thanks for adding that extra stress. Secondly, if you think there’s any popping going on in the birth process, you seriously need to go back to middle school and retake sex ed. I hate that expression.
@nackie But if there was just a magical "pop" and baby landed in your arms, labor and pain free, and stomach deflated immediately, I'd be all over that-sign me up!

@pourmeamocktail I’m not saying that wouldn’t be awesome. Just that it doesn’t happen and also saying that to someone that you know is only 6 months pregnant is cruel:(

Totally agreed. Been dealing with in multiple times per day too, and the twins questions.
Infuriating.

When a co-worker said I was starting to look pregnant I informed her that yes but I also ate two bagels for breakfast. Fortunately a couple other coworkers jumped in to say "yeah I can totally see the bagels" and "omg do you guys need to take the sexual harassment training again??? You aren't allowed to talk to pregnant women" it's a good thing HR isn't on our floor
If people started asking about twins I might just tell them actually there are 4 babies in there to see how confused they get.
@mrsman2018@nackie I get those comments all the time: asking if it's twins, if I'm just about due (why don't you just ask me my due date??), and saying that I'm big. Ummm thanks? My sister told me that maybe they mean it as a compliment. I'm supposed to be big and it means that baby is healthy and growing. If I was small then it would mean that baby wasn't growing well. I'm trying to keep that in mind and not throat punch the next person who does it.

@starla I have a friend that tried to tell me that when she said I was getting really big, she meant it in a good way. I very calmly explained that there were no situations I could think of in which telling a woman that is going to be taken as a compliment.
@pourmeamocktail "I'm so tired of defending it" - perfect comment ever. Today, someone asked me when I'm due, so I said "tomorrow." Then I grabbed my belly and said, "oooh, wait, maybe today!" and then I walked away. Others who say, "Oh my god, your pregnant!" or "look at your belly!" I say, "What? I'm pregnant? Huh." I've been able to come up with some really good ones lately and ignore people trying to figure out how big I am. I'll tell a stranger I am having triplets. I don't care. It's fun :-)
So I am not huge, being a ftm and all, but I’m very obviously pregnant. I’m still in Cincinnati and yesterday, I went with my friend to visit her family member in the hospital. I was just there to say a quick hello before my Mom picked me up. I had a suitcase with me and so did my friend because we had been staying in an Airbnb with friends. I also had festive bags with gifts from my surprise baby shower the day before. I guess we didn’t really think about how we would look walking into the hospital like this, but we got many many many comments: “Oh wow! Are you here to have your baby?” “Congratulations and good luck!!!”. And someone asked me if I needed directions to labor and delivery. You guys, we were cracking up. It happened over and over again. We didn’t do this on purpose! I hope everyone is that helpful and friendly when the time really comes. Although, I probably won’t want all those comments and stares!
