35 weeks! A pineapple

New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms
Pregnancy insomnia has reared its ugly head. I am just getting to the point where I'm uncomfortable and therefore can't sleep. Which is fitting since I'm uncomfortable when I'm awake too.

Appointments/US this week
I have my monthly appointment this afternoon as well as a growth scan/position check for baby girl. I feel like it's the "moment of truth" u/s. If she is still appropriately on the growth curve, as well as head down and in the correct position (she was breech at my last appointment), my dr is going to give me the green light to try for a VBAC. If she is still breech or she has fallen off the growth curve, I am honestly not sure what happens. I am assuming a c section will be scheduled, and if she is measuring really small, it may be in the next few weeks.

Random Questions
Anyone checked out what's going on at Babies R Us lately? There are still a few things I'd like to purchase but I'm wondering if it's worth the 20 minute drive for me to get to one.

I can't believe I am in the final weeks of being pregnant for the last time in my life! I have such mixed emotions about this!!

Well her nursery is still half guest room/half nursery. I figure she won't use it for the first couple months anyway so I can work on it while I'm on maternity leave. lol. I did finally pick a good carrier for her and I can't wait until she is here so I can try it out!

@stlmegs I also want to sleep again! I feel like my dinners have been small enough lately, but they apparently haven't been. Also, my butt and upper thighs have felt a little sore, like I've been working out (I have not been). Not sure if that's a symptom, but it's been happening.

Appointments/US this week
I had my first NST yesterday. It seemed to go well once they were able to find her. I think the person was new. Tomorrow I have an ultrasound.

@stlmegs How did it go this afternoon?

I'm so over work. Nothing in particular happened, but I don't wanna anymore.

I'm basically just filling in the registries and researching things she'll need, even though I'm not having a shower. We've been wanting to create a will, so I should probably get on that soon. Plus, we met with financial advisors recently and need to send them stuff. Still need to find a pediatrician and day care. So, a lot of logistical stuff.

@supersara2 we are in the process of creating a will also. It's so morbid, but also so necessary and I know it will make me feel better in the long run.

My ultrasound went VERY well! She has grown a lot (went from 38% at 28 weeks to 50% at 34 weeks). She was estimated to be 5 lbs 5 oz so she should be pretty good size at birth! She also flipped so she is head down and I got the green light for the VBAC that I so desperately want. Hopefully it happens!

@stlmegs That is excellent news!! So happy to hear.

I just found out that I'll be induced 7/6 because of my diabetes (apparently they induce at 39 weeks for anyone with diabetes). Would have been nice to know this from the beginning. I lost a whole week! Oh well; at least I have a month to get everything in order.

@supersara2 ah that's so close!! I agree it would have been nice to know that. At least you still have a few weeks to plan!
