    Cycle/Month? 2/2

    WTO/TWW?  TWW, AF due Friday

Ages of other child(ren)? 1.5 yrs

Any thoughts about this cycle?  I've been bitching about timing this entire cycle, and we ended up with the timing I thought we would get, and I'm not optimistic. I'm tempted to test on Wednesday just to see, but I'm afraid of getting that big blank BFN.

Any questions? For those with bigger little ones, how did you teach them to use utensils? We still haven't really given it a good try yet.

Rant/Rave/Brag: My kid amazes me with how smart she is every day. She loves music and dancing and learning new words, she repeats everything. I need to start watching my mouth a bit more!

GTKY: Do you have any hobbies? What is a hobby or skill you have that you want to teach your kid(s) someday? I did learn to surf growing up, but we don't live anywhere near there, and I'm not into wetsuit surfing (we don't live near surf spots anyway), so I feel like my daughter will only get to surf on family vacations. I knit and sew a tiny bit, and I suppose I'll teach my daughter what I know of those things, but I feel like I don't know enough to help her be skillful at those things. She does seem to love music and DH can play drums, tuba, and he dabbles in guitar so that's a start if she wants to play an instrument! I'm going to enroll her in hula classes (we have a group in our city) when she turns 3. I can't wait!

  • @meggyme I don't know anything about potty training and it scares me. Did daycare send home any tips/tricks?

@prpl11butterfly bee keeping is a super interesting hobby! I don't know anyone who does that! So cute that your son loves "humble" and honey bees! I do live in the area that was on the national news a couple years ago where a man was keeping Africanized killer bees, and decided to try to get rid of them, made them angry and they started attacking animals and people. They actually killed like 3 dogs! This person clearly did not know what he was doing!

    Cycle/Month? Who knows....

    WTO/TWW?  I am benched

Ages of other child(ren)? DD is 7 DS is 5

Any thoughts about this cycle?  I am just happy my cycles seem to be regulating

    Any questions? None

Rant/Rave/Brag: so, I sort of decided to self bench myself, we have been struggling to find a house in our school zone and have been staying with family, (which is honestly going great, but I am ridiculously stressed and feel unsettled by this) plus, both the kids have been having a lot of issues lately.  But on top of that, I am having some health issues that need to be addressed before getting back to trying.  I am hoping to start once DS is settled at his new school.

Anyway, both kids have ASD and severe anxiety, which causes emotional/ behavioral issues.  DD is finally doing really well latley.  DS has been the one with the most issues lately, most of which our new.  We had to see a new asthma doctor last week, and she pointed out that singulair is the biggest medication culprit for behavioral issues and pretty much his old doctor was a moron for putting him on it since he can't take other medications like benedryl, Zyrtec, etc... So FX things get better for him.

GTKY: Do you have any hobbies? What is a hobby or skill you have that you want to teach your kid(s) someday?  Honestly, not really, I enjoy gardening and the kids help, but I feel like I spdonhave hobbies since I had them , and have been trying to get a new once lately.

@prpl11butterfly, bee keeping sounds like an interesting hobby.  My friend was trying to talk me into a class a few years ago, but unfortunately DS and DH are allergic to bees.

  • @general_organa I started giving DD a baby fork or spoon pretty early with no expectation that she’d use it. She still gives it up for her hands sometimes (she’ll be 2 in a couple weeks) but she can generally wield it pretty well. Daycare didn’t really give us much guidance with potty training since they were surprised we were having trouble at all because she was doing so well there.

  • @meggyme thanks! maybe we'll just try including a utensil on her tray. At this age if it goes on the floor, it's done, right?

Any thoughts about this cycle? Not yet

    Any questions? Nah

Rant/Rave/Brag: We are at Braum’s right now and my husband is saying that we don’t have time for ice cream, only dinner.  Traitor.

GTKY: Do you have any hobbies? What is a hobby or skill you have that you want to teach your kid(s) someday?  I like to craft but I don’t see my two boys catching on to that lol.  I would love it if they were readers like me.

  • @meggyme we just have got peeing complete down and now are working on poo. She’s knows when she needs to poo and tells me but gets flistered still.

    Things that worked for pee:
-prize in the bathroom that she gets right after peeing (we did all fruit organic suckers even though I usually try to avoid too much sugar)
-tons and tons of praise-we came up with a potty dance and she got rounds of high fives
-pink fong potty song on YouTube- let her watch it while sitting on potty in the beginning
-going butt naked- there will be a few accidents but you can scoop her up and put her on the potty right when it’s happnig and it really helps it click. Plus without the diaper as a crutch it forced her to use the toilet.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Feeling discouraged about timing but for some odd reason feeling lucky

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave/Brag: Summer break has been amazing so far. I love getting to soak up every second of DD.

GTKY: Do you have any hobbies? What is a hobby or skill you have that you want to teach your kid(s) someday?  Gardening is a huge hoppy that I’ve alredy started try to teach her but I’m afraid the garden will be less successful this year due to all her “help”. I love camping, fishing, crafting, adult coloring books, tinkering with photography. I pretty much like trying anything. I’m the jack of all trades, master of none. One thing I have no skills in is music. I’d love for DD to play an instrument well. I played oboe 4 years way back but have since forgotten it all.

  • @general_organa We also offered forks and spoons early. Yougurt is great for learning spoon because it just globs and stays on pretty well. Cooked carrots are great for forks. And about the floor, it’s all depends on how you are with germs. I’m a the “more germs the better” type so I usually just grab it off the floor and put it back on her plate unless we are at a restaurant or my classroom lol.
  • @JLaVO888 thank you! We have two dogs and don’t mop our floors as often as we should, so I usually throw things in the dishwasher if they end up on the floor!

  • @JLaVO888 We've been doing most of that. She's starting to get it I think, she just has yet to tell me she needs to go or go sit on the toilet on her own, butt naked or not. I think I just need to continue, trying to be as consistent as I can. I did have a slight break through over the weekend after we were outside playing and she held it for 3 hours with no accidents (besides a couple little dribbles) and then when I gave up and moved inside to the bathroom and she peed it all into the potty. Now I leave her potty in one place and need to interupt her play/tv to put her there regularly. Backing off and giving her a little privacy has worked wonders too.

  • @meggyme potty training was harder for my first and I feel like my second potty trained herself haha
@prpl11butterfly my friend is a beekeeper and I think it's so cool!  I would love to foster bees on our property because we have 5 acres and they would be amazing for my garden.
@general_organa we just kept making the utensils available at every meal and encouraged and modeled the behavior.  It's a messy skill to learn haha

    Ages of other child(ren)? 5 and 3

Any thoughts about this cycle? I go back and forth so much.  I don't know if I'm having fantom symptoms or what but I feel the way I did with both my other pregnancies in the TWW.  I don't want to psych myself up though.

    Any questions? no

Rant/Rave/Brag: Let me brag on myself real quick..DH got a stomach bug which totally sucks.  He's amazing and does 50/50 work with me.  Well he's sick so it's all me and let me just say I'm pretty proud of myself!  I'm rocking this while he gets better haha.  I feel accomplished getting up, getting both kids to day care on time and getting to work on time by myself!

GTKY: Do you have any hobbies? What is a hobby or skill you have that you want to teach your kid(s) someday?  DH and I both LOVE hiking and being active.  We want to take our kids on adventures as much as possible.  There are a ton of great trails and state park in NY.  I also love to cook and I want to teach my kids.

Any thoughts about this cycle? I hate it.  My cycle still isn't regulated from everything that happened and its very frustrating.

    Any questions? None

Rant/Rave/Brag: I was being so good at trying to give up energy drinks and now I am having them almost every day again.  I know they are terrible for me and the sugar is horrible for my PCOS but I can't seem to give them up!

GTKY: Do you have any hobbies? What is a hobby or skill you have that you want to teach your kid(s) someday? Not really....which is kinda sad that I don't have any!

Ages of other child(ren)? A four year old daughter

Any thoughts about this cycle? I'm not expecting too much. This is my first cycle since having my Implanon removed.

Any questions? I'd appreciate links to trusted Wondfos anyone has purchased from Amazon. I'm using Clearblue right now but of course those are pricey and I don't want to waste them.

Rant/Rave/Brag: Rant: I'm strongly considering cutting my hair again, but I'm on the fence. I cut it to a pixie about 3 years ago and now it's to my mid-back but I've been wearing it in a bun pretty much every day because I'm too lazy to style it.

GTKY: Do you have any hobbies? What is a hobby or skill you have that you want to teach your kid(s) someday? I love yoga and meditation. I've been practicing since right before I got pregnant with my first child and she's taken an interest to it. I hope to stick with it and get her more involved in my practice this summer.

Ages of other child(ren)? 17 months

Any thoughts about this cycle?  Hope.  My SHG last week confirmed I'd be ovulating from my good side this cycle and we have a RE appt lined up for next week.  The appt will fall on 8dpo so likely too early to know if this cycle was a success, but happy to be able to line up a plan for treatment for next cycle.

Any questions?  Not at the moment.

Rant/Rave/Brag:  Rave: I'm feeling better about everything now that we have an answer (blocked tube).  I had to process a lot of emotions about it at first but now I'm just looking forward to having a plan.

GTKY: Do you have any hobbies? What is a hobby or skill you have that you want to teach your kid(s) someday?  This is super random and for some reason this came to my head first, but I am freakishly good at foosball and I'd love for my son to be good as well so we can have fun playing against each other.

  • @sparklingdiamond, good luck with giving up the energy drinks, you got this!
  • @holly321 Thanks!  I need all the encouragement I can get!

    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 1 (12 months)

Any thoughts about this cycle? Nope.

Any questions? How did/do you guys deal with your LO biting when BF'ing? He has just started doing it and it freakin' hurts. I try not to give him a reaction (since he is usually smiling/laughing right after he does it), but it is really difficult. If he keeps on doing it, I think we might be done BF'ing sooner rather than later because I am starting to not enjoy our special time together.

Rant/Rave/Brag:  Rant - so done with being limited to places without Zika for our vacations.  We have been wanting to go to Machu Picchu/Thailand/Belize for what feels like forever.  I know this time frame of baby-making is so short in the grand scheme of life, but man it is annoying.

GTKY: Do you have any hobbies? What is a hobby or skill you have that you want to teach your kid(s) someday? I would love for DS to enjoy biking (mtn and road), hiking, and running. We enjoy spending time outdoors so it would be great if he enjoyed it also.  Mostly so he's not complaining the entire time (when he eventually starts saying more than a handful of words).

  • @lilly91613 I never tolerated biting. I'd break her latch and sternly tell her "No biting." If she did it again, I'd break latch and say "no biting" and put her down on the floor. Sometimes she'd cry, but honestly that's part of learning not to bite. I'd tell her we could try again later. They really do understand more than you think!

  • @lilly91613 DS only bit occasionally but when he did, I'd gently pinch his nose closed and force him to unlatch. Maybe the few times I did it were enough to make him stop *shrugs*
  • @general_organa I've been trying to reach DS to use utensils for the last couple months. All he does with them is throw them around or use them like a light saber.

@moon427 I'm trying to copy and paste the link to Amazon for you but I can't figure it out through the Amazon app. If you search "Wondfos" you'll see an item with a black label "Amazon's Choice" next to it. That's the one I order from.

@lilly91613 When DS would bite I would unlatch him and sternly tell him "no biting." Then I would let him nurse again until he did it again. He never does it intentionally though, only when he's distracted or overly tired. But yes I second what the other ladies said about unlatching and putting LO down if they continue to bite.

    Cycle/Month? 2/2

    WTO/TWW? WTO

Ages of other child(ren)? 1 year

Any thoughts about this cycle? Meh.

Any questions? I'm going to start using Wondfos tomorrow and I was reading online that you shouldn't test right away when you wake up in the morning and that your pee shouldn't be too diluted from drinking a lot of water otherwise the test may be inaccurate. Did anyone have problems with either of these instances?

Rant/Rave/Brag: I've not been feeling too hot the past couple days. Idk if it was something I ate or something I picked up, but my stomach has been unsettled and turning. Ick.

GTKY: Do you have any hobbies? What is a hobby or skill you have that you want to teach your kid(s) someday?

I'd love it if my kids learned to sew. Sewing is practical and creative! I also love to read and I hope my kids read as much as I did as a kid. Really, if my kids find some sort of creative outlet (like drawing, playing an instrument, skateboarding, leather working, etc.) that they enjoy doing would be great.

  • @general_organa, @prpl11butterfly, @luckywife10 Thank you! I will try that this evening. I think he does it more in the evening because he is tired.

Also, @luckywife10 I love sewing!! I taught myself how to do it (yay youtube!) and I have made some pretty adorable stuff for my niece and nephew (penguin costume, Dr./laboratory coats, and a dinosaur cape to name a few!).  I haven't had much free time in the last year to do any projects, but once my kid(s) are older I definitely want to get back into it. My Mom sewed all our Halloween costumes when I was little and I want to be able to do that for my kid(s) also!

  • @prpl11butterfly Beekeeping, that is so cool. NMS because I’m terrified of all things that sting, don’t worry I won’t kill a bee I know they are endangered :(. But so cool.
@general_organa In my experience utensils just take a lot of practice, time and patience. DS 3.5 is just not using them all the time instead of hands.
@holly321 you’ve been on my mind lately, sorry you’re benched again(even if self decided)

Rant/Rave/Brag: It's so fun and interesting now to listen to DS with friends. There is actual real conversation with dialog back and forth now. It's so fun listening to how they explain things to eachother.

GTKY: Do you have any hobbies? What is a hobby or skill you have that you want to teach your kid(s) someday? I like to cook and back and I used to play and instrument. I hope to pass that on.
