I have an an appointment tomorrow morning to see if I can start FET - with NO NEWS yet on if my embryos are even normal. I’m hopeful but also realistic that it isn’t guaranteed. If I have to stim again for the 5TH Time in 2018 I’m going to lose my shit. Haha.
@mayflower513 no more pee sticks for me, those things give me more anxiety than just waiting for the damn beta! It’s tomorrow so we shall see soon enough

@sunny_side NO!! I'm so so sorry You've been through so many cycles, I can't even imagine how crushed you must feel right now. It's not fair. This whole process can be SUCH a long journey with so many ups and downs along the way, so it can be easy to lose sight of what we are even fighting for. Just keep reminding yourself that you WILL get there one day, and all of this will be worth it. Thinking of you
I had my blood draw this morning, waiting waiting waiting for beta results. Not feeling optimistic, rainy craptastic weather not helping. Not getting any work done, wish I just stayed home today..
@sunny_side I'm sorry That is not the call you wanted. You do have one in the bank right? Will they be changing your protocol? Did they give you any insight into why they think this cycle didn't work out? My first cycle I only had 4 good blasts (they threw in a weak 5th one in) and one pgs normal. This cycle with a new protocol, I got more than double the results from the first cycle so it CAN happen.
@sunny_side no no no I’m so sorry. I have a lot of the same questions as @suziev3. I hope they can figure something out to get you better results for your next cycle should you continue on.
Negative Boo. Instructed to stop all meds and give a call with day 1. Doesn't sound like they are making me take a cycle off for FET so at least there's that? I don't know why the cycle would fail, it was a perfect embryo and I have no known IF issues. But I guess sometimes these things just happen
I’m so sorry @leilee101 do you have an appt to talk about it? At my transfer they set up an appt for if it didn’t work but I was to cancel if it did. Maybe they’ll have some ideas of why it might not have worked and something different to try next time? I’m glad you don’t have to wait. I’ll be following you!

@mayflower513 yes, I scheduled a follow up appointment for next Weds 6/13. They told me to stop the meds tonight and give a call with CD1 to start birth control. So next week should get a better idea of timeline & hopefully some answers. The nurse was a little rude to me when I was asking specific timeline questions ("how long do I need to be on birth control? Will we be able to do the FET by the end of this month?") .. she just kept telling me that's what the appointment with the Dr. is for. I might pop over to the June or July FET board to ask other people's experiences with time frames.
@leilee101 I’m so sorry. A perfect PGS embryo is like gold so I’m so sad it didn’t take. Very pleased that they won’t make you wait for this next cycle because that is the most painful part of this whole thing. I have heard of some ladies doing an ERA / endometrial biopsy to test receptivity so that may be a question for the Dr? Im thinking of you.
Thank you so much. @suziev3 I do have one frozen but I’m too scared to use it until I have backup. They did change my meds. What meds worked for you the second time? I love hearing that you had better results with a med change!
They just started me on a new stim cycle today so at least the timing worked out... 40 Lupron, 225 Gonal and 225 menopur so they are going to Load me up. Luckily I’m starting with 11 follicles which is the most I’ve ever had PRIOR to starting meds.
I want sucesses for all of us so badly.
I hope someone has some uplifting news to share today!!
@sunny_side This time my doctor put me on long lupron protocol. I have PCOS and possibly egg quality issues so what worked for me is not right for everyone, obviously. I also did a lot of things to help with egg quality. Supplements, diet, acupuncture, HGH, lower stress levels etc. Who knows if any of theses things made any difference. 11 follicles starting out is great. I do have some good news Saline Sono shows no probs with uterus so I can move on to FET. Phew. @leilee101 Sorry about the negative. Did you do pgs on your blasts? I can't recall. I saw you are over at July FET board and that's my FET month too so I will see you over there. FX we both get BFP in July. Jumping off what Sunny_side said...ERA was helpful for me. Turns out I needed 24hrs more progesterone. Don't know if you have done that test it, would delay your next FET though.
@suziev3 yes I will see you over there! I truly hope July is it for both of us too. No, I did not do PGS testing - it was not recommended for us because I'm only 30 and we have good sperm quality (using a donor). God forbid this next FET fails and I have to cycle again, I will definitely pursue it at that time. Can I ask why the dr recommended ERA for you? I have been talking to my Dr. about thinking my progesterone is off since I first met him last year, he has never seemed to think it's an issue. I've always had short luteal phases and spot before AF, which I have read is an indicator of this. They never took my progesterone levels at 21 days and also never tested it when I was taking the PIO.
@sunny_side holy hormones batman! That's awesome that you are starting with so many follies and the meds are so high, I think the combo of those two will yield awesome results for you this time around
@leilee101 My doctor offered me the ERA and said it was up to me. It's a test that has been up for debate as to it's effectiveness according to him. This was during my first cycle and I only had one good pgs blast so I didn't want to take a chance. It seemed like every hormonal medication I have ever taken took longer than average to work on me so I wasn't surprised that the test came back with 24 hrs more time needed. *TW I did get my first ever BFP, but ended in MC*
Morning ladies! I took a couple day staycation with my husband after we got the bad news so I could Reset. I feel okay about starting the June IVF but I had a less than stellar ultrasound today. Even with the high meds- they are only measuring like 4 or 5. It only takes one will be my mantra this month .
@suziev3 and @leilee101 I’m so sorry and are sending you both big hugs for your July FETs! Maybe if all goes well with this stim cycle I can join you both on The July FET board. Good luck to you both and I’ll pop in to the July FET Board in the meantime to check in on you. Xo
Hi everyone, I have sooo much to catch up on and before I go back to read everyone's updates I wanted to give my update:
I received a call from my genetics counselor just now and out of the 3 embroys, 1 is healthy and doesn't have my genetic syndrome. That one passed the PGS and PGD test. The other two embroys had my syndrome and one of the those two also have chromosome issues. We're planning on FET transfer in late August/early September. I was able to find out the gender of the 1 health embryo due to PGS, it's a boy! Which is what I knew in my gut.
I know the docs would've liked to see 2 or 3 healthy embryos but all it takes is one.
Me: 28 DH:30 Together since: May 2005 Married: June 2015 TTC #1 with IVF & PDG/S (reduce the chance of our child being born with Nager Syndrome)
@retro_belle24 I’m sure everyone would have been happy with more but yay for 1 normal embryo without the condition!! Good luck when it comes time for the FET
