  • How far along today? How big is baby?
34 weeks, and butternut squash, at our growth appointment baby was 5lbs last week.

    New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms
I am still feeling tired, I had spotting this week, that the doc said is most likely from intercourse. Def very scary. But baby is doing just fine.

    Appointments/US this week
Our weekly check up is tomorrow.

    Random Questions
Anyone else have check up weekly from here on out? How often do you see your doctors?

    Rants/Raves
Rants- baby had a stretching party last night so I could not sleep, I also think he is lower now because I have to pee every two seconds.

Raves- same is that I feel baby moving so much, I can already tell I’m going to miss this when I’m not pregnant.

GTNY- What is your favorite baby song, or song you sing to your babies, or for ftm songs you plan to sing to your babes!
I selfishly started this thread to see your answers, my app says baby can hear my singing and will recognize songs if we start singing to him now. I’m thinking you are my sunshine, I love that baby of mine song from dumbo but I don’t know all the words. Maybe it’s time I learn it lol

Is giagantic a symptom? Feels like a symptom. Plus super sore ribs and feet are juuuuuuuuust starting to swell if I do too much or I’m not drinking enough.

Had one today, all looks good and she’s head down! Hopefully she stays that way! @catftm2018 weekly appts for me now too, I vaguely remember them starting more like 36/37 weeks last time, but no complaints here- home stretch!

    Rants/Raves
I wish people would stop asking me if I’m all ready for the baby- I’ll never feel ready for the baby! Stop reminding me!

GTNY- What is your favorite baby song, or song you sing to your babies, or for ftm songs you plan to sing to your babes!
LO hears me sing the ABC’s, wheels on the bus, row row your boat, and twinkle twinkle to her brother at least twice a day. You are my sunshine and hush little baby are my favorites for lil babes.

  • How far along today? How big is baby? 32 weeks! Deerstalker hat, Giant CHupa Chups, hardhat. Sidenote: who remembers Chupa CHups lollipops? Because yum.

New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms: I tweaked something or brought something out of alignment with either by walking too long or doing the inversions wrong. Either way my left side sucks right now, from hip down. Its getting harder to self talk my way out of funks, but at least when I am in the funk I can still recognize, "this is the funk. life is not bad. you will not think these things tomorrow." Other than that, just the basic lightning crotch, hip flexor pain, and heartburn.

Appointments/US this week: Nope, not til 36 weeks (June 29)

    Random Questions:

Rants/Raves: babe is breech/transverse. I said out loud to someone that I would take a c-section because it would allow me to know within an hour that baby was ok, but now I'm really worried. I'm trying to get a job and planning on busting out and doing something part time pretty soon after birth, so a c-section would probably make this hard. Rave: Looks like the marginal cord insertion isn't affecting growth-I've got a 4.5lb baby, 80th percentile! I'm not stoked about shoving another huge baby out my hoohaa but I've done it before so I'm not that worried, lol.

GTNY- What is your favorite baby song, or song you sing to your babies, or for ftm songs you plan to sing to your babes!
@acunamatada it did not occur to me until you said it that this LO hears me sing all sorts of ridiculous songs to DS, including a song I made up at DS's request called "Dada had a red shirt on" which is basically a story of the various trials DH's shirts go through. For DS, we sang "Down by the bay" to calm him down when he was fussy, or disney songs-he loved "let it go" which sucked for anyone who had to be within ear shot while I pretended to be Idina Menzel.
  • How far along today? How big is baby?
35 weeks- last growth scan they were both 80something %ile in size

    New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms
feet swelling if I keep them down for too long. Mostly just feeling beyond gigantic and having awful lower back pain if I try to stand for more than a minute or two at a time

    Appointments/US this week
had an OB appointment and MFM (NST, BPP) earlier this week. All looking good, babies were super reactive and doing all their practice breathing and whatnot. I’ve been seeing both doctors weekly at this point so next Thursday I’ll see both again and the MFM will include a growth scan so we’ll see how big the girls are now! It’s actually crazy though realizing that after my appointment this coming week I’ll only be making one more!

35 weeks, pineapple. She's been measuring smaller though. I think my last u/s put her at 37th percentile.

    New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms
My back has been bothering me. DH is out of town, so I was was washing a couple dishes last night. Barely made it because my lower back hurt so much.

    Appointments/US this week
I start my weekly appointments on Tuesday. OB said that since she will be doing the GSB check, she goes ahead and does a cervical check while she's down there. So I start those next week. Supposed to have one last u/s next week too due to small growth.

I am not musical whatsoever, but DH is. So he sings to the kids. He either makes up songs (per the request of the 3 yo) or sings whatever comes to his mind.

    35 +1 pineapple/BMO

    New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms
Just more leg cramps, I think I've got something pinched because I keep getting a full leg cramp/spasm on my left leg. It was so bad on Monday that my entire foot and ankle were roll/turned in and actually felt broken the next day. Doc isn't sure why other than I possibly have something being massively pinched, trying to get into a chiropractor to get something adjusted to see if that helps.

H continues to be my hero, I seriously couldn't do this without the support he's providing me.

GTNY- What is your favorite baby song, or song you sing to your babies, or for ftm songs you plan to sing to your babes!
Um, I don't know baby songs! So LO is going to have to put up with  me singing to rock and country because that's all I know! I do have Metallica and AC/DC lullaby version albums though! Between that and my green hair, I'm totally in the running for least appropriate mom ever! LOL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1BA6TZt3ME

  • @acunamatada I def think gigantic is a symptom and put me down for that too lol

@SmashJam OMG I used to LOVE chupa chupa lollipops!

@devilcat139 congrats on 35 weeks!!!! So happy for you and your girls!

@noideawhatshesdoing  I love the non-conventional songs as much as she love the others!!!

So I went in for my appointment doc clarified that I am considered high risk due to obesity. (Apparently this whole time I’ve been high risk) but no one told me. I’ve only gained a few lbs this whole time literally 5 lbs, and they’ve had wanted me to gain between 10/15. So I thought I was good.
Anyway, now I have to go for weekly biophysical profile BPP which includes an ultrasound and a NST. I have my first one tomorrow. I’m annoyed that they didn’t just come out and tell me what complications they are afraid of. TBH I think they think I will go early, since my baby is measuring bigger- but he’s 64 percentile, so it’s not that big. I’m just going to be grateful we get to see LO one often.

  • @noideawhatshesdoing when I was preggo with DS DH sang "Inagadadavida" to him, and when he came out, it was all Beatles...mostly Yellow Submarine. I would love to hear AC/DC in lullaby form, lol!
  • @SmashJam chupa chupa lollipops = yum!

@catftm2018 Sorry about the high risk thing, especially being told that this late in the game. But at least you get to see LO more! We're in the dark about the size of our LO because we haven't had a scan since Feb 14. I know it's a "good thing", but I can't help but be jealous about those of you that know a little more about your babies! All I know about mine is that I have a mini Chuck Norris in there and I'm really freaking tired of being beat up from the inside out, it hurts!
  • @catftm2018 we get weekly NSTs and BPPs because having twins makes me high risk. I’m not sure they’re looking for anything in particular, just seems like something standard MFMs do towards the end (I could be wrong but this has been my understanding). The BPP ultrasounds are pretty quick as long as baby cooperates-they just look at some of the organs, measure fluid, look at blood flow, and make sure baby is practice breathing and moving around. NST is also quick as long as baby cooperates. Mine usually take forever because one of the babies decides to move around during it or be really elusive to get on on the monitor in the first place but if they magically cooperate it only takes 15/20 mins. Definitely nice to check on them every week though and see how big they are!
  • @noideawhatshesdoing I honestly thought all of us had this frequent monitoring. It tells what I know! I completely understand how you feel though, not mowing how big baby is! And lmao about chuck Norris! My baby is kicking up a storm too lol

@devilcat139 thank you so much for letting me know. That makes me feel a lot better. I think I was just taken a back by it, since I didn’t even know anything about this test. (FX that baby is in his active mood tomorrow)

This week I think? Forgot which day. It's just a basic appt. No cervical check until 3 weeks from now

the job posting I am applying for is up, and I am kind of freaking out. Still word-smithing my resume, and last night I was listing all of the group interviews I will have to go through and I am so nervous already! This is dumb, stressing, since I know everyone (for 10+ years) and they know me and like me, and the ppl ultimately making the hiring decision have already indicated their preference to hire me but HR makes them go through the entire process. I haven't interviewed in about 10 years! For my past two job changes I just got the job straight up. I am nervous someone else will apply and interview better and take the job tho.

GTNY- What is your favorite baby song, or song you sing to your babies, or for ftm songs you plan to sing to your babes!
i sing whatever I know the words to, mostly alternative rock and pop songs. For a while it was Lorde, Death Cab for Cutie, and Ingrid Michaelson. Also sing Beatles, and a very soft and lovely rendition of "This is the song that never ends..." Lol
