I'm 28 weeks pregnant and really craving a small glass of red wine. I know this is controversial and I have researched it to death! Anyone had a bit of wine with past pregnancies and all was fine?!
This is definitely a question for your doctor, and also your personal preference. I think that everyone has experience with people who have friends and family who have had a few drinks during pregnancy and have continued on with normal pregnancies and have given birth to children without complications, and those who had complications and trouble with their kids later. It really is personal preference and what you are comfortable with.
My SIL who is an NP in an OB office gave me this book that looks analytically at the research on many topics like this. It is called, "Expecting Better" by Emily Oster.
I’m personally not comfortable with it, but there is a non-alcoholic wine called Fre that I’ve enjoyed occasionally. It technically has a small amount of alcohol, but a negligible amount.
