Introducing Myself

Hey everyone,

I'm making this post to talk a little bit about my story so far. DH and I married on Oct 2013 and we've been TTC ever since. A year after our wedding we knew something was wrong so we contacted a fertility clinic. On Oct 2017 we found out DH couldn't have kids so I left it up to him the decision about donor or adoption. I He was not very fond of the idea of an unknown donor. However, the most amazing miracle happened: his best friend volunteered to donate! My husband liked the idea a lot better and we were very moved by his gesture.

But because we chose a known donor, all of 2017 was about setting it up with a lawyer, going through more tests, and waiting for the sperms to come out of quarantine. They came out in February. My egg retrieval was mid March.

We opted for PGS testing, we had 7 normal and 1 low mosaic. My first FET was May 16th. I know I'm not supposed to POAS but I gave in and did so on 8dp, 9dp, and 12dp5dt all BFN. My beta is tomorrow, but I'm at peace with the results and looking forward to trying again.
*END TW*

I guess that's about it. Hope we can support each other through this journey

@alexandrabarros Welcome and glad you and YH be at peace with a donor. Unfortunately even PGS tested embryos aren't 100%. Will you guys be moving right into another FET if your beta is negative? If so you should join in on the June or July FET groups they are great for support and information! Again welcome and I hope your stay here is short.
  • @ndz2018 Thank you!    **TW** The beta was negative, doctor said we fell on the wrong side of statistics and wants to try the same protocol again. We'll jumping into another FET **END TW**

I already joined the July group! Thank you for the suggestion
  • So sorry the beta was negative.
