  • How far along are you? 11 weeks, babe is the size of a lime or a donut hole. Yum.

Excited about your next appointment? Ehh things are kind of boring until the anatomy scan. I mean, I'm excited to hear the heartbeat again.

Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? Dear Diary, some ladies were talking about the Snoo, which I had never heard of, and now my sucker self thinks she needs it. I won't buy it though, because the price tag is ridiculous for something the baby will grow out of so quickly.

GTKY: Have you thought about banking or donating cord bloodI know about it, but I won't bank the blood. Donating is an interesting idea though.

  • How far along are you?
9 weeks! Baby is the size of 9 weeks. *looks it up again* cherry, grape, or grape tomato according to the internets.
    Excited about your next appointment?
Not really. I think it’s just an appointment with my CNM. I don’t even know what we’ll be doing. It’s in 4 weeks.
    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Is anyone else kind of bored/over being pregnant? I feel bad for asking because many people in our group tried very hard to get here, but it’s just not what I was expecting. Will I feel “more pregnant” later? Right now life feels the same except I can’t do or eat things I used to.
GTKY: Have you thought about banking or donating cord blood?
I haven’t thought about that. Gives me something new to look up! Thanks

  • @PensiveCrayon I haven't Googled the Snoo yet, afraid that I'll "need" one also :grimace:

@tumbleweed-1 I think the pregnancies will be awesome when we're in the second tri, hopefully with energy + not feeling sick + looking pregnant instead of just fluffy. I sincerely hope we all feel amazing and are smooth sailing by then. FX!

    How far along are you?
    11 weeks! Lime lime lime.

    Excited about your next appointment?
Yes, even though it's weeks away. It'll be my last appt with my OB before we move. I first met him as an Unexplained IF lady, and now he's going to do a parting ultrasound before we move :bawling:

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Dear Diary, I think I nailed down how I want to announce to the family. I just need a custom onesie and some gender-neutral baby shoes. I'll send everybody postcards via Postagram App (I have been a loyal user for years) and I can't wait to put this one together.

GTKY: Have you thought about banking or donating cord blood?
I'm definitely going to donate! I'm a big fan of donating things that I don't want or need and it amazes me that life-saving stem cells are often chunked in the medical waste. Since we're all barred from donating blood, I'm looking forward to donating super special blood in December. (Also, I totally asked this question now to encourage others to think about it early to hopefully increase the chance of inspiring more potential donors.)

  • @echo-charlietango donating it sounds cool. If I do, it’ll be the first blood I’ve ever donated. That sounds kind of special. I haven’t given blood because I get really anxious with needles. I was also conveniently anemic for years, but I’m not anymore. So no excuse for me post pregnant except my needle anxiety.
  • @tumbleweed-1 pregnancy definitely gets better (or feels "more real") once you start showing and/or feeling baby move. I'm anxiously awaiting those first flutters!

    How far along are you?

11 weeks! Size of a lime!

    Excited about your next appointment?
Yea, I guess. My next appt is an NT scan with my high risk OB on 6/5. So we do get to see baby again! Irrationally worried something will be wrong though.

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
I have zero motivation to work today. And it's a slow day which is almost worse because I can't think of any "busy work" to do.

Also, I think I said this last week (maybe in the STM thread?), but we're going to attempt potty training DS this weekend. I'm hoping he gets it because I really don't want 2 in diapers.

GTKY: Have you thought about banking or donating cord blood?
Haven't thought about it. Didn't do it with DS, probably won't with this one honestly.

@tumbleweed-1 Definitely a little over it here, but the only way to keep it interesting at this stage are symptoms and complications, neither of which I'm super interested in or excited about. It'll definitely feel more real once we start showing and feeling baby, although whether that's actually better is I think pretty subjective.

How far along are you? 12 weeks. Baby's a little over 2 inches long, she has earlobes, and her eyeballs are in the right place.

Excited about your next appointment?  Not really. I think I have to have a pap smear the next one (6 month follow up; I had a LEEP back in November/December). I had an ultrasound Monday, so that was kinda neat, but other than the pap at this point it's all just touching base with my provider until the anatomy scan.

Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? The first 2 of post-A16 babies for our BMB's Facebook group arrived in the past few weeks; and so far, we're 2 for 2 on babies delivered in cars. Only 28 women in the group, 10 viable pregnancies including the two that just gave birth.. what are the chances?! I love these ladies, they've been my rock over the past 3 years, and they make me a better mom than I otherwise would be, but if that particular curse that's been laid on our sisterhood could go ahead and skip me, that'd be super.

GTKY: Have you thought about banking or donating cord blood? We won't do private cord blood banking, and our hospital doesn't have a partnership with any public cord banks. If I'm on top of things, I might see about other avenues for donation, but I'm kind of a disaster most days even when I'm NOT pregnant, so we'll see.
  • @AGK2015 Birthing in a car sounds ...like an experience I can skip too :grimace:

  • @tumbleweed-1I just told DH last night that I'm over being pregnant already.  It's mostly because the last few days I have felt awful and have had zero energy.  I'm ready to feel more like myself and be able to contribute to my household.  Right now I'm watching it completely deteriorate while DH is trying his best to keep up by himself.

    @AGK2015
Oh my goodness - those are crazy odds!  I cannot imagine giving birth in a car.

    How far along are you?
10 weeks - baby is the size of a lego man

Excited about your next appointment?  Not too much.  I'm excited to hear the HB, but am nervous about the  NIPNT.  I did not do with with my first two, but decided since I am AMA I want to get it done this time so that I can prepare if needed.

Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? Like I said before I have felt so horrible the last few days - nauseous, no energy at all, I thought I'd be getting closer to better right now, not worse!

GTKY: Have you thought about banking or donating cord blood? I have not really thought about either and probably will not do either.  I never thought about donating though - I might look into that.

    I guess I go here now :)

    How far along are you?
    11 weeks with two limes

Excited about your next appointment? Two more weeks. Appt and ultrasound

Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? Eh. Not really. I googled the Snoo and holy moly! I definitely thought of Futurama though when I first saw the word.

GTKY: Have you thought about banking or donating cord bloodNot really. I looked it up last time I was PG but nahhh

  • How far along are you?
10 weeks, baby is the size of a Lego person

    Excited about your next appointment?
My next appointment is scheduled June 11. It's a double appointment but I have no idea for the reasoning. Still waiting for the specialist to call me to schedule the NT test which should be happening before then, so at least I will get to see babes again.
    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Every time I think my symptoms are gone, my nausea returns in the evening. Right at dinner time. Which is fine because it reassures me that baby is still in there because otherwise it's easy to forget at this stage.
We we're supposed to be having a BBQ on Sunday and announcing the baby to family, but our whole hot water and heating system for the house went last night so now we might have to cancel due to the expense.... And we have no hot water. Definitely dreading my ice cold shower in the morning.

GTKY: Have you thought about banking or donating cord blood?
We didn't with my son, and it's pretty pricey so probably not.

    @PensiveCrayon
holy moly I just looked up that Snoo... That's crazy!

@tumbleweed-1 with my first I didn't feel pregnant until I was showing and feeling him move. Which I had an anterior placenta so it took a little longer to start to feel things. I hope the placenta decided to attach somewhere different this time so I can feel this baby move sooner and actually feel preggers!

@cecilb93 good luck with the potty training! Our son was a little later with the potty training (he had just turned 3) and it went much better than I was hoping for. Still waiting for him to catch on to wiping himself... That will be a REAL plus
  • @echo-charlietango Good luck with the move! That sounds stressful having to find a new OB after you've already found one your comfortable with

  • @AGK2015 I hope the streak breaks before its your turn! Delivering in a car is no joke
  • @snugglyduckling25 I'm looking forward to the NT testing so I can see the baby again. I don't think they do another ultrasound otherwise until 20 weeks and that just seems so far away! Plus when I did it with my first, the tech told me he was a boy at 13 weeks so that was exciting.

@sheshae welcome! I just moved to this due date last week

*sorry for all the separate posts, the app was not having my post as one which was aggravating lol
  • @AGK2015 Wait those are the first two women in your group giving birth since the A16 babes arrived? If so I’m impressed. I was D16 and our first baby is on the cusp of arriving...and we all thought it took FOREVER for someone to get KU because we had no accidents.

But anyway, yeah. Car birth! This is something I’m terrified of. I’m hoping to labor at home for as long as possible but at the same time I definitely do not want to be pushing in the car, especially because I know second babies come faster! I’m sure it won’t even end up being an issue though. Fx you avoid it too ;)

@PensiveCrayon yup, first babies to actually arrive. We're a pretty small group, which I'm sure makes a difference, but also *tw* there was a run of terrible luck with the first few pregnancies; in actuality the first new baby should have arrived in December 2017. *end tw*

Luckily, of the remaining 8 of us who are knocked up, I'm 7th in line to deliver; surely someone will have broken our streak by then  :D
  • So, I was a little vague about being “9 weeks” yesterday when I posted here. The clinic I’m going to is counting me an extra day ahead on my LMP calculation for some reason. I’m not sure if their math is different because they’re basing it on the 28 day cycle average (my average is 29 days), or if I’m just doing the math wrong. I didn’t ask. Maybe I’ll convince them to change it at my next appointment.

According to them, I’m 9.2 today, according to me I’m 9.1. It’s not a huge deal, except the official due date they have on my medical file now is 12/25 and I ugh at the thought of a Christmas baby. I like my calculation of 12/26 due date. I know babies aren’t really born on their EDDs, but I’d like to live in denial and stay on the Wednesday ticker day if that’s cool.
