I also make badass cookies and pancakes (special ingredient).

Oh, and I've been told it's wordw that I can read a book while running on the treadmill. I do it every time I run and started about 15 years ago, so it's not weird to me.

  • @ouiser_boudreaux I can't post from mobile, I'll see if I can post it on my laptop when I get a chance.
  • @sweetyjenj I read while on the elliptical. But reading while running on the treadmill, that's pretty impressive.

I'm pretty good with accents. I certainly couldn't do it professionally or anything, but I really enjoy trying to imitate how others sound. My favorite accent is a Russian accent. I also like Irish and mid-western. I've been trying to hone a New York accent, but it's challenging.
  • I can move my right ear by itself. I also play the piano and sing.

I do and teach singing (musical theatre) and piano. And I act.  I crochet (working on blanket 2 of 4 for wedding gifts this summer). I decorate cakes. Not professionally, but I did one friends wedding a year ago and am doing another’s this August. And I dabbled in aerial arts (trapeze, and hoop mostly) until a shoulder injury, then meeting husband, getting dog, having baby, etc
...  I’d love to get in shape and get back after this baby.  Also jigsaw puzzles.

Also, I can stand in ballet second position (toes pointing out to opposite walls, the ones your shoulders are pointing to) with a few inches of space between my heels and have my knees touch still. I have a few hyper mobile joints (but apparently never quite enough for contortionism).
  • @kns1988 I climb too! I love it though I started late in life and so I’m not super great at it. Do you plan on continuing while pregnant/getting a maternity harness?

Other than climbing...I’m pretty boring and talentless. Alas.

@blueowl08 , awesome! Before my first kid, I saw a woman who was probably 7 months pregnant top roping with a pregnancy harness, and she looked like SUCH a badass. I had full intentions of being like that, but then I was too nervous. I plan to at least climb in my first trimester this time because no harm no foul there. What about you?

  • @kns1988 this is my first so I have no prior climbing while pregnant experience. I’m currently still bouldering although I’m pretty careful not to take any falls from high up. I’ll switch to toproping at some point soon — maybe when I start showing or I get bored because I’m only climbing easier boulders? I’ve read some articles about it (Beth Rodden has an interesting one with a survey of several hundred ladies who climbed while pregnant) to get a sense of how it might go. My plan is to keep climbing in some form until it just doesn’t feel comfortable. It seems like everyone is different so I’m trying not to commit myself to any particular time frame so I don’t feel bad if I end up stopping fairly early. I think one of the gyms near me has a maternity harmess for rent so I may try it out when the time comes.
