1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 12 weeks (+1 day today). Baby is 2.1 inches long
2. How are you feeling?
Good! No fatigue. Got my first round ligament pain yesterday, that's about it.
3. Any appointments coming up?
Not for a while.
4. R/R/Q?
getting my pregnancy pillow later this week - excited to try it!
5. What's your favorite/least favorite part of what you do for a living?
i forecast/research oil markets and I think all parts of that is fun. I get to think creatively, people come to me for all kinds of questions, and my work ends up in front of some really important people at the end of the day.
i love my job, actually, and it will be a bittersweet moment to tell my boss that I will be going on mat leave in December.. maybe there will be a way for me to come back to the same job.
@ab_canada FYI I shifted over to Friday since I “gained” a day between my last RE and first OB appointments last Tuesday. Like at my last 4 weekly RE appointments (all Tuesdays) they told me I was x weeks 3 days - but OB calculated based on a day 6 transfer and when I got a copy of my RE’s records, they showed a 12/21 due date instead of 12/22, which is consistent with OB (and put baby measuring only one day ahead instead of two as of Tuesday).
Is it unusual in your organization or field to be able to come back to the same position after leave?

@artemis618 Well, feel free to bounce around the boards. I know I sometimes read the other ones anyway
My company is pretty big, and they encourage you moving around to get experience, so they usually just hire/transfer someone into the role. And the person on mat leave usually gets another role when they come back. So it usually works out very well, unless you really love your current job
Apologies for missing this. I’m not on as much on the weekends either, I will probably jump on a weekly ticker change thread as well. It can get really quiet on the boards on the weekend.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 12 weeks on Saturday! Baby is the size of a plum!
2. How are you feeling?
Not bad. Fatigue is still the biggest thing, but it's getting better. I think it was bad this weekend b/c we had a very busy weekend!
3. Any appointments coming up?
Nothing until June.
4. R/R/Q?
5. What's your favorite/least favorite part of what you do for a living?
I am a college math professor. I work mostly with students who have struggled with math their whole lives. My favorite part is definitely working with my students and seeing them actually have fun in math! I like getting to know who they are as people and making connections with them! My least favorite part is definitely when students don't come to class - I tend to take it very personally and it makes me sad

1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 10 weeks (+2-3 days). I’m also not sure if I should be in Friday group. My due date is December 15th but my ticker changes on Fridays. It may be because I have it set to when I ovulated...
2. How are you feeling?
Tired, some nausea. But both are improving this week. Very emotional and I get angry easily lately.
3. Any appointments coming up?
Not until June 5. I had bloodwork done nearly a week ago, I hope I can get results soon without having to wait until my next appointment.
4. R/R/Q?
Lots of rants lately...I had a bad fight with my 19 y.o. step daughter. She was being rude and inconsiderate. I normally control my emotion but this time I couldn’t. We haven’t talked it out yet (also she doesn’t know yet that we’re expecting).
My aunt died a few days ago, and basically it’s just my mom and I left and she is not doing well. I’m traveling with her for the funeral, but I’m stressed about the flight even though my midwife said it is ok. Mainly I’m worried about increased blood clot risk.
5. What's your favorite/least favorite part of what you do for a living?
I help run a wildlife hospital, where we rehabilitate and release injured or orphaned wildlife. My favorite part is successful releases after particularly challenging rehabilitation and also reuniting orphans with parents. At the moment my least favorite thing is when people find a wild animal and do all the wrong things and we have to fix it.
Tomorrow! I have a sonogram then seeing my midwife.
4. R/R/Q?
This whole not being able to poop then getting a stomach ache thing sucks. Then sometimes I'll eat because I'm hungry, get a stomach ache and have diarrhea. Why is there no in between? I wasn't constipated this bad with DS and I was on iron pills!!
5. What's your favorite/least favorite part of what you do for a living?
I am an auditor and I love my job. My last favorite thing is people who don't cooperate or refuse to contact me. My favorite part of my job is the flexibility and that I can work from home some days.

5. What's your favorite/least favorite part of what you do for a living?
Fave part is bringing stories to the world from underserved storytellers and audiences. I also love being able to hire women and people of color for positions general held by white men.
I am currently hating the high stressed nature of deadlines with limited budget. ARGH!!!!
