@BusinessWife I’m happy to hear everything is still going so well!!

We’re doing a bunch more testing (RPL bloodwork, which came back normal; DNA frag test for DH, waiting on results) and then holding for a couple cycles because I just landed a new job that covers IVF! So I need to settle in and get the lay of the land, insurance-wise. This has reenergized me tremendously.

@tinjp78 eep! Omg, so exciting! What do they give you the hcg shot for? I wonder if that has anything to do with skipping betas...? Forgive me, we never got to do iuis, so maybe it's a standard thing here, too, I just don't know about. :# Either way, I'm excited for you, and will be wishing and hoping and praying that AF stays away!!! ❤

@BusinessWife They really didn't explain why I had to have that HCG shot post IUI. But on a paper I came across, it said it adds to the success rate. Idk for sure.

Thank you! @BusinessWife I definitely thought of you when I found out about the coverage because I remembered you talking about that, too. Part of me secretly wonders if the last cycle didn’t work out specifically to push me into this job (I started interviewing at the end of the cycle). Of course it would have been nice to have not spent so much money on IVF that month, but I’ll take it.

@tinjp78 My RE does a an extra HCG shot during FETs, which he says is to boost what your body will hopefully be producing naturally! It’s a bit different than your IUI cycle (since he does a natural FET, so no hormones before transfer) but I suspect your RE has the same reason.

@Bababatty That's amazing!! I had an old coworker tell me the job I was previously at (she's still there) is now covering for IVF. I felt like I should've just stayed. Then again, I was actually miserable at that job so there could've been no way I would've advanced in that position.

@helloworld9 I'm on my last (3/3) IUI now and waiting for AF to arrive today then we go back to IVF.

I'm excited to hear that we're going to be welcoming your baby soon!!! You are the very first BFP that I knew in the board and I'm glad that I could witness your journey, it is such an inspiration , along with other friends who have also moved to the other side.

I am just here taking my lunch and looking forward to starting my vacation after today! I was planning to travel, and then prepare for a concert, but now I will skip the travel/ 1st concert part, in order to stay home and get all sorts of things in order... let me tell you, what a relief that is going to be!

Any updates from our crew here...??
Perhaps from the April ivf thread...?? << Hint, hint... wink, wink... >> for those of us who might not be lurking so hard...

@BusinessWife A vacation sounds lovely. Whatever it is that made you put off the travel/concert agenda, I'm sure it's all appreciated by your lil one. But I hope you're still going to have good rest and relaxation even when you're at home. Take good care of yourself and thanks for lurking here still

AFM, I was still put on a 4th IUI! The plan must've slipped dr's mind. It's a holiday here in Japan so the earliest we could go back to the clinic is Monday. Bc of this, DH is now a trained shots giver. He was/is very excited abt this, I trust him. And I registered a positive on my OPK this morning but my bbt didn't confirm it, nevertheless we BD tonight and prob over the weekend too.

AFM We’re looking at doing another FET at the end of May. This has the potential to conflict with a scheduled trip we have but I’d stay home for the FET. So we’ll see.

@Bababatty we are looking at a possible IUI early next week, that is if I haven't ovulated yet. There is also the fact that my follies aren't maturing well this month and if Dr confirms on Monday that they are still there but with insufficient size, TI was suggested.

Boo for the conflict in your sched but Yay that your FET is coming up soon, I'll be lurking on you on the May FET thread.

@Bababatty ugh, it really sucks how ivf has a way of taking over and dictating our lives... :( but hopefully it will all be worth it and your FET will go perfectly! Is the trip something you could maybe reschedule for a few weeks or months down the line?

We're at the clinic now and if dr sees that I haven't O'd yet and follies are in good size, we might have iui#4 today. Although I doubt it because I'm on CD 25 now and OPK this morning was light already. We'll just have to wait and see.

How are you and baby doing? I'm praying that both of you are comfortable and happy. I can't wait for baby delivery reports on this thread.

I'm definitely getting huge as I will start my 9 month this Wednesday. It's so surreal I know I'm in the home stretch yet I don't believe it. Still terrified and nervous all
the time but feeling the baby move always helps reassure me! My kid is always having a dance party in there

. It's been tough to really get a good US of my babe, below is one where it looks like the baby is smiling

can't wait to smother this kid with kisses!!!

I can't believe this thread is still going! I took a bump break after my disasterous IVF cycle in August and just came back in April, but only checked out the April IVF group.

Update me! I know a few of you had successful cycles. Give me the highlights! (I missed about 30 pages of posts. I can't read 'em all!)

*edited to add my update: I am almost at the end of my TWW for IVF #2 and I'm peeing on everything because I'm getting faint positives. (So that's what they look like!) I had a pretty decent cycle: 20 eggs retrieved, 16 fertilized, transferred 2 on on day 3, and froze 3 on day 5.

it was so itchy I got a quick Pic and had to rip it off!
I suffered with all day sickness through 1/2 the pregnancy and it's been returning in these last few weeks. As long as babe is ok but that does make me want to hold this lil one that much sooner for sure!!

How are the rest of u ladies doing?

<div class="Spoiler">Tomorrow marks viability day! 24 weeks. We did two* retrievals back to back in September, then I had a polypectomy in October. Our first FET wasn't successful, but we got lucky the second time! Grateful too, for our five more frosties waiting on deck... We will still eventually plan to transfer all by eSET, so we'll just have to wait and see what the cards have in store for us. But for the time being we are over the moon!</div>
Please update back here and let us know how testing goes! I am hoping so, so hard for the absolute best!!!

@BusinessWife Yes! One on the way and 5 on deck! That's amazing! I'm so happy for you! Over halfway there!

My betas were a total disaster. First one came back low ("like, really really low" in the words of the nurse at the clinic. Helpful.) at 19.9. Two days later, 2.8. So that sucked. I have a sonohystogram next week and then moving forward with our first FET.

So, my news is less good. But I'm so happy to see the good news in this thread! Makes me feel like it might actually happen someday! So keep being my fertility role models, okay?

@megmac2010 so sorry to see ur update! It's always such s roller coaster ride. I kno I'm in the home stretch and I still pray every night for this miracle I'm carrying!! Remember I did 5 ivf cycles to first bank embryos after my MC. Hoping success is just around the corner!!

@megmac2010 I'm so sorry... :'( we didn't do a fresh transfer, but I remember how utterly devastating when our first FET didn't go so well. (((Hugs))) fx your FET will be the ticket!

@Hopeful_mom well, trying to eat dinner, and ***TMI*** I just threw up in my mouth??? And apparently carpal tunnel has kicked in, so that's cool. Ughh... pregnancy is weird, y'all. But mostly feeling good. ;)

Hello! I'm still waiting for AF to come and when she does, I'll get some shots at the clinic that would let my ovaries relax in prep for my IVF#2. I don't know the details of the meds yet. On our last appt with our dr, she expressed her doubt that I'd be able to get more eggs due to my low AMH 0.56 and FSH (i forgot). Anyway, they gave us a discount on the cost if we got less eggs.

Thanks @Hopeful_mom I'm now recalibrating my mind to this next one. For the 5months of IUI, all I was thinking was 'come on let this work, I don't ever want to do IVF again' but all 3 IUI's failed so I'd have to open my heart to this cruel process. Probably what made me cringe away from IVF is the cost, the shock and the heartbreak.... but I'll take this and be strong. I'll always remember that this process works and it might work for me too. I'm so glad I can let all these thoughts out in here. Just 2 friends at church know this about me and when I updated them yesterday, I'm sure they care for me and they also wanted me to have my baby but I just don't think they really understand what I'm going through. Seeing your pictures and knowing you guys are soon to hold your miracles are such encouragements to me.

@tinjp78 this process is brutal!! And it cost me emotionally, physically and financially!!
I did 7 IUIs before moving on to IVF and I wish I would've done it sooner as I was just getting older but the cost scared me too, it's a fortune and I was OOP. I was lucky to conceive with my 3rd ivf (first retrieval but 3rd round of meds) but then had a horrific MC, that put me through the ringer which then led to another 5 ivfs and here I am with my miracle. It's not easy and even though I've been trough so much I know I'm one of the lucky ones still. We're here cheering u on and i hope the process gets easier for u!

So great to see all the updates! Sorry I have been MIA for the last few months- we just did another round of ivf and had 5 embryos make it to freeze! Now just waiting on testing.

Had 5 IUIs - first one was a CP. First round of IVF had 14 eggs, 10 mature, 4 fertilize, 2 transferred day 3, other 2 arrested right before freeze. BFP but lost baby at 9 weeks for a missing chromosome.

@BusinessWife they are sending the biopsies on Tuesday so it will probably take about 2 weeks. Feeling okay post retrieval- was super bloated for a few days but feeling back to my self this weekend!

I know I've been MIA for a while, big update **TW**

I had my little miracle on 5/5 via unplanned c section. The first couple of weeks were a blur (still is!) and right now I'm already getting used to having 1-2 hours of sleep at a time. My mom has been a huge help so far and she has far more patience with his cries than me! But even then I still hold him close until my arms give out. Recovery after c section has been rough and the scar still looks really scary. Anyway, it was still all worth it in the end. Hoping to see more good news on this thread when the time comes!!

I received my update and of the 5 one was considered normal and one had no result and is being retested. The other 3 came back abnormal for a variety of reasons.

@BusinessWife we are going to do an ERA in July- I start meds on the 16th. Then the plan is to transfer at the end of August! Still waiting on results from other embryo. The normal one and the one being retested were both our AA day 5 embryos so hoping that is positive.
