This week I forgot about 1k’s Worth of billable hours. Luckily I remembered before the invoice day! H is not going to let me live that one down any time soon.
I also parked my car, gathered all my things and started heading to the office building for my meeting. What did I forget? To turn my car off and take the keys out I did realize my mistake before I made it inside though!
Well let's see, I left the car in drive instead of park and couldn't figure out why it was rolling...
I could not figure out how to back out of my driveway the other day and ended up like 3 feet into the lawn...
I forgot to close the sliding door on the van after putting my son in his carseat. I only backed out like 6 inches before I noticed but now he asks me to close his door every single time. "Mama? You close my door?"
Basically I probably shouldn't drive while pregnant it seems.
I left my car keys attached to the shopping cart when I put it away at Walmart...
I couldn't figure out why the car was still rolling-but I hadn't put it in gear or used parking brake (stick shift)...
Couldn't figure out why son was ignoring me-maybe because I was calling the dog's name?
Can't follow instructions on the ATM that I use every two weeks to put my paycheck in.

I forgot the pin to my atm card this week and had to go home and have DH deposit my check since I couldn’t get into our account i forget the word for common things multiple times a day
@stothi our driveway has an arch and is really hard to back out of. Last pregnancy I scratched my side view mirror so a week later I tried to make sure that didn’t happen again so I overcorrected and put a huge dent in the other side. 2 years later and I still haven’t fixed it.
@yosemite2018 ours isn't hard, lol! That's what makes it so bad. Where I park I just have to swing out a little bit to go around my husband's car. I'm talking like 6 inchs- 1 foot...(Quickly starts thinking... Wait... She's from Canada, right? Is she? Dang you baby brain, where is she from!? Do they use metric or imperial in Canada!? How do I finish my story!?) 15 centimeters - .3 meters... It's barely anything. The one day I just couldn't figure it out though.
Can husbands have pregnancy brain? He totally did this morning and so did I! My H drives me to the bus every morning. This morning we were ready to go and he couldn’t find his glasses. We live in a 2 bedroom apartment. It’s not that big. We searched everywhere for close to 30 minutes. I never lose things and can always find other people’s lost things, but these glasses were nowhere! But, of course, they were hanging on his shirt collar. Basically, he was already wearing them. I blame myself as well because I looked everywhere except on my husband!
DH and I have the same car, basically. Same color, make, model. One day I came home to grab lunch in the middle of the day and since he was at work, I parked in his spot rather than mine (it’s a tiny bit closer). Went upstairs, got my lunch, came back down. Muscle memory I guess brought me to the passenger side of the car, unlocked it, and sat down in the passenger seat. Finally realized it was my car and he wasn’t coming lol.

I got a cheeseburger for lunch, when to Walgreens quick, then back to the office to eat... It's an hour later and I just remembered to eat my now cold burger
I am a teacher, it is May, and pregnancy brain is killing me right now. At the moment I keep setting papers down and forgetting where I set them ALL THE TIME.

Haha I’m from California, not Canada, but it just took me way too long to realize that we abbreviate both as CA. I will chalk that one up to baby brain.
This morning I couldn’t remember which way was hot and which one was cold on the shower (it’s not labeled) and when I wanted to make it cooler I turned it the wrong way. Ouch!
This guy in my office, who is super friendly and has two little baby girls, just said hello to me in the hall and asked how I was feeling. Then he asked how much longer I had, and I said 3 months. Which isn’t even correct. It’s 3.5. So then he was like “oh, just started the third trimester” and I was like, I will in a couple weeks, wait, yeah, I lost track. And now I sound like I don’t know how far along I am and that I lost track of when my baby is due lol. Really, I’m in the middle of 48 things, so don’t stop me and ask me questions when I’m running down the hallway haha. Just gonna hide in my office for the rest of the day...
I kept switching the words benefit and member when on the phone with insurance companies, so I call asking to find out about a benefits member. WTF does that even mean?
Also, people commonly like to ask me questions while I'm already on the phone and it throws me so far off I end up messing up what I'm saying to one of the two.

Yes! I am a big multi tasker, but suddenly I have to completely focus on exactly what I am working on. I have even had to start putting my work IM on do not disturb and closing my outlook so I don’t see emails come up.
Did you guys see this article? https://mobile.nytimes.com/2018/05/11/well/family/reframing-mommy-brain.html?utm_source=babylist&utm_campaign=newsletter&utm_medium=email
My pregnancy brain things for today: 1) Forgetting to eat! How is this even possible? I just wasn’t hungry and had lots of meeting and didn’t eat lunch. And now I’m on the bus on the way home and I’m feeling very murderous. 2) I scheduled a meeting with two of my direct reports this morning for 4pm. I included in the meeting invite a list of things we needed to talk about. At 4pm we started the meeting and I hadn’t printed out the agenda and couldn’t at all remember what we were meeting about! Luckily, they are not pregnant and had eaten lunch and were able to remind me. I think we covered everything...
@businesswife I find that article fascinating! I've been chalking up baby brain to sleeping worse than usual and having one more thing to mentally juggle.
@madnolia209 I find myself forgetting to eat way more than I ever thought I would. Luckily, I have an old habit of keeping snacks in my purse for when I do remember, haha.
Baby brain moment of the week: I briefly argued with H that the saying is in fact "Hindsight is 50/50"...um, no it's not SkilledSailor. But props to my H for finding that one amusing and not annoying.
I went to my bathroom 4 times today to put on deodorant but kept forgetting why I went back there. I peed twice even though i didn’t need to because I assumed that’s why I went back there. It took me 5 or 10 minutes to even realize I didn’t do what I intended to do and then I still had to think about what was it I really needed to do anyway.
Starting to think i should carry carry sticky notes with me so I remember things.
I woke up at 5:30 am and had to pee, but got so focused on how frustrated I was that I was uncomfortable (only partially due to having to pee) that I tried to go back to sleep without peeing...because I forgot I had to...what?

I was so proud of myself yesterday. I made dinner from mostly scratch and then hand washed all the dishes that don't fit well in the dishwasher and cleaned the counters. There was next to no dinner mess at all by the time I was done. I even packed my kiddo's lunch while I was at it so it was ready to go this morning. I did all the things!!!! Except for taking the side dishes out of the microwave and putting them away... Oops. My husband found them this morning when he made Buddy's breakfast. I don't know he rationale behind it, but he put them in the fridge. Um. No. Those have been out all night! No one should eat them at this point! I feel like we both kinda have baby brain on this one, lol.
Omg! He put the leftovers in the fridge cause he plans on eating them!!! Eeeeeewwww!!! They were out all night. It was creamed corn and baked beans, so it's not like it was sushi or chicken or something but it's still really gross to me.

My H would do something like this! I have forgotten to put something away before and he will put it in the fridge saying he will eat it. Usually after 2 days I throw it away and if he asks I say, you didn’t eat it so I threw it away. I’m with you, that is gross!!
@BusinessWife that article is so interesting and so spot on with how my sieve brain is functioning at the moment. My main issue at the minute is that my short term memory is normally poor and now it's virtually non existent.
Today the administrator was at lunch and I was up front when a potential client came in. I offered him a drink and when he said water I asked if he wanted ice. I couldn’t remember what he said by the time I got to the kitchen so I brought him both. I walked up and blamed it on the bump, then our partner drank the other one so it wouldn’t go to waste.
I fully lost my debit card last weekend. I’ve never done that before. I bought my mom a gift certificate for her favorite nail salon and then have no idea what I did with the debit after that, I didn’t realize it was gone for a whole day. It may have slipped into a weird spot in my van but I gave up looking and ordered a new one. I’ve had a debit for more than 20 years without a loss so I’m completely blaming this one on the bump!

Put the cereal box in the refrigerator once. Luckily, I remembered to put the milk in there too and not the cupboard!
That was a fairly expensive baby brain moment.
