Please note: This check-in is for those Jan moms who have participated recently on the TTGP board, i.e. leading up to this pregnancy. If you did not participate on TTGP, members may ask you who you are and/or wonder if you're lost. Please don't take offense. There will literally be a million check-ins once the board gets going - no one is expected to participate in them all. ❤

Hey there TTGPers! How are things going? Let's do a casual check in, but if questions/structure help you, then here are the usual to use as guidelines:
How far along are you?
How are you feeling?
Any recent/upcoming appointments?
GTKY: In honor of mother's day, describe one of your favorite childhood memories. Bonus points if it involves your mom.

Good. A little more gassy, DH is not impressed lol.

My 1st appt. Is on the 25th. I have a very busy weekend/ next week then it's the week of the appt. So time should *hopefully* fly by until then.

I wasn't for mother's day, when my parents were divorced my mom wanted to start a "tradition" of taking each sibling out alone for a special day. I was probably 7 or so and I remember we went to see the movie Matilda and got ice cream afterwards. It never actually became a thing, as that was the only time we did that lol. But I had a great time.
My first appointment was yesterday - lotsa talking and physical exam, no ultrasound. Pelvic measurements had me right on track with where I think I am, so I'm happy about that. Not happy about having to wait another full month for my appointment and to get my first ultrasound (wanna see the bean!) but I'm happy that she isn't worried about anything and asking that I be in sooner.
One of my favorite childhood memories was learning to craft (knit/sew) with my grandmother. I made her a pink flowered wreath with a teddy bear in it for Mother's day when I was eight. She proudly displayed it, even when she went into the nursing home and couldn't bring all her things, that wreath made the cut.

How are you feeling? Pretty normal still. My spotting seems to have stopped for the time being, which is a huge relief even if the RE said not to worry about it.
Any recent/upcoming appointments? Next appt is a viability scan on 5/23.

On summer Tuesday afternoons my mom and I would walk over to the Bookmobile that stopped near my school. I loved books (still do!), so I always had a blast picking out new things to read...and then when we came home Mom would make microwave popcorn and we’d both start our new books together!

One night when I was in high school my mom woke me and my sister up and told us to grab a pillow and a blanket and get in the car. We didn't think to ask questions, she seemed excited so we went with it. She drove out on this country road in the middle of nowhere and pulled over. It was because there was a meteor shower that night that she wanted us to see. The three of us sat on the roof of my mom's car and watched stars shoot across the sky. It's one of my most favorite memories.
How are you feeling? Just thirsty.
Any recent/upcoming appointments? I will be calling tomorrow. Still in shock.

Oh wow. My favorite childhood memories right now are all of them since my Mom has been gone for 5 years. But, to be honest, we would play Yahtzee for hours on end. I miss that and her. More than anything.

My grandparents used to live on the lake, and they had a huge game room downstairs with a pool table, ping pong table, karaoke machine, hot tub, video games and board game table. We would also fish, and water tubing and skiing. We used to have our family vacations and holidays there and we had so much fun doing all the fun stuff. I miss those times so much! Now my grandparents live in a small house in a 50+ community. So we still have get togethers, but they aren't as extravagant as it was on the lake.
