MIL actually stopped by for an impromptu visit, and brought a card, and a few thoughtful gifts from Target. She told me more than once, she'd left the tags on in case I wanted to exchange lol but there are two cute baby milestone chalkboard signs, as well as a maternity romper for around the house summer months, and a blouse for work. We visited a while and talked about recovering from labour, amongst other things, so it was nice to hear how real and supportive she was about pp being a time to rest and recoup, and let other people cook and do the wash etc. for you. We chatted about things on the registry, bottles, pack n plays, etc. and next time, well plan to go through some of the CD stash, so she can get a feel for what those are going to be like. She didn't cloth diaper, but she is so supportive of it and loves the idea! So that was all really amazing.
DH didn't quite make it home in time before she had to head out, so I ended up with a double bouquet! :D Plus, he brought me some fresh basil and rosemary to start my little kitchen herb garden. :) He knows me so well.
I posted a concert pic on my regular insta (not my anonymous IF one), and while not coming fully out of the closet about our journey, I did include a caption that some things in life are worth fighting for, and this little one tops the list. I didn't cross-post and go FB public, but it was a pretty special next-step reveal, and it has been nice to see the congrats roll in from friends, and family who knew already tell me how great I look, too! Lol. Best Mother's Day ever, and first of many more to come...
<img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/6q/r6lg0hzc255u.gif" alt=""> Happy Mother's Day, everyone!!! And Happy First Mother's Day to many of us on the Sept board! ❤❤❤
Happy Mother's Day all! Just came downstairs to see flowers and a card (sweet) and the largest bag of sour patch kids ever (YES!!) on the kitchen table. That is the best thing my pregnant belly could see/get all day (well, in addition to the buffet brunch we're headed to later...).
@BusinessWife That's so sweet of your MIL! Sounds like a great day already.

My dad treated me, H, DS and my mom to dinner last night, it was really yummy!
He's also been working on making H and I wood salt and pepper mills (for like a really long time lol) and finally finished them and gave them to me for a gift.
This morning I came out to the kitchen and found cards from my boys and a digital picture frame loaded with pictures from the past few years and a bag of dove dark chocolates. It's been a great start to my day!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas and mamas-to-be!
DH has been swamped with work and keeps apologizing profusely for not getting me a card. Cue him “deciding” that we need cinnamon rolls for breakfast and he has to “go get them right now.” I imagine he will be back in short order with the card and a bouquet of flowers.
Woke up DS to lots of smiles and currently cuddling and watching Daniel Tiger. You know, my favorite show of all time!
Later on we are planning to go to TRU and get a closeout deal on an outside swingset for DS. So excited for him!
My morning has been lovely so far, my DD let me sleep in (but baby woke me up kicking early ) and has said “Happy Mother’s Day!” about 10 times so far. MH made pancakes and eggs for breakfast and got me the diaper bag I wanted (pic in spoiler).
We just returned last night from a beach vacation so we will be spending the day doing laundry, cleaning and grocery shopping, but hoping to relax as well! My parents were on vacation with us, but my Mom may stop by for a bit and my MIL lives out of town so I’m glad to enjoy the day with just my little family.
Wishing all of you a wonderful day!

To my knowledge, DH has nothing planned. This will be our first child and she isn't here yet, so I'm not upset at all. I'll probably just take it easy today. We will call my MIL to wish her a Happy Mother's Day and SIL to wish her a Happy Birthday afterwhile.
Yesterday H had me pick out some Lush bath bombs so my hip healing baths can be more relaxing. Also a wonderful lunch. So today we’re eating leftovers, had Google Fiber installed, went to the pool, and are enjoying Ali Wong’s new special.
Spent last weekend with my parents. Since I am a FTM don’t think H counts this as Mother’s Day for me, which I am okay with. He went to have lunch with his mom and I am laying on the couch binge watching tv. If I feel up to it in a little bit I’m going to head down to the pier and relax by the lake with a book.
@SkilledSailor Lush's "Sympathy for the Skin" lotion has helped greatly with pain I have. I normally rub it in after a long soak in the tub. I also need to check out her new special.
I had a nice long talk with my Mom and plan to talk with my Grandma in a little bit. I’m going to see them in a few weeks so I am giving them presents then - in person. I’m ordering little onesies that say “I love my Grandma” and “I love my Great-Grandma”. I’m also getting one for my MIL that says “I love my Abuelita” (that’s what the baby will call her). I know they will just end up giving them back to the baby, but I thought it would be fun for them to have until September. I don’t need any fuss over me today. I don’t feel like a mother yet. And, my birthday is on Father’s Day this year! So I don’t plan on making a fuss for him either. We will in the future.
Happy Mother’s Day to us all though! This is so exciting to be making a person!
Dh got up w dd and I took my time showering and actually fixing my hair and using makeup while they did her therapy routine and started breakfast. All I had asked for was a day off from mom-duties since he did a ton for my birthday 2 weeks ago, but they had a gift ready for me at the table, dh outdid himself and picked put a pearl necklace with tiny silver separater beads (no idea the technical term) it totally fits my taste!! ...Next I need some occasions to wear it...
After a lazy breakfast we went to the wildlife park and then picnicked at the local state park, seasons passes to both were part of my bday gift but this was the first chance to use them. Now dd and I are sufficiently worn out and resting while dh finally gets a chance to mow our poor overgrown lawn. I am quite content!

DH made waffles for breakfast, then he set up the pool pump and filter and we went to the hardware store to get some stuff and a hose to top off the pool. We had a big lunch out with his extended family and have been relaxing since. Gorgeous day outside and now we will watch a movie and go to bed early
Happy Mother's Day! Besides being in the clinic for my sore throat, DH got me a rose bush and a pretty necklace with DD's and my initials. Then we all went to the beach for ice cream and walk.
My husband did so good this weekend. It was kinda rough cause my son was sick Thursday/Friday so we weren't comfortable planning ahead. The whole weekend we just had to take one step at a time but it all worked out. Saturday I got to sleep in, then we ordered an obscene amount of brunch. I ordered two full breakfasts plus a dozen doughnuts from a different place, not because I wanted to eat that quantity of food, but because I wanted a variety of things to choose from. We did some much needed first steps of clearing out extra junk which felt really good. Then we ordered pizza for dinner. Then we took the junk to donate and spent a few minutes wandering through the thrift store where my son found a little bike that was the right size for him and lost his mind with joy. He was so cute about it that the cashier gave him a discount and kiddo paid like $3.75 for this little piece of crap bike, lol. He and my husband are now going to spend 10 times that on paint and decals to fancy it up, lol. My son's squeaky little voice talking about, "my bike! My bike," with just pure unadulterated joy, has got to be one of the best things I've ever heard. Today I got to sleep in again. My husband woke our kid up, changed his diaper real quick and then took him to go run errands, in his pajamas, so they wouldn't wake me up. They took my dog to get groomed and went and picked out a new houseplant for me, amongst other things. I woke up to a little pile of gifts- a couple of wedge/prop pillows, some bath stuff, a funny "momisms" coloring book, a canvas art print picture of my son, and a great card from my son and one from my husband. The one from my son said on the front, "thanks for wiping my bum and stuff," lol. We ate leftover doughnuts and then went over to visit my folks and take my mom some flowers. We picked up fast food, came home, ate, napped, got dressed up(ish) and went out for dinner. Dinner was kinda a shitshow and I ended up having a hormonal freak out on my husband and then one on the restaurant manager who then comped dinner cause they f-ed up and that's not a good thing to do to a pregnant mama on Mother's Day. I promise I'm normally super easy going and polite and wonderful at restaurants but it was just too much this time. When we got home hubby changed my son's horrible poopy diaper ( I didn't cook one single meal this entire weekend. It was all take out. So relaxing, but so bad for one's gastrointestinal health) so I didn't have to deal with that literal shitshow, lol. Then I got many hugs and kisses and was sent to go relax while he finished getting buddy to bed. It was a good weekend. I felt very loved and appreciated.
Oh, and I checked my email and my husband also donated to a baby charity in my name and it totally made me cry!!! So many hormonal tears over that gift! Good tears though. I keep rechecking that email and thinking about the moms who will be having a good day somewhere at some point cause someone cared enough to donate to help their babies. Oh, and crying again from writing that!
TL:DR; I had a great mother's day weekend. My husband is awesome.
My husband blew up and framed our anatomy scan ultrasound for my mother's day gift. It was so sweet, and I can't wait to hang it on the wall in the nursery.
The day itself was spent driving home from my parents house (about 6 hours away with traffic and bathroom stops) because this weekend was sister's graduation. We made my mom breakfast and gave her gifts before we left, which was nice, too, since we're rarely all home for mother's day.
@smsaulino@SkilledSailor I had the worst insomnia and anxiety Sunday night and I made my self a bowl of beans and rice and cheese (my craving of the week) and I watched the Ali Wong special at 2am. I was dying laughing! It really helped me to relax! I also really started feeling movement on Mother's Day evening (maybe that's why I couldn't sleep!). So, that special was exactly what I needed!
