TTGP grad check in 5/10-5/16

Please note: This check-in is for those Jan moms who have participated recently on the TTGP board, i.e. leading up to this pregnancy.  If you did not participate on TTGP, members may ask you who you are and/or wonder if you're lost.  Please don't take offense.  There will literally be a million check-ins once the board gets going - no one is expected to participate in them all. ❤

Hey there TTGPers! How are things going? Let's do a casual check in, but if questions/structure help you, then here are the usual to use as guidelines:

How far along are you?

How are you feeling?

Any recent/upcoming appointments?

GTKY: In honor of mother's day,  describe one of your favorite childhood memories.  Bonus points if it involves your mom.

  • 6+1 today, and oh dear, hello, nausea. It hadn't been too bad so far, but last night even the thought of eating made me feel sick. Poor DH, we've been scrounging for dinner for a week already because neither of us feel like cooking when nothing sounds good (let alone when one of us is feeling nauseous). The last fresh home cooked meal we had were the burgers he barbecued Monday night.

My first appointment was yesterday - lotsa talking and physical exam, no ultrasound. Pelvic measurements had me right on track with where I think I am, so I'm happy about that. Not happy about having to wait another full month for my appointment and to get my first ultrasound (wanna see the bean!) but I'm happy that she isn't worried about anything and asking that I be in sooner.

One of my favorite childhood memories was learning to craft (knit/sew) with my grandmother. I made her a pink flowered wreath with a teddy bear in it for Mother's day when I was eight. She proudly displayed it, even when she went into the nursing home and couldn't bring all her things, that wreath made the cut.

  • @Augusta108 that sounds like a really nice memory.  My mom would take us to the library all the time,  I'm sure my love of books stemmed from that as well.  Also happy to hear bleeding has stopped.  I was told it's really common too but I know it's hard not to worry when it's happening.
  • How far along are you? 6 weeks today

How are you feeling? Super constant sick all day. Nausea, vomiting, light headed, dizzy, exhausted, headaches, hungry all the time.

Any recent/upcoming appointments? Ultrasound is on the 25th

My grandparents used to live on the lake, and they had a huge game room downstairs with a pool table, ping pong table, karaoke  machine,  hot tub, video games and board game table. We would also fish, and water tubing and skiing. We used to have our family vacations and holidays there and we had so much fun doing all the fun stuff. I miss those times so much! Now my grandparents live in a small house in a 50+ community. So we still have get togethers, but they aren't as extravagant as it was on the lake.
