I don’t think I have actually done any more than 15min of actual work today. I’ve dicked around on the internet, chatted with friends & had lunch with my MIL while DD was napping (I am working from home today & ILs are watching DD who is home sick).
I took on this from home temp job from my aunt in law to call companies to schedule appointments at a conference next week. Its basically a telemarketing cold calling (Which I'm not a fan of doing). Its only until Tuesday and I'm just NOT wanting to call people. I've slacked soo bad the last couple of days. With my constant nausea I can barely be vertical and I'm just not in the mood to be calling people. I wish she never asked me...or I should have just said no.
My house is a complete disaster right now. Like I'm embarrassed by it.
ugh mine too. I stupidly offered to host Mother's Day Brunch for my family thinking it would force me to clean (and babyproof for my 10 month old niece) and now I just reeeaaaaally don't want to.
I get super annoyed by moms who scream/yell in public. I was at the zoo today with my 4-year-old and 2-year-old. We were waiting for a shark-petting spot to open up at the little touch pool. A 10-year-old school kid fell in partially. His chaperone was right there and caught his feet immediately. A zoo volunteer was righ there with a towel to dry him off. The kid was not crying or distressed. A mother nearby, but in no way connected to the incident, was screaming her head off and yanking her little ones close to her. You would have thought someone was being eaten. "This is why you're not allowed near the shark pool," she kept repeating. Her poor kids were scared out of their pants. Like crying scared.
Sorry, I had to vent this story somewhere. I understand if your kid is about to run out in front of traffic- that's a good time to scream (I certainly have). But not in an emergency situation that does not have anything to do with you and is completely under control.
@linaboop I saw earlier that you live in Minnesota too...we frequent the zoo a lot and can totally picture this all going down. My favorite is when the older kids try to grab the fish out of the water.
