  • @mag1cbeli3ver It is my last check-in!! Yay!!

How far along are you? / EDD
    13w1d/Nov. 11

    How are you feeling?
I'm feeling pretty good! My energy is slowly coming back and my MS is gone! Heartburn is killing me tho.

    Any recent/upcoming appointments?
    Not til the 15th

    Thoughts/Concerns?

    Questions:

GTKY: Do you have a favorite kid's book or movie that you're really looking forward to sharing with little one once they're here? I love all things Disney! When ds was born I couldn't wait to share that with him. I'm also looking forward to having a special song for this little one, DS' song is Can't Help Falling in Love with You by Elvis. So, I need to find something great for this babe to sing.
  • How far along are you? / EDD
    12 weeks 4 days / November 15

    How are you feeling?
Better! Still battling occasional MS but overall I'm better. My cough and wheezing are improving too, and my energy is slowly coming back. I'm looking forward to exercising again!

    Any recent/upcoming appointments?
    Not till the 24th

    Thoughts/Concerns?
Just starting to tell our friends and family and our pregnancy. It's such exciting new for us yet I still get uncomfortable telling people which is so silly! I don't like being the center of attention and I don't like making big announcements so I always get sweaty trying to figure out a clever way to break the bews.!

    Questions:

GTKY: Do you have a favorite kid's book or movie that you're really looking forward to sharing with little one once they're here?
I love Shel Silverstein. My son is still a little young to appreciate the poems but I still read them to him and I'll do the same with his little brother or sister :)
  • How far along are you? / EDD
    6 weeks/2 days - December 30

    How are you feeling?

Pretty much the same as last week though the exhaustion has ramped up a notch!  Queasy (not really throwing up, a little dry heaving but just overall sense of nausea is constant).  Sore boobs, still slightly crampy from time to time and a lot of lower back acheyness.

    Any recent/upcoming appointments?

Ultrasound and bloodwork again on Friday - we should see the babies heartbeat!  That will be a huge milestone for us!  I can't believe I'll be 7 weeks at the end of this week!

    Thoughts/Concerns?

Have a pretty stressful week coming up - switching to a new computer system at work (which has been a giant fiasco already) and have my best friends wedding this weekend (I'm the matron of honor) - so just trying to stay calm and not get to overwhelmed.  Luckily we decided to go ahead and tell my best friend about the pregnancy (we are waiting until about 8/9 weeks before we tell close family and friends in general) and that has been a huge relief to be able to talk to her about it.   She told me she's almost more excited about the pregnancy than her wedding lol.  I'll be really happy when the system is rolled out and we get into a more relaxing couple weeks towards the end of may/early june!  Plus we get to tell our parents memorial day weekend!

    Questions:

GTKY: Do you have a favorite kid's book or movie that you're really looking forward to sharing with little one once they're here?

I grew up reading the Berenstein Bears and can't wait to read those to my little one!  There are a bunch of holiday kids movies that my brothers and I grew up watching and I think that'll be another fun thing to get to share when each holiday comes up.
  • @wildrainbow Congrats on heading into the second trimester!! :)
  • How far along are you? / EDD
    10 weeks 2 days / Dec. 1

    How are you feeling?
Basically just tired. And super gassy.

    Any recent/upcoming appointments?
Had an US with the OB last Friday and everything looked great! Have another OB appointment this Thursday for physical exam, blood work, and pap.

    Thoughts/Concerns?
I am finished with progesterone supplements! I took my last suppository on Friday! Woohoo!

    Questions:

GTKY: Do you have a favorite kid's book or movie that you're really looking forward to sharing with little one once they're here?
@wildrainbow Your song idea is totally adorable!! (and I think I may steal it!)
@mechelita44 I also love Shel Silverstein! One of my favorite poets!
I definitely can't wait til LO is old enough to appreciate Harry Potter! But until then, there are so many kid's books I love, like Corduroy and Love You Forever. And movie would have to be Wizard of Oz!

    How are you feeling?
Nothing to complain about.  It's almost scary.

    Any recent/upcoming appointments?
    Nothing until Monday the 14th.

GTKY: Do you have a favorite kid's book or movie that you're really looking forward to sharing with little one once they're here?
I have some Golden Book my late grandmother read to me.  I'm looking forward to sharing them.  As far as movies, Wall-E is a favorite.

@wildrainbow 2nd trimester is right around the corner!!! So exciting!!! I'll be joining you soon too, I can't even believe it! 2/3 of the way there!

@mag1cbeli3ver hooray for the end of progesterone!!!!!!

@ChristenMA83 right?! It's just so weird to come out and say "I'm pregnant!" that I always try to say something cute like "there's a baby in my belly" which works most of the time. We told my brother and sister in law this weekend. I had to tell them because my husband feels even more awkward -- even though it's his in brother. I walked into their house and was so awkward that even my sister in laws response was super awkward! Ahh
  • @wildrainbow wow! That’s so exciting!!! I hope to join you there in few (long) weeks  B)

    How are you feeling?
Pretty good. Even my sore boobs are not as sore (which of course scares me!)

I had my last RE appt on Thurs and my first OB appt on Friday. Now I’m like regular pregnant women with no longer week ultrasounds. So nothing this week

As for the boobs they are less sore for a week now!!! Are yours less sore as well?

I wish there was a way to not think about it! Honestly, I finally seem to be a little more relaxed this week (but hey, it's only Monday  ).

Had a ramp up in symptoms the past few days but today is a little better.

    Any recent/upcoming appointments?
tomorrow 5/8 for genetic bloodwork and to check on baby

    Thoughts/Concerns?
A lot of anxiety that something will go wrong. A drop or 2 of peach tinted discharge this morning but no more-just enough to terrify me!

    Questions:
did anyone else have a tiny bit of tan discharge?

GTKY: Do you have a favorite kid's book or movie that you're really looking forward to sharing with little one once they're here?

  • @eabrahamson I've had three instances of spotting this entire time.  My IVF nurse assures me not to worry, it's totally normal, but each time it's terrifying.  Yesterday was the third occurrence.

  • @prudence9-2 @mag1cbeli3ver you ladies have made me feel so much better!  My nausea has tapered a little today and yesterday (though felt it more last night) and I was in full blown panic!  Every time my boobs get a little less sore I'm like, oh no!  I'm glad it seems to be a pretty regular occurrence!  I know I'll feel more relaxed on Friday when we see the heartbeat but it seems like forever until then!!!
  • @thothscribe81 I can remember days where I would actually keep playing with my boobs and bouncing them trying to get them to feel sore. Not one of my prouder moments! haha! Hoping you have a nice quick, low-stress week so you can get to Friday! I really do miss having so many regular check-ups!

@eabrahamson GL at your appointment today! Hopefully everything is okay with the discharge. I'm sure it's fine since it wasn't bright red. Are you doing the NIPT or just NT for genetic testing?

  • @mag1cbeli3ver @prudence9-2 omg I totally do the same thing - I am constantly touching my boobs throughout the day lolol.

Unfortunately this week is going to be (and already has been) super stressful (we are switching to a new computer system at work this week and my best friend is getting married, so between late training nights (my company is sooooo not prepared for this switchover) and pre-wedding stuff I feel like I'm ready to collapse and its only Tuesday!  I cried in the bathroom today because I got asked to stay late again tomorrow lol.  I finally just told them no, I can't, I need that night to catch up on some rest.  Luckily my manager knows that I am pregnant so at least I'm not searching for excuses to get some rest!  I will be sooooo happy when this week is over!
  • @ilky If I had done PGS I don't think I would be doing the NIPT.  We're probably doing it as much for the sex reveal as the genetic screening.  If something is abnormal it'll help us prepare and set expectations for birth...but you should already have that info if you did PGS.
And I pee probably 1-2 times per night depending on how early I go to bed.

@ChristenMA83 thank you for the reassurance! It can be scary to see anything different
  • ilky I wake up at least 3 times a night!  (I'm about 6 1/2 weeks).  Last night it was ridiculous how bad I had to pee when I woke up lol.

  • How far along are you? / EDD
    5 weeks 2 days. 1/7/19

How are you feeling? Feeling fine. I've been getting up in the early morning hours to pee, have sore, swollen boobs, and am more fatigued than usual. No nausea yet.

Any recent/upcoming appointments? I am disappointed that I won't be in town on 5/21 when my RE wanted me to get my 1st scan. I will have to postpone it 2 weeks until I am back from a trip. The waiting is making me anxious, as I feel like there are no definitive symptoms I am having that scream to me I am still pregnant. I just really hope everything works out for this pregnancy!

Thoughts/Concerns? Last week when we found out the news I was super excited! Now I am more calm, but unfortunately there are more anxious thoughts creeping into my head, such as what if this pregnancy doesn't work out. Trying to stay positive and will get back to doing some meditation, which helped me get through IVF!

    Questions:

GTKY: Do you have a favorite kid's book or movie that you're really looking forward to sharing with little one once they're here? I recently saw one of Richard Scarry's books in a shop and it reminded me how much I loved those books when I was a kid. Also Amelia Bedelia and the Berenstein Bears.
  • @shellsbells01 Welcome to the group and congratulations on your pregnancy! I know how terrible it is to wait and how bad the anxiety can be! I'm sorry you have to go an extra 2 weeks, but try to stay positive! Is the trip your taking at least a fun one?

@josiepasta Welcome back! I'm impressed you were able to get some extra hours in at work - I can barely make the minimum with how exhausted I've been! And like @prudence9-2 said, you can definitely give yourself a break from baby prepping for a little while!

AFM, I had an OB appointment today. They did pap and physical exam, and ordered blood work. We also set up all of our appointments between now and the end of September (which was crazy, but cool to think about how far along I'll be by then). We get to listen to the heartbeat at every appointment, which is awesome! But I had a temporary freak out today. The NP tried for almost 10 minutes to pick up the heartbeat on the doppler. She couldn't find it, so she said we would do an ultrasound. While I'm super grateful she ordered the US and didn't just dismiss it, the 10 minutes I had to wait for it were excruciating!!!! I thought the absolute worst and started crying - it wasn't good. But then we went in for the US and there was baby with a nice heartbeat of 174! Needless to say, I was so relieved! So, now it will be 4 weeks between appointments and updates. Hopefully I can keep it together that long!

  • @mag1cbeli3ver what a scare!  So glad you got to see baby on the ultrasound.  That would totally freak me out too.

  • @shellsbells01 Welcome!  I'm just a week ahead of you so totally know that anxious feeling of it being so early and hoping all will be ok!!  I hope the two weeks goes by quick and you get to have an awesome appointment!  Just try and relax even though I know its hard sometimes!  I found a few tv shows that I was able to curl up and watch that kind of just gave my mind a break from everything and that helped a lot!

@mag1cbeli3ver I'm sorry you had such a scare!!! I'm glad everything was totally ok though!!!  Hopefully you'll be able to pick up the heartbeat on the doppler next time!  4 weeks is such a long wait!  Thats the one thing I dread about leaving my RE lol, the weekly ultrasounds!

AFM  So I got a call last night that my regular doc at my RE office had to schedule a surgery for Friday morning when I was supposed to have my ultrasound, so they asked if I could come in this morning instead (heck yes!).  I was so nervous!  They did the ultrasound and there was my little baby (just able to see the little gummy bear now!) and the heartbeat flicker!! Ahhhh!  So amazing!  The doc was super happy and said everything looked like it was going perfectly.  He gave me the option of coming in one week or two (I chose 1 just because I figure I'll take advantage of seeing the baby every chance I get!).  He said they will probably release me to my regular doc in another 2 or 3 weeks.  I already have that appointment scheduled for June 6th so I'm all set for that!  So unbelievably excited to see the heartbeat!

We were going to wait until memorial day weekend to tell our parents and siblings (we will wait till the 12 week mark before making any general announcements), but we talked about it this week and we decided to tell my mom on mothers day this weekend.  She was diagnosed with lung cancer last month and is going through chemo treatments, so getting to give her this mothers day gift is the best thing ever!!!  I can't wait to give her the card with the ultrasound pic in it! :-)
  • @thothscribe81 I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I hope all goes well with her treatment! And congrats on getting to see baby and the heartbeat!! That's the most amazing thing ever! I'm glad things are progressing well for you and baby bean.
