Re: Saturday Ticker Change - 5/5

  • How far along are you/how big is baby? 19 weeks - big as a mango!

How are you feeling? Okay I suppose. Getting a lot of headaches and run out of breath easily.

Rants/raves/questions? Already I have people touching my bump. What do you do if someone asks you if they can touch it - or even does not ask and goes for it?

Any appointments this week? Anatomy ultrasound on Friday.

GTKY: What’s something you couldn’t live without? The TV remote. DD takes it and I can't fast forward commercials. Ha.

22 weeks. Not sure on the size.

Physically feeling ok, just some back pain.

My my rant is that I’m getting really tired of people at work telling me how huge I am. Not sure how I’m going to make it another 18 weeks without saying something to someone that’ll get me fired.

    No appointments this week.

I couldnt live without my weekend naps. I’m going to be sad when DS doesn’t need them anymore.

@mrsman2018 as far as touching, for me it depends on how close we are. If I’m ok hugging you, I don’t mind letting you feel my belly.
I’ve never actually had anyone ask that I wasn’t ok with. Usually they just go for it, then I just turn my body away to block access.  They seem to get the point with that. I never had the issue with strangers though. I guess my RBF scares them off :)
  • 23 weeks tomorrow. I think TB said Polly was a coconut this week.

Still sick occasionally, when it happens, it's all day long. Some round ligament pain. Indigestion started up this week. Recovering from severe seasonal allergies.

I saw my stomach moving around yesterday while Polly was kicking. I was so surprised.. I literally was like "woah, baby"...

No appointments this week. Glucose appt is in two weeks.

Wouldn't have been able to live without strawberries since the 10th week. They are the only thing I can keep down on days I'm sick.

@mrsman2018 I had an older woman touch my stomach yesterday. Luckily, I knew her but it was completely awkward.

@nackie people are nagging the opposite at me. They are like "you should be bigger" "are you eating enough" or my favorite "are you intentionally trying to starve your child"..

    19 weeks- Gameboy

How are you feeling? Okay. Tired but that’s not
    bad. I’m always tired. Lolz.

    Rants/raves/questions? Not now.

Any appointments this week? Monday is OB and MFM. Quad screen labs and an u/s.

GTKY: What’s something you couldn’t live without?

Aside from my family, indoor plumbing. Or a hairdryer. Or lotion.
  • nackie Yeah, I don't know how people think it is okay to comment how big I am. I am aware of what I look like, I am pregnant ... and no, I am not having twins. Yes, I am sure.

BostonBaby1  Lotion is a good one. I couldn't live without that either.

smsaulino  So cool you saw your tummy move. I have only felt LO a few times - I thought by 19 weeks and 2nd pregnancy, I would feel baby more by now. Can't wait for the outside movement.

21w baby is the size of a carrot lol he weighed 13oz on Monday!

I'm feeling great. Baby is moving a lot. Yestetday I noticed my first bump stretch marks. Took them long enough! I get stretch marks very easily so I'm not even worried about them.

I'm extremely happy we're having a boy! Still can't believe I will soon have my very own son. On most days I feel such sympathy from people. I went to Kohls in slippers looking for comfy sandals as my feet were swollen af. Looked like a hot mess, but the clerk was so nice and helpful. Not a single look of judgement. It's nice to have this pregnancy-pass that allows you to be having a public meltdown lol

On bad days I get comments on my weight. Or my absolute favorite this week when I made gender reveal cupcakes for my office mates (all 4 of them). For background, my husband is Indian. Once they saw the blue filling, one guy who is normally very nice to me said "so is your husband happy he won't have a daughter so he doesn't have to sell her off?"

    WHAT THE FUCK.

Excuse my language. I told him I would never sell my children like cattle and walked away. So much for trying to share the good news. I hate people.

I will stay at home after baby comes and I look forward to that. It's the only thing keeping me sane at work. End of the rant.

My next regular OB appt is on Tuesday!

I couldn't live without my husband. He's the only person who is not pissing me off these days. Everyone else I could choke if I could get away with it!
  • srachilagani  WTF! As if he said that - what an ignorant thing to say. Congrats on a boy!
