1. How far along are you? Any milestones?
8 weeks, graduated from my RE and *TW*

Past my loss date!

2. How are you feeling?
I feel OK. Physically I still don't have many symptoms, but oh man am I bitchy. Everything irritates me, and either makes me flip out, or I get frustrated and start crying. This just started on Tuesday, and I'm praying that it isn't a long term thing

3. When is your next appointment?
Tuesday! First u/s with my OB.
4. Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary:
Who here is buying/has bought a doppler, and any recs? I won't buy on until probably 14 weeks, but there are so many kinds/brands, I have no idea where to start.
GTKY: How did You meet your SO?
We met at a bar we used to work at. Started off as friends, and got super close super fast, and eventually we started secretly hooking up. 8 years later, here we are! Super romantic.

2. How are you feeling?
Pretty good, some headaches kicked in yesterday and are still going today, I think it may be related to sleeping wrong though and having some neck kinks. Other than that I'm doing well. Still fighting the fatigue.
3. When is your next appointment?
May 14th, last appointment with the RE for ultrasound and NIPT testing
4. Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary:
I'm still waiting on the midwives to get the records from my RE and call to let me know if I can use the natural birthing suites at the hospital. I so want to have this resolved so I know who I'm doing my 12 week appointment with in 3 weeks. I think I'll call to follow up with them today and see if they've gotten the records.
GTKY: How did You meet your SO?
We met at work. He was in the mail room and I worked in the tech lab. I actually ran into a wall when we first met because I turned around to get a second look. He didn't notice but I found out later that everyone else in the room saw it and proceeded to make fun of me the rest of the day. It all worked out though, that was 16 years ago.

@Hollyyyyy I don't think we'll get a doppler. I think I would drive myself crazy if I wasn't able to get a heartbeat or something.

1. How far along are you? Any milestones? I’m 6 weeks. Milestones so far? The delightful 10 am vomiting that didn’t start till 8 weeks last time started yesterday.

2. How are you feeling?
Tired, lots of nausea, a little vomiting, mostly so incredibly happy to be pregnant again that it’s making me tear up sitting here typing this. Damn hormones.

3. When is your next appointment?
My first appt is in 2 weeks.

4. Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary:

**TW** I’m terrified of delivery. I had an awful birth experience the first time and am dreading giving birth again. I seriously think I need some therapy to get me ready mentally to do this again.

GTKY: How did You meet your SO?
We were both working on a project out of town. We were long distance until we got engaged. On paper it should have been a disaster, but it totally worked for us. 10+ years and counting.

8 weeks! little pygmy seahorse baby.

2. How are you feeling?
pretty good. little nausea here and there that gets through my Unisom/b6 magic potion, fall asleep on the couch at 8:30 every night, but other than that, not too bad!

3. When is your next appointment?
April 25 for my first tri screening (is this the same as NITP i keep hearing about, i dunno- ftm). But yay for an ultrasound.

4. Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary:
finishing up the semester at work has be soooo excited to be done for the summer. I work a second job during summer months and it is much more laid back so i'm looking forward to it. Also have some traveling coming up so i'm stoked and hoping i feel well/energized for it

GTKY: How did You meet your SO?
We were actually set up by cowoekers who were mutual friends. He originally went out with another coworker of mine, but they didn't really hit it off, as his friends asked to try again. Neither of us were super psyched about the date, but wanted to appease our friends. We went, it was fine. Then we started talking a little more and hung out a few times, and now we've been married almost 2 years!

@morgantu Hey DD twin! Is it just me, or does the pygmy seahorse seem way smaller than last week's micro chameleon thing?

@Hollyyyyy lol honestly these measurements are so freaking random. Like yesterday TB said this child was the size of a keyboard key? and today it weighs as much as a jelly bean? huh? Mh and i are still calling the baby "waterbear" because that was the week 4 size and we both thought it was hilarious.

@morgantu the NIPT in non-invasive Prenatal Testing. It's a simple blood screen that will check for the three common Trisomy abnormalities, reveal the baby's sex and blood type. Not sure if that's the same as your 1st tri screening.

I am still BFing DD. I would like to wean but I don't know how to do it. Everyone says just drop a feeding one by one. But we have no set schedule so that's not so easy. I got a book to read to her " mamas milk is gone" I started reading it to her and she just kept saying "no, no "
GTKY: How did You meet your SO?
We met in our college math class. We are both terrible at math, so we were in " that" class.

We have been together 12 yrs this year and married 5.

@Hollyyyyy I won't be buying a Doppler. My last pg , my OB told me that when he uses the Doppler it actually scares baby and baby thinks something is happening to "it's host" .

@morgantu I think there can be different screenings. My last pregnancy I did the emetic testing at 12 weeks. They did blood work and an ultrasound. I did not get to find out the sex. I even asked if I could pay extra to find out since they were doing the blood work but my OB said no and that only if you were AMA you could do it.

just had my first ultrasound!

2. How are you feeling?
Better. I was having a lot of nausea and exhaustion but this past week it has really settled down.

3. When is your next appointment?
Next Wednesday. I have a phone appointment with the nurse.

4. Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary:
I feel bad that I don’t get to get on here and post much. My work week is always so hectic I never have much time.

Non-pregnancy related. The last couple of days have been tough. DS has been super sick. DH stayed home from work with him yesterday. I took him to my Mom’s today and I’m staying home from work with him tomorrow. I think he is getting dehydrated but her won’t drink anything and all he will eat are crackers. Any tips for getting a 14 month old to drink?

We grew up in the same small town. We had the same baby sitter as kids. Ended up falling for each other in Spanish class in 10th grade

@mittenlove86 no advice for how to make him drink. Did you take him in to make sure he didn’t have strep? No judgement here, I’m just sharing because my littlest had strep and I know it’s uncommon, but I think ds1 brought it home and ds2 and I both got it. (This was almost a year ago). Anyway hope he feels better soon!

How far along and any milestones? 9 weeks (+1 day- late to post). Milestone is that embryo is now a fetus

how are you feeling? Vomiting has decreased, but im still nauseous. I am also feeling very emotional. Also tired and boobs still hurt.

next appointment? May 24th. It seems far away, but I guess it’s only 20 days away

r/r/q: I’m angry with my mom. I had info in announcement thread, but my mom accidentally found out I was pregnant (pictures sent to her that were supposed to come to me) and has not been nice about it. She’s been mean to me instead. It’s been a terrible experience for a memory.

How did you meet signicant other? Through my best friend at a bar. I didn’t want to go out and hang out with her friends, but I’m glad I did!

6 weeks. We saw a tiny flicker of a heartbeat which *TW* we didn't see in our last pregnancy.

2. How are you feeling?
Gassy, nausea, headache, exhausted, cranky

3. When is your next appointment?
Monday to confirm the heartbeat. I love that we can go so often with the RE

@Activebaby I did take him to the doctor yesterday. He has a double ear infection plus bacterial conjunctivitis. He just got over an ear infection less than a month ago and that one took 2 different kinds of antibiotics for him to get over. So the doctor gave us a different one this time hoping it works better. I have never seen him this sick. He took a 3 hour nap this morning and he would’ve slept longer but I woke him up. And just an hour later he was back down for a nap again. He did drink pretty well first thing this morning but then he started to refuse it again. It’s so tough seeing him so sick

@lexidawg Yay for seeing a HB! We saw ours for the first time last week, and it was the coolest thing ever
