TTC after 35

Upsides of not being pregnant right now (child mentioned)

Hello wise women of 35+,

In the effort not to get down about entering another cycle, I'm trying to focus on the upsides of not being pregnant right now:

1) I can count on staying awake in late May and early June while on exhausting work travel
2) I am more likely to still be able to travel in late November, for a cousin's huge wedding in LA
3) I will not give birth in January, the very height of the flu season.
4) I can spoil my three year old
5) We are moving in the next two months, and I'll be able to help without falling asleep on a pile of boxes (not sure if this is a positive or negative)
6) It's rose (wine) season
7) Unlimited coffee, sushi, soft cheeses, etc.

Anyone else?

  • That's great to make a list of such things! If I weren't in the middle of IVF stuff...I'd probably be more optimistic about future plans :)

  • I am still holding out a tinge of hope because I haven't quite gotten to CD1 yet, but I will add SLEEP to your list. :)

@kristimh80 Thanks! Any perks of IVF? They don't make you cappuccinos in the clinic waiting room, or give you free cosmetics samples, or something? (They should.)

@BuckeyeNut05 Yes, sleep is definitely a perk. I hope you don't get to CD1 for 10+ months!!  (I'm officially CD1 as of this evening.)
  • @marijaa333 Omg I wish!!! I'd make appts weekly if they gave out such fun things! LOL Only perk for me if knowing my embryos are genetically normal. Estrogen for me is fun...idk why it makes my happy and gives me an idc attitude :)

@kristimh80 A n idc attitude definitely counts! And knowing your embryos are genetically normal is amazing. (But seriously, for the price, a proper cappuccino is the least they could do...)
