Post partum nausea

I couldn’t find a pp post, but is or anyone else experiencing pp nausea?  It started about 2 weeks ago just a few times in the evening.  I’m almost 8 weeks from my c-section and now it seems to be every day since Saturday towards late afternoon/evening.  I never had this with my two other children.

Re: Post partum nausea

  • Any other pain with it?

No I don’t really seem to have pain, just waves of nausea.
  • Are you experiencing any abnormal anxiety? Anxiety can manifest itself multiple different ways- nausea being one of them. Just seems like it could be something different since it’s coming at the same time each day. Did you recently start eating something new for breakfast?
Btw, I’ve also been getting a few bouts of nausea but they seem to be random and almost always precede a migraine (which I suffer from but am not taking my meds because they’re not safe for BFing). Good luck!
  • Are you breastfeeding? That can sometimes cause nausea while nursing?

Otherwise as mentioned above it could be anxiety, it is for me.
  • I'm not nauseous but I'm dealing with migraines and fight them before the nausea starts. I'm thinking it's lack of sleep, baby taking all my nutrients, I'm not eating enough, the worry of baby's sleep and reflux etc.

I typically don’t eat much for breakfast (banana + cereal bar).  Funny, as I typically don’t have headaches but I’ve also had some headaches lately  mixed in there but not always.  Charlie is still dealing with jaundice and we started more extensive blood panels.  So far they’ve come back ok, but will be retesting again in a month to compare.  His color is actually looking better, but it’s had me worried.  I do breastfeed, but it doesn’t happen with feeds.  Usually after dinner as we start to clean up/nighttime routine.  My sister who’s a nurse thinks it might be exhaustion setting in typically around the same time every night.  The little rest I’m getting wears out towards the evening and might be the cause.  I don’t know as I’ve never had nausea with my other two but this time I had a c-section and didn’t know if anyone else experienced the same while healing or even post partum.
