1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 12 weeks, plum
2. How are you feeling? Still feeling good. I’ve been having some RLP this week, but nothing too bad.
3. Any appointments this week? Yep, Friday!
4. Rants/raves/questions? After a week of trying every day to find the heart beat again (I found it at 10 weeks), I finally found it again on Friday. I was trying not to get myself too worked up, but it did put me in quite the funk. I’ve hidden the Doppler now because I don’t need that kind of anxiety in my life!
5. GTKY: Do you have any tattoos or piercings? I have one tattoo on the back of my neck (a cross) and two holes in each ear. Pretty plain Jane over here!
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 10 weeks weeks, baby is the size of a strawberry.
2. How are you feeling? MS is still there *sigh. It's more of ongoing nausea throughout the day and then real sick with vomiting from about 530/6 until I force myself to go to sleep. Still really tired. I think a mental change is happening, where I don't feel like myself because I'm so sick (not able to do house hold things, and have a difficult time with social outings). Trying not to beat myself up over it but it definitely is frustrating and I'm keeping my FX things change after the first trimester.
3. Any appointments this week? Nope, not yet!
4. Rants/raves/questions? I think a mental change is happening, where I don't feel like myself because I'm so sick (not able to do things around the house, cook, difficult time with social outings). DH is doing so much which I'm thankful for but I think I'm placing some guilt on myself.Trying not to beat myself up over it but it definitely is frustrating and I'm keeping my FX things change after the first trimester.
5. GTKY: Do you have any tattoos or piercings? Pretty plain Jane here too, I have my ears pierced and got my bellybutton pierced which turned into a large keloid-- which I think has doubled in size with this pregnancy.... No more piercings or tattoos for me.
Tired. The diclegis is helping with the nausea, but it's making me extra tired.
3. Any appointments this week?
Nipt on Wednesday
4. Rants/raves/questions?
I had a really weird dream where I lost this baby and for some reason I just haven't felt "excited" like I have been. It's really messing with my head I guess. I'm hoping that seeing little one on Wed. and then finding out the sex will bring the excitement back.
5. GTKY: Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
I have several tattoos.
-Cross on my backp
-Preemie awareness /mommy tattoo on my chest
- mandala on my wrist (cover up)
- infinity symbol on my ring finger (for 8th anniversary)
- heart/infinity symbol on left leg
-flowers on my right calf (from my wedding bouquet, that was made by my stepmother who passed away)
- breast cancer ribbon right leg (for both grandmother's)
- gecko on right ankle (for the best man at our wedding, he passed away suddenly at 28)
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 11 weeks, lime
2. How are you feeling? a little nauseous, a lot dog tired
3. Any appointments this week? nope, but I'm hoping I'll get my NIPT results back from last week
4. Rants/raves/questions? I'm feeling so excited about this baby. I think making announcements to post in the next 2-3 weeks has made things seem more real.
5. GTKY: Do you have any tattoos or piercings? Just my ears are pierced. I'm pretty vanilla

I found little ones heart beat with my doppler tonight!! I really wasn't expecting to be able to, and it made me really happy!
Yay! It's so reassuring! I hope that will help you feel a little more excited. I'm sorry you had that awful dream. I think that would shake me a little bit too.

2. How are you feeling? Same old, same old. Super tired with sore boobs occasionally.
3. Any appointments this week? Yep! I have my first appointment with my OB this week!
4. Rants/raves/questions? Moving and being pregnant is awesome and sucks at the same time. Awesome because I don't have to do any of the heavy lifting. Sucks because I don't want to do anything, I just want to take a nap!
5. GTKY: Do you have any tattoos or piercings? I have a tattoo of a moon and stars on my hip and I want more but hubs doesn't like tattoos but I'm trying to wear him down . I have a single hole in each ear. I used to have an industrial but I took that out ages ago when a job wouldn't let me wear it and it's closed up.

3. Any appointments this week?
Finally! My 12week physical/check up is tomorrow. I am gonna meet my midwife for the first time.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
I think it's a little unreasonable that my Dr office makes you choose your midwife or main doctor after one appointment. There are 4 different midwives that work there and you get to meet ONE, then you need to decide who will be your permenant midwife & doctor for the pregnancy. They should have a little meet and greet or something (anything) so you can at least get a feel for the people that you are trusting to take care of you throughout pregnancy & birth.
5. GTKY: Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
My ears both have one hole. I used to have my belly button pierced but stopped wearing that when I got my "grown up" job. I could still force a ring through if I wanted but I don't have any desire to.
One tattoo on my lower left back. It's a crescent moon with a heart that is attached to it.
eh... the nausea/puking comes and goes. The past few days it's been 1st thing in the AM and then mostly okay the rest of the day. That I can live with even if it's unpleasant. And still super tired. Oh and somewhat of an emotional rollercoaster. I cried about soup this weekend lmao.
3. Any appointments this week?
Nope. Next appt is 5/9
4. Rants/raves/questions?
Had a pretty good weekend with DSD and MH. SD didn't have school Friday so we got to pick her up early and had a nice day Friday hanging out, cleaning, and watching some movies. Then Saturday we went to the zoo and had lunch with the in-laws. The zoo was lovely, haven't been there in about a year and I love all the changes they've made to it. We got there right as they were opening so the animals were all pretty active having just eaten/were eating breakfast and it was just a lot of fun.
5. GTKY: Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
3 tattoos: 1) penguin on my foot 2) love and strength on my wrist and 3) my big one is my dragon surrounded my snapdragon flowers on my inner bicep. Piercings: now I only have my ear lobes and one cartilage piercing. Although at one point in time I had my nipples, tongue, ear lobes, and an industrial. My industrial I had to remove because the lower hole developed a keloid after about a 18 months of having it, but I still have the top hole open. My tongue piercing I took out ~2.5 years ago. I'd had it since I was 18 and just felt like it was time to let that go the hole has since closed but I can still feel the scar from it. And my nipples never healed correctly unfortunately and after about 6 months I gave up and removed them.

1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 11 weeks. Baby is the size of a fig
2. How are you feeling? I'm still very tired and my boobs are still pretty tender. Going to do anything wipes me out.
3. Any appointments this week? No appointments
4. Rants/raves/questions? I forgot the major issue with being short and pregnant. My belly has popped, because being 4'11" there is only way it can go. Sigh. I'm about to have to permanently move to maternity clothes.
5. GTKY: Do you have any tattoos or piercings? I two holes in each earlobe, my cartridge pearced. I have two tattoos, one is a four leaf clover on the lower left side of my back that I got on a complete whim. The other is a memorial tattoo for my lost babies. It's a hummingbird surrounded my forget-me-nots on my right shoulder. I need to add a few more flowers. I plan on getting a tattoo for ds and this baby, so all my kids will be represented. I also want to get one for my mom, last week was the one year anniversary of her death. I was hoping to get one that day, but now it will have to wait.
@kamahina9 - so can you rotate through the different midwives for appointments, though? I mean, I can't imagine that your midwife is on call 24/7/365 so there is always a good chance that someone else will deliver your baby. At my ob's office I have an ob assigned but I request to rotate through the different doctors for this very reason. Last pregnancy I met with "my doctor" all of 3 times and the rest of my appointments I saw one of the other doctors. Surely enough, it wasn't my doctor on call the day I delivered. Hopefully your office would accomodate something like this too.

3. Any appointments this week? no, not until May
4. Rants/raves/questions?
5. GTKY: Do you have any tattoos or piercings? I have 3 piercings in each ear lobe, one cartilage. I used to have my belly button pierced in my younger days but I took it out probably 7 years ago. I have 3 tattoos. I have a butterfly tramp stamp that I got when I was 18, which I still actually love to this day. I have two lilies on my upper/inner arm above my elbow crease for my daughter. My most recent is a little mermaid tattoo on my outer calf above my ankle because I love Disney and Ariel has always been one of my favorites.. Still want more!
@phoenix870509 we are going to see it Sunday and I am so excited!! I love Marvel movies. We tried to get tickets for Friday and Saturday but all the reserved seating at our local theaters was sold out!!
@pink_polkadots we are insane! The showing starts at 10:40pm, so we aren't getting back until 2am! And then I have to start work at 8:30 the next day! We are staying over at my parents because 1) the movie theater is near their house and 2) they are watching DS. We have to drive 40 minutes back to our place Friday morning so I can start work. I'm going to be exhaused, but luckily DH is off so he can take care of DS and I can nap.

@phoenix870509 I'm going Friday afternoon with H's best friend. Our birthdays are a day apart and H has to work on my birthday so he asked his friends if he would take me. H's friend is like a big brother to me and I'm so excited to have some adult time!
@alweldon86 how long did it take from the time you had the NIPT blood draw til you got the results? I'm having my blood draw Wednesday and my OB said it could take up to 3 weeks -_-
@vrj0522 - they clarified a little with me today at my appointment. I have to pick the one doctor or midwife that I will see for all my prenatal appointments but when it's time for delivery whoever is working that day will be the people delivering. I asked about rotating through different doctors & midwives and they said I can just pick one on paper but as I make appointments just ask to see a different person for my next one. Making you pick at all seems kinda silly but they said most clients like to see the same person everytime they come in. I guess I just have different preferences than the norm.
@kamahina9 - it does seem silly but I guess I can see the part where some women would prefer to just see one doctor. I personally prefer rotating and getting to know all the different doctors. I'm glad they allow you to rotate too!

2. How are you feeling? Much better! I dare say I'm almost back to my usual self. Still tired quite a bit, but my morning sickness has subsided, so I'll take it!
3. Any appointments this week? Nope.
4. Rants/raves/questions? I've been visiting my parents for the time being, and they have been SO helpful with meals. I haven't had to make a single dinner by myself yet, and it's been such a nice break. We work together to cook something, or they just tell me to relax and they'll take care of it. BEYOND thankful.
5. GTKY: Do you have any tattoos or piercings? I do. I have silhouettes of flying birds on my right hip. I'm sure y'all have seen a similar one on Pinterest a million times. I was 18 and thought it was the coolest. Lol. I also have magnolias on my left ribs and the cover of The Great Gatsby tattooed on my right ribs, because it's my favorite book ever. No crazy piercings. Just my ears twice.
2. How are you feeling? meh. Ok for the most part just soooo tired. It’s hard to get anything done.
3. Appointments? nope
4. Rant/rave/question: I’m already getting unsolicited advice from people who know I’m pregnant. This was probably my least favorite part of last pregnancy, and of having an infant. Everyone and their mother with their damn opinions.
5. GTKY: tattoos or piercings? once in my ears and then one tattoo on my back by my right rib cage of a bird silhouette. I’m pretty boring haha!
@kamahina9 & @vrj0522 - I'm one of those patients that would rather see the same person at every appointment (knowing there will be a couple that likely won't happen). I also strongly prefer that my OB does my delivery which is why I go to a small practice. My OB prefers to deliver her own patients as well, and I'll likely be another scheduled c-section which makes that easier to do.

@mockingjay1 - I can see why it would be nice to get to know your OB, especially if there's a good chance of them delivering for you. The hospital I will be going to will only have the delivery staff on hand and I won't have much of a choice. I'm just hoping my friend that is a delivery nurse is working the day I go in. Having someone that I know & trust would be a relief.

So I go here ladies... so so tired. So I'll give the short version:
12 weeks and had an ultrasound on Monday. Baby and I are doing great!
So jealous of those that know who will be delivering them. I'm also in the rotating providers situation and whoever is on call the night I deliver is who I get. I guess it's nice to meet all my options during the appointments but I agree that the building of a relationship with your doctor is virtually impossible in this situation.
Also jealous of those going out to these movie releases... I'm overseas so I see the movies weeks after their released... to be honest, most of the time we just wait for the dvds now. Y'all will have to update on how good that movie is! I'm curious!
I'm so glad you guys mentioned rotating through the OBs at your clinics. They have me set up/scheduled all with the OB I was using before we got pregnant. My earlier appt's for LO were with another OB though since my doc was on maternity leave. So I've met with 2 of the 4. There are a few dates they scheduled me that won't work/I need to change so I'm going to ask if I can rotate through the other two so that I can at least meet them. Depending on who is on-call when I go into labor will be who delivers. It's actually the same birthing center/hospital my sister had her son at 13 years ago and I remember her being upset and misled when the OB that did her delivery wasn't the OB she had seen throughout her pregnancy.

@lurvleybunchococonuts - your poor sister! I would be so pissed if they implied it would be one specific Dr then they pulled a switch the day of. Yeah, I figure if I can at least meet as many staff as possible then I have higher chances of recognizing someone in the delivery room.
+1 to the rotating doctors at my OB. My doctors office uses midwives unless you are high risk, so there are about 5 you rotate through and have appointments with throughout the pregnancy so you have the chance to meet them all. They will purposefully schedule you with a different midwife each time for this reason. Whoever is scheduled at the hospital at the time of labor is who you get. I don’t mind it honestly, it was the same way when I had DD. All the midwives are really kind and personable so I didn’t really mind any of them.
@kamahina9 I don't think she was intentionally misled. I don't know if they just didn't emphasize her OB might not do delivery or if she just assumed they would or if she just didn't quite pay attention or what.

I have a tattoo of a moon and stars on my hip and I want more but hubs doesn't like tattoos but I'm trying to wear him down . I have a single hole in each ear. I used to have an industrial but I took that out ages ago when a job wouldn't let me wear it and it's closed up.

1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
12 weeks! Baby is the size of a plum.
2. How are you feeling?
I have a cold and this cough is quite annoying. Still extremely tired and sore boobs.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
10 weeks and strawberry sized!
2. How are you feeling?
eh... the nausea/puking comes and goes.

2. How are you feeling?
I think we've turned a corner on this whole all day sickness thing. Still nauseous, but just that. Also still eating every 2 hours to ensure it's not a fluke. And still tired, all the time. I want my energy back!
3. Any appointments this week?

1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 10 weeks. Strawberry.
Edited: posted the entire thing in bold print.
