Why is it so hard to figure out care for kids? I feel like the minute we get comfortable with what we have going on, something changes. Our nanny was supposed to work 3 days a week this summer watching my kids, but she just let me know she can no longer help. I understand stuff comes up, but I'm so frustrated. Trying to find someone we trust is difficult. I so wish my parents were close so we had a bit of help with the small stuff like needing 30 minutes of help every now and then.

So many things...
1. I forgot my work computer at home so I had to use my student-free periods to drive home and get it. 80 minute round trip -_-
2. This baby will not let me eat healthy. I am determined to have healthy lunches this week! I have: carrots with hummus, apple slices with peanut butter, and a babybel cheese. Soon as I got done eating I started feeling nauseous. If I eat any type of fried potato, no nausea.
3. If I take diclegis, I'm a walking zombie. If I don't, I'm nauseous. Ugh.

@middleschoolmommy I am the same way with Diclegis. I talked to my doctor about breaking apart the components using OTC stuff and they were fine with that. I ordered 25 mg B6 off of Amazon and have Unisom. I take half a Unisom if I feel like I need sleep help (probably ever other night or so) and I will take a B6 in the morning and at night. That has helped me a good bit. I forgot to take my B6 this morning and I notice a difference for sure.

@middleschoolmommy +1 for trying B6 + unisom. And I hear you on baby not letting you eat healthy. I've been trying to increase my fresh fruit since I've been feeling somewhat better. Ate a banana on Saturday, puked. At an apple yesterday, puked. Trying an orange today... can't tell yet. But then I can mac-n-cheese for days with no repercussions.

it’s been over a week waiting for a call from the mfm group to schedule an appointment, and even though i was told to wait for them to call me, i kinda want to call them now to be certain the ob office didn’t forget to send my referral over. ob appointment was last monday, ob office claims referral was sent following wednesday, should i just keep waiting?

@highsteaks Honestly, I would probably call them. I understand they might be busy and planning on calling but you need to advocate for yourself and LO and if they have a problem with that, then (personally) I wouldn't work with them.

Blah, I only have myself to blame for this one. Forgot to take my meds today and ended up throwing up. First time in almost a week! Also, DH's schedule changed last minute, so he cannot stay home with DS during my scan tomorrow. Had to call my mom and ask her, so she's going to meet me at the doctor and hold onto DS while I get the NT scan.

I have a couple today. First found out someone blabbed to the in laws before we had a chance to tell them we're expecting. Father in law proceeded to air his disappointment all over facebook. Fastforward to about 730 this evening. Get frantic texts from my best friend that i needed to call her asap. She proceeds to tell me that one of my supposed other friends starved all her horses to death, one of which used to be mine. I trusted her. Those poor horses.... im so pissed amd so sad i cant stand it. Top it off with a rough shift at work, im done. Just done. I want to just get hopelessly drunk amd forget today happened.

So it's Tuesday but I have a BF! I just got an email from the OB that there was new test results posted in my patient portal. I called to see what they were because when I went for my NT scan and NIPT blood work they didn't ask me if I wanted to know the baby's sex or not. I don't want to accidentally find out, so I called to double check. It was just the results of my pap, and the nurse said the NT results were there but that the Dr will go over them with me. So then she goes "So you don't want to know female? I mean sex, the sex of the baby? When do you want to find out?" So I'm like "We don't want to know, at all." She said she would make a note in my file, but now I'm worried she just told me that we are having a girl. Someone talk me off the ledge please! It was just a slip right??

My BF is being up all night with a sore throat. I blame my cousin for asking me to hold her sick toddler before telling me she was sick.. thanks for that.

@tessiesmom26 Ooooo girl how frustrating. I would not be above calling not to necessarily complain, but to let the individual in charge of nursing staff know. Whether she just misspoke or not, you gotta watch what you say, especially with that sort of information. And I'm sure she just misspoke and didn't accidentally tell you. Baby is totes gonna a boy

@horsecrazy406mama I'm so sorry you had such a rough day yesterday. 1st eff what your FIL thinks, and how mature... posting on FB his disappointment pfft... I know someone getting coal for Christmas. And 2nd I have no words other than I am so so sorry to hear that. What a cruel, inhumane way to treat animals. IMO there's a special spot in hell for people that do things like that. *creepy internet stranger bear hugs*

@lurvleybunchococonuts I think I just might do that. It really shouldn't be that hard to not tell!! I'm all flustered now. I called my mom and she said "What's the worst thing to happen if you do find out?" which is so true so I am trying to just relax now. She didn't confirm anything so hopefully it was just a dumb slip. Either way it's a 50/50 shot and as long as baby is healthy I don't care what's between their legs.

@tessiesmom26 I bet she was just reading the form options and was going to finish "you don't want to know female or male?" but then switched to "sex of the baby." You have every right to be annoyed, I mean you were calling to specifically ask that you didn't want that information.

@horsecrazy406mama You win this week's BF. Holy crap. So terribly sorry to hear about the horses-- are there no legal repercussions for that? And your FIL....people that air their drama on social media like that almost physically gross me out. Sorry you have that in the family. Hope it all calmed down.

My BF happened on Monday even though I'm only getting around to it today. I left the house early to get some work done but had to turn around before long because the stop and go traffic was making me sick (I work from home, obviously this wouldn't fly with a regular 9-5). I was 5 minutes from my house when I couldn't hold back anymore and I had to throw up in my favorite (later I realized my only) purse

. I was in the middle lane during commuter traffic so I couldn't pull over and there were no red lights so I had to keep driving and maneuvering through traffic while actively vomiting. Completely ruined the leather and had to throw the purse in the garbage. Luckily my midwife's office was quick in refilling my Zofran prescription so I'm feeling a lot better today.

@tessiesmom26 - ohh that is not okay. They should be more careful and in their profession, they should know better! I agree, you should definitely call her boss and just notify them of what happened.

@MouseMama817 - that sounds pretty horrible. At least it's an excuse for a new purse? That's the only bright side i could find in that situation.

@MouseMama817 Nothing about that experience sounds good! I'm so sorry! I was only nauseous my first couple of weeks. I get awful food aversions, but I can't even imagine. I hope you're feeling better.

I have extreme fatigue! I'm actually going to chat with my dr this week about it. I fell asleep in traffic last week. First of all, it sucks that traffic was that slow, but I also was scared out of my mind when I woke up. I'm sure it was only a second or two, but two seconds too long. I have cut the caffeine, but thinking I may have to consume a half a can to keep me going throughout the day.

I hope they will throw the book at her. It will probably be a while before shes charged with anything. Everything only came to light this weekend. Praying for justice for those sweet babies!
