What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): had US this morning and had only one large follicle.  2 more days of meds then US again on Wednesday and IUI Friday or Saturday.  However, I had a flashing smiley on OPK today.  I also have never had a 2nd US before IUI.  In addition RE asked if I was still spotting.  Of course I didn’t really think about these things until after I left. So I don’t know what to think.

    Rants/Raves
    : not feeling hopeful

    Questions for the group:

GTKY:  What is your favorite Spring / Summer flower? I love flowers.  One of my favorites is hibiscus

What are you the happiest about this week? I’m always grateful for DH and DS
  • @Mack2342 Hi cycle buddy! Those your's will count more since I have literally 0 chance lol Try not to stress / worry too much! If you had a flashing smiley face OPK...take advantage of that. It's the little things that are nice to be able to feel like we have a little control over. What meds are you taking for your IUI? When I did mine I had a 2 - 3 monitoring appts, but was doing injectables so they did check a little more. Think of it as a good thing...I'd rather know they were keeping an eye on it all and nothing was missed :)

  • @kristimh80 femara and gonal f.  I’ve been doing both for a while now. 3 then got KU then MC and this is 3rd post loss.  This is the first time though for the extra US.  I did complain last time that I felt my first two cycles after loss were a waste as I thought I Od earlier than they predicted based on temps so maybe that’s why.   I dont know.  I don’t usually ask a lot of questions but it was spot on with the first 3.  I really think I started over analyzing since this could potentially be our last cycle.  We might be able to get one more but then we are done and we aren’t doing IVF
  • @Mack2342 That makes sense but it's good that you are trusting your gut on it. My last IUI was full injectables, so maybe why I'm remembering in my head more monitoring. After that cycle, we took a break...I couldn't imagine anymore heartbreak and felt like we were throwing $$ out the window. Praying for you that this cycle works and everything is right as it should be! <3

  • Thanks @kristimh80 I hope all goes well with procedure in May.  For us we have one son and I struggle with spending money on IVF when RE gave us like a 2% increase over IUI.  Feeling like if I spend it and still don’t get a take home baby then I’m taking money from my son.  I keep going back and forth as my heart says what if IVF is the answer.  My DH has the head of reason and so we’ve decided no IVF
  • @Mack2342 That makes total sense and I'd feel the same way about IVF if that was my case as well. For us, we have no kids, so it's our only option but I've learned the hard way that it's not perfect or a guarantee either.

: Just waiting for my fet , again ! Go back in the morning for US and BW.  My lining was 8.3 on CD7 so I’m hoping it’s in the 10s this time since they moved me up to 3 Estradriol a day last week! Starting to get nervous and excited! Other than that no much has been going on! Hope everyone is going well!

    Questions for the group:

GTKY:  What is your favorite Spring / Summer flower? OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE PEONIES and sunflowers! Unfortunately I am Allergic to most flowers but I enjoy them from afar lol

What are you the happiest about this week? I am the happiest about going to pick up my 3 y/o niece tomorrow! I love that her and I get to spend so much auntie/niece time together! Even though she’s 3 and a total as*hole sometimes we still have so much fun!
  • Hi all! I've been traveling for work and haven't been able to check in much lately but have been lurking...

@kristimh80 "high maintenance uterus" cracked me up. I'm also a big fan of flowers...
@ndz2018 your threenager niece sounds like fun :)

Status: I'm on DPO 9 (caved and tested - BFN).

What are you doing this cycle? Prenatal only

    Rants/Raves
    :
I live in the DC area and it's absolutely gorgeous here right now. I also walk to work, which I know is a huge luxury even when it's raining or snowing, but right now it's a mental vacation twice a day with flowers and birds and sunshine and perfect temperatures.

    Questions for the group:
How do you stay sane in the TWW?

GTKY:  What is your favorite Spring / Summer flower? Magnolia by far, I just wish they lasted a bit longer.

What are you the happiest about this week?
Springtime, having to travel for work for the next four weeks, and going hiking this weekend! Also, toasted cinnamon raisin bread from Trader Joe's...

  • Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment): taking break

    Rants/Raves
:  It's sunny and 70 today!  Went for a 30 minute walk around a trail today.  Ended up having more energy than I expected.  My rant is my doctors office taking forever to fill a script for an anxiety med.  I had no idea these things were so dang controlled.  Made me feel like an addict the hoops I had to jump thru.  It took the entire day and lots of calls to finally get it refilled at 5pm and I had called my docs office at 9am.  I may look for a new doctor.  Also I tried going up from 50mg of zoloft to 100mg of zoloft and it gave me hot flushes at night and nausea early in the morning so I'm staying at my 50mg dosage.

GTKY:  What is your favorite Spring / Summer flower?  Don't know if I have a favorite flower - anything that will attract hummingbirds and butterflies.

What are you the happiest about this week?
There is only 1 cloudy day this week and the rest are sunny!

Still hanging out in the TWW, I am 9DPO and have got a couple of BFN in the cheapie dollar store tests and don't have any of my symptoms from last time, so I am not super hopeful at this point.

    Rants/Raves
    :
Rant: I was stuck in a really awful marketing training all day today where I sat through someone explaining things to the group that if we all didn't already know, we shouldn't have jobs
Rave: I get to miss day 2 of said marketing training to go on a zoo field trip with my girls' kindergarten class tomorrow!

    Questions for the group:
    Not this week so far!

GTKY:  What is your favorite Spring / Summer flower?
I can't remember what they're called but they are like a light green color. We used them in our wedding and they were super pretty.
  • My one follicle still hanging in there.  Lining looked good. IUI scheduled for Friday
  • @BuckeyeNut05 FX for you!! Some people never get symptoms, so don't count yourself out yet :)

  • @BuckeyeNut05 That training sounds awful. Been there... And I'm 12 DPO today so we're nearly on the same schedule. I caved and tested at 9 DPO (BFN) and again today (BFN), so it looks like I'm going to have a great weekend with some wine and unlimited coffee!

On the flower, are they chrysanthemums, like the one below? Now I'm racking my brain trying to think of light green flowers...

On a more serious note, I am having pangs very low on the left side of my pelvis Earlier in the month, I thought it was possibly ovulation, then implantation, but now at 12 DPO I'm starting to wonder if it's a cyst. It's not real pain so calling a doctor would seem silly. If
anyone has had anything like this before, I'd love to hear about it...

  • @marijaa333 FX its a good sign! Luckily, cysts go away pretty easily, so you're right...prob no need to call the doctor   You can implant up to 12DPO, so there's still a chance!

  • quick question for a friend who just got her DH's SA results back - his sperm isn't the right shape so is IVF their best bet?  She's being referred to a specialist at this point.

  • @vlagrl29 what does that Mean? I only Know about count, morph, motility and volume. Maybe shape is morph? If that’s the case depending on how aggressive your doctor is and what his numbers are they may try some IUIs but ours was like one thing wrong and said its straight to IVF for you. IVF is hands down a higher success rate than IUIs ...  do you know what his numbers for his SA are?

: I'm depressed about being on the tale end of our last natural cycle. It's sad to see this chapter of our TTC journey coming to an end. I'm really not looking forward to going though IVF but...here we are. I just booked my mom's ticket for next month. We're flying her out here from AZ to help with DS. That will be a blessing and a curse...too many days together and we start to bicker!

  • @marijaa333 and @kristimh80 I definitely had symptoms last time, so I am hoping this is a fluke. I did check to see at what point I got my BFP before my mc and I was negative on CD28 (which is today) and positive on CD30. Still holding out a tiny bit of hope!

Happy to have a cycle buddy!

Here re is a pic of the mystery flowers if you can identify them.
  • @mich_elle ((hugs)) I totally understand what you mean! I'm here if you ever need anyone to talk to. As you know, I did IVF a few months ago and might do another cycle this Spring. It can be such a roller coaster of emotions. One minute I'm excited and on a high, then the next I'm down in the dumps feeling like a loser b/c everyone around me is getting knocked up. If i wasn't for @ndz2018 listening to me lately...I probably would be hiding in my house!

@ndz2018 So your turn is coming up, that's exciting! Have fun with that little one! LOL

@marijaa333 It helps when you get out in the fresh air! Clears the mind a bit! Thanks for your support!

  • @mich_elle it was cold and rainy and I got yelled at by the bus driver. Haha!  But at least I wasn't in Day 2 of marketing training!
  • @mich_elle - oh it gets better actually worse.  The pharmacy didn't fill the script the right way as the doctor ordered it so I got a call from the nurse that the pharmacy called her and basically the are cutting me off anxiety medication.  Uh don't I need to ween first?  I was so stressed Wens night.  I just started therapy 2 weeks ago and don't feel at a place yet to ween but hopefully soon.  My therapist told me to find a psychiatrist which I made a tone of calls the following day and found one that can get me in next Tues.  I hope he is understanding on my situation and can just continue to give me refills until I don't need it.  I don't really want to change up meds.  My sleep has not been right since I took clomid back in Feb - I would just love to sleep thru the night without waking up.  Wondering if I should try melatonin.

@BuckeyeNut05 Thank you for the cymbidium orchids name!

@mich_elle Yes, fresh air does help. Endless googling does not. When will I learn ;)

@vlagrl29 I use melatonin with great results when i travel. I tend to take only 1/2 a dose and that seems to work well.

  • @marijaa333 - I'm thinking the extended release melatonin to help me stay asleep. Going to get some tomorrow.
