How many weeks am I? I'm confused

HI ladies, I have a fairly regular cycle 28-30 days, luteal phase 14 days. I know concieved around March 5th for sure because we were trying. My LMP was February 19. Online calculators say I'm due November 26.
What I'm confused is that some calculators count my LMP as week 1 and others don't. The first response pregnancy test app says I'm going into my 10th week of pregnancy as of this coming Monday but other apps say I'm going into my 9th week.

Is 10th week gestational age and the 9th week result is the fetus age? I'm so confused. Am I 10 weeks or 9 weeks of the 40 weeks? I have my first midwife appointment next week and can't wait.

Anyone due November 26 with same cycle as me? How far along are you?

First day of my LMP was February 20. My cycles were about the same length as yours. According to most online calculators I am due November 27th and am currently 8w4d.

Hi, I am also due on November 26th and have a regular 30-31 day cycle, although ovulate later usually 17-19. I am 8 weeks, 5 days today, which has been confirmed by my RE. So if you are due on the 26th, that should also be your weeks.

First day of my LMP was Feb 19 too, and I am 8w1d (if I go off of my first ultrasound) My original due day is Nov 26th, but when I had my first ultrasound I was measuring a few days behind. My doctor said she isn’t changing my due date yet.

Okay, so just to clarify, and hopefully I won't confuse you more, the first day of LMP counts as the first day of week one, however that doesn't mean that you are one week pregnant, it means that your are one day into the first week. At 7 days pregnant you were 1 week pregnant but starting the second week of pregnancy. This coming Monday you will be 9 weeks pregnant and starting on your 10th week of pregnancy. Does this make sense? I hope it does because counting months is similar... right now you are still one month pregnant but on your second month of pregnancy. On the 26th, you'll be 2 months pregnant and starting your 3rd month. I really hope I didn't just confuse you more but let me know if I did!

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and due the 25th. I use the day I ovulated (based on BBT) as marking 2 weeks and count out from there. Today, I am 8 weeks 6 days, tomorrow I will be 9 weeks 0 days, the next I will be 9 weeks 1 days etc. It's similar to your birthday/age, you're 30 from the time you turn 30 to the day before you turn 31.

I am so confused. Hahaha. I mean I get what you're saying, but geez Louise, why does counting weeks have to be so confusing? I just started my 13th week today, and my app tells me I'm 13 weeks pregnant, not 12...

I'm confused about the month counting. How is someone only 1 month pregnant when they are 9 weeks pregnant? That would be 2 months pregnant, wouldn't it? 2 months = 8 weeks.

I'm not trying to argue or anything, I am just legitimately confused.

Ok I get that. But if I'm in my 10th week but really only 9 weeks pregnant from conception. Wouldn't I say I'm 10 weeks because that's the 10 weeks out of 40 weeks, you get what I mean??? That's what it seems like with this calculator I have my due date plugged in.

@offtoneverland - oh man, just what I was fearing! Haha!

She's only 1 month pregnant because her due date is the 26th, which means she will be 2 months pregnant on the 26th. I'm not going by weeks on that because different books will tell you something different about weeks so I'm jist going off her actual due date. On the 26th she will be 2 months pregnant but starting her 3rd month of pregnancy.

I don't know how else to explain it except that on the first month, before you actually turn 1 month pregnant, you are basically 0 months pregnant up until 4 weeks, right? But it's still your first month of pregnancy. You can't say at one week pregnant that you are one month along because you are not and yet, you are in your first month of pregnancy.

Take a baby for instance, in their first year of life they are not 1 years old, they are simply days and weeks and months old. Once they turn one, they have completed that first year and they move on to their second year of life but they will remain 1 yrs old until that second year of life is completed. Does this make sense? Please tell me that it does.

@vrj0522 Ah-ha! I get what you're saying now. I was counting months by how many weeks, I wasn't thinking of the due date in the grand scheme of things. So even though I'm starting my 13th week today, I won't be 3 months pregnant until the 27th. Very weird and strange.
Let's all just agree to make up our week/month counts from here on out since it's too hard!

@offtoneverland - I agree! Counting how far along we are in pregnancy can get super confusing! It's especially bad when one book says one thing and another says something else!

@mommatobe29 - the calculator says that as of today you are 8 wks 5 days along and in your 9th week so you are still technically at the 8 week mark. Starting on Monday you will be 9 weeks and starting your 10th week of pregnancy but for those 7 days you will be 9 weeks pregnant, not until the week is over will you be 10 weeks along.

Ohhh ok I think I get it. So each Monday it's the start of a week but won't be until end. Example: I'm 8 weeks this past Monday going into my ninth week, that's why it says week #9 (8 week 5 days ). So this Monday I'll hit my 9 weeks going into 10th week (#10 week /9 weeks. I go by the brackets on the calculator beside the # of weeks.

Or simpler terms. Every Monday I'm ending a week going into a new week. Example this Monday I'm officially 9 weeks but going into my 10th. Yes I get it now! Yay lol
