Egg Recall

Saw this one earlier but skipped over it because we have our own chickens so we don't buy eggs. It occurs to me now though that probably a lot of people on here don't get their eggs from their backyard.

"To check if your eggs are affected by the recall, look for the carton number. They should be labeled with the plant number P-1065, with packing dates ranging from 011 through 102.

The eggs were sold to restaurants and in supermarkets under multiple brand names, including:

Coburn Farms

Country Daybreak

Crystal Farms

Food Lion

Glenview

Great Value

Nelms

Sunshine Farms"

    Just an FYI. If you buy Great Value (Walmart) eggs, your UPC will match no matter what. I took back my eggs because they had a matching UPC and the Customer Service folks let me know that the eggs we get here in Pittsburgh actually come from Ohio not Indiana. She said they should be fine but took them back with no issue because of the UPC. She just wanted me to know that all of the Great Value eggs throughout the country have matching UPCs. Don’t freak out that yours are definitely affected if you’ve eaten some.
