CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD6
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): I had my baseline u/s and day "3" blood work done yesterday. The tech saw 14 follicles total, so hoping that's enough. Next week I have my saline HSG, H's SA, and then progesterone blood test on day 19. After all of that, we finally get to talk with the RE on May 23. I'm already gearing myself up to push for treatment. Taking prenatals, Ubiquinol, the alphabet of vitamins.
Rants/Raves: Super tired of winter. We had a crazy ice storm that took out power in about a third of the city. On the plus side, I'm starting to feel better and hope to get back to the gym tomorrow! I really find that a work out gives me a bit of a mood boost and it pretty much the only thing that gets my mind of ttc.
Questions for the group: Did your REs give good reasons as to why they chose to do IUI or IVF first?
GTKY: What actress would play you in a movie about your life? I used to get told that I look like Winona Ryder, so maybe her even though she's a little crazy!
CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD16
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): prenatals, Vit D, CoQ10
Rants/Raves: I can't believe this month is half over already! My goodness-it flew by for me! We will TTC one last time on our own over the next few days and TBH, I'm not looking forward to it. It's like a task I need to do, something to check off my To Do list. Because of DH mild ED issue, we try not to make a big deal about HIO so that it doesn't affect his performance but we both know how much is riding on this one so...I wouldn't be surprised if it's a bust. He takes Cialis but it doesn't always work! Mind is definitely over matter here. He's been super busy with work so we've really gotten disconnected and now I feel like sex will be...I don't know...weird. I think we need some time away, without DS, just the two of us to reconnect. But, you know, work gets in the way. If you recall, he was in Europe recently (DS had the flu, I was so sick & he lost his friggin wallet!) for 4 days. Well, he just found out that he'll be back in France the first week of June! I really hope that the trip won't interfere with us doing IVF. We shall see. Christ, you'd think I'm PMSing with how down and negative I feel. Sorry ladies
Questions for the group: If you took pomegranate juice &/or pineapple core, how much & when in the process?
GTKY: What actress would play you in a movie about your life? Melissa McCarthy or Amy Schumer!
What are you grateful for this week? We may be able to fly my mom in from AZ to stay with us from May-June to help take care of DS while I go to all the appointments. She's had 4 major back/neck surgeries in as many years and is having back pain again. She has bulging discs and needs an injection (April 24th). She also has horrible arthritis in her foot and needs an injection (May 4th). FX she finds relief with those injections and can get her butt on a plane back here! LOL!

Rants/Raves: Extra work being piled on me before my vacation next week!
Questions for the group: I feel dumb asking this, but since I'm just starting to use this on my computer versus my phone, how do I make my signature a spoiler so people don't have to see this long thing every time I post? Thanks. I'm not techy at all...
GTKY: What actress would play you in a movie about your life? Renee Zellweger, as in Bridget Jones
What are you grateful for this week? That I am going on the cruise next week and have had fun packing and shopping for last minute things for it.
@ndz18 I'm so excited for your FET to finally be close! It will be here before you know it!
@mich_elle I get it on the whole sex thing. I feel like this whole TTC can become so like clinical when we have all these interventions and so programmed, I dunno, but we really need to reconnect too. Hopefully on this vacation if DD can hang out with others so we have some time. I'm hoping your husband's schedule doesn't screw up your IVF calendar...it's so hard when people travel for work. Sending hope and luck your way!
@bakerstreetboys our RE gave us the options from most minimal to most intervention, so he basically laid out our odds if we tried on our own versus IUI versus medicated IUI versus IVF and then left it up to us. Part of me wanted to be TOLD what to do, but I guess it was also nice to not feel he was steering us to IVF just to get the $$. In the end, we did a couple of IUIs just I think to convince ourselves that yes, at my age, we really DID need IVF, but we had to go through the steps like that to be comfortable rather than just leap to IVF if that makes sense. It's really what you're comfortable with. And insurance coverage. And your tolerance for the drugs, injections, emotional rollercoaster, etc. Good luck!

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Relaxing...getting myself good for next cycle.
Rants/Raves: Grateful for all the ladies on here.

@mich_elle I hear you about ttc sex; I hate having it on the mental calendar and feeling like it has to happen.
@Momifbysea Sounds like you had a good RE who wasn't pushy. Nice to have options, but I totally get the part of you that wanted to be told what to do! Hopefully we are given some options at the next appointment.
@Mack2342 I'm in the same boat I think, it's a matter of finding the "good egg". I'm just not sure how patient I'd be with IUI, but also not sure that they'll even offer us IVF. Money is definitely a factor. My province pays for IVF, but the funded wait list is at least 12-14 months long and I can't wait for that, so it would be OOP. Has your RE's office had their raffle yet? We had a radio station that ran a contest and ended up paying for four couples to get IVF. I wish they were running it now!
@kristimh80 I can't see siggies, but sorry to read that your FET got pushed back. I hope you get a chance to relax before next month.
We are on a TTC break so I hope you guys don't mind I still post here. Anyone taking zoloft and upped your dose - how did that go?
I've made it through week one of the TWW. I've had some cramping, which is usually a good sign for me, but no sore boobs, which is a bad sign.
CD, CD/DPO (if applicable):
I am 6 DPO.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?):
Nothing special this cycle other than Prenatal vitamins, temping and OPKs.
Rants/Raves:
Rant: I had an allergic reaction to who knows what last night and my left eyeball swelled shut, so I looked gorgeous today!
Rave: I just hit up the Der Dutchman buffet for dinner and oh my word it was good!
Questions for the group:
None right now.
GTKY: What actress would play you in a movie about your life?
Someone tall, gangly and uncoordinated (but awesome
I am thankful for my MIL this week. She drove up (we're 7 hours away) to watch our girls for the week while they're on spring break so my husband and I didn't have to take time off of work.
@mack2342 - hope the increase in the gonal f does the trick for you
@ndz2018 - glad you FET is coming up. I'm sure it feels like it's been forever since you started the process
@bakerstreetboys - GL with all your testing - I would do IVF if I was you and if it was an option. It's so expensive!
@mich_elle - maybe you can spice up the sexy time. I always found it was good to have variety. I have to say now I'm so relieved we aren't having to time sex anymore. that got old.
@kristimh80 - I'm so sorry your FET didnt work out. That must be upsetting but I hope your next one is the one that sticks!
@BuckeyeNut05 - you guys have a late spring break. we had ours the week of March 19.
