27+4 today. Different sizes...bunch of bananas, lettuce, bike helmet...not very exciting!

I'm still feeling great pregnancy wise BUT I've had a cough for 5 days now and it's very slowly getting better. Like...very slowly. I miss meds, lol! Other than that no new symptoms and still good energy considering the cough crap.

Question, are you registering for clothes at all? I know people buy them anyways...I added a few that are a little more expensive than usual (organic cotton, etc) but I'm thinking that's all.

I'm currently driving myself crazy researching cleaner brands for baby products and diapers. Thinking of trying a few brands and buying maybe 3 types to see how they work out. If anyone has suggestions on clean baby products let me know!

I've been listening to a great podcast that I feel is really good for FTMs so if you're interested check it out: Pregnancy Podcast (easy peasy!).

Favorite song as a teenager...so many...I'm gonna go with Tubthumping by Chambawamba! It was all the rage my freshman year of high school in Italy.

26+6 today. I think its Kale.

Feeling great for the most part. Feeling pressure and a little pain on my pubic bone, but nothing crazy. Sleep is weird. I don't feel tired when I usually go to sleep, but waking up is so hard lately. All of my "complaints" are very minor though. I'm actually loving being pregnant and experiencing everything.

I think I mentioned before, but my grandma passed away last week. Her funeral is next Friday which also happens to be my next appointment. My appointment is in the afternoon so I don't need to reschedule. My main problem is the lunch will be knoephla soup (a cream based potato and dumpling soup basically) so carb-tastic and I'm doing my GD test that afternoon! The soup is also my favorite, but I'm afraid it will screw with my numbers! I'm considering just bringing yogurt or something and saving the soup for after the appointment.

@kissableviv I am not registering for any clothes! I did have a friend recently register for all organic cotton stuff and I actually didn't buy any clothes because of that - I didn't know how picky she would be and didn't want to get anything she wouldn't use (and they didn't have anything she registered for in my local store).

How many weeks? Size of babe(s)? 25 weeks 3 days size of a double cheeseburger or a prairie dog

How is everyone feeling? I'm finally over that throat virus and am feeling 10 times better! If only I could sleep the whole night...

Questions? Anyone else having days where baby is SUPER active then a day where there is nothing? I know they say not to really worry until 3rd trimester, however, it's still worrisome.

Rants/Raves? My sil has given me 4 trash bags full of baby clothes and 2 bags of shoes. This little girl is going to be well dressed.

GTKY: What was your favorite song as a teenager? If you hear it now, do you turn the volume up as loud as possible and sing at the top of your lungs?
Ms. Jackson, So Fresh, So Clean by Outkast Probably 2 of the greatest songs to blare and sing while in the car to this day for me.

@kissableviv I still added clothes to my registry, even though I've bought clothes for her and my sil has given us at least a year's worth of clothes.

For cleaning: we make our own cleaner (bathroom, floor, kitchen). It consists of white vinegar, dawn dish soap, and water, with a few other things depending on what it's being used for. We have a lot of littles over ranging from 7 months-8 years old. We've found our dyi cleaners work better than what our house cleaner uses. We also use All Free and Clear for clothing, with the occasional Oxi clean to get the tough stains out.
Pampers have been to go-to in my family. However, since I've received so many different samples from the registry boxes and bags, I'm open to see which is best for my little girl. (The Honest Company has the cutest designs!!!)

    27 + 6 today. Lettuce I guess.

I'm feeling mostly pretty good, still have some lower back pain and haven't found a belt that is comfortable and supportive for the issue yet. But I'm looking.

No idea what my fav song back as a teen was! Is that bad? I don't even know if I have a favorite song now, I'm so mercurial when it comes to music.

@kissableviv I did register for some clothes, but really only because I want to be able to take advantage of the completion discounts. I'm not expecting anyone to actually buy any of those items, if they do great, but we're planning on buying them anyways so may as well get a % off!

@MrsMiller8588 So sorry for your loss. <3 And also, that soup does sound amazing, I'd probably eat something with protein for lunch and save the soup for later so you can really indulge in it without worry. I don't know how much our meals really impact those numbers on that test, but I also was worried about eating something that would tip me too far. I did eat Dairy Queen later that day though.

first time posting here! Hi!! I have been posting on other threads and active on TTGP threads.

How many weeks? Size of babe(s)?
25 weeks and we are a cauliflower this week. Not fun for chalkboard art so i drew my favorite food this past month - Phish Food ice cream

How is everyone feeling? Pretty good. Finally popped and filling out. Good energy level and enjoying Florida summer heat now.

Questions? TMI but chapped nips. I just noticed it yesterday and it’s on my agenda today to research. Anyone else experience this yet?

Also, my baby book breaks down the weeks in 4week chunks, so WK 25 in my book is month 7 but then i read elsewhere that this is still month 6 and that month 7 is actually wk 27.

Rants/Raves? Little Miss and her movement. Some days she is SOOOO active and other days a few kicks and that’s it. Then i think the worst and then i get a Kung Fu day.

GTKY: Jimmy Eat World - The Middle! I loved that song and still jam out to it when i hear it.

    *edit for added question

@And846 Lansinoh Lanolin ointment is great for chapped nipples and bonus, is safe to use after baby arrives and is breastfeeding! Just a small dab goes a long way and stays on for hours.

Edited bc I didn't put the complete name of the ointment.

@And846I had the same issue a couple weeks ago, I've been using Earth Mama Stretch Oil everywhere since it it's been amazing. I'm just not ever going back to regular moisturizers, ever. But when I get closer to delivery will probably switch to an ointment specific for the nips.

@TalesOfASocialIntrovert I haven't tried the Lansinoh yet, but it's on the list of things to try! Is it greasy?

@kissableviv I’m registering for those basic white onesies packs in each size, I figure at least to have the basics and once it’s colder i’ll Put them under outfits!

How many weeks? Size of babe(s)?
    27 weeks- lettuce!

    How is everyone feeling?
I’m feeling great- so happy I was able to finally wear a dress to work today in NYC, it’s been so cold before now that I couldn’t wear one. I was so happy no to put on pants!!

    Questions?
    None right now.

    Rants/Raves?
My rave is that I’m still feeling pretty good, I am def feeling more tired from walking and I get out of breath from walking a block! Lol not like out of shape out of breath- just baby pushes on me strangely. Lol

GTKY: What was your favorite song as a teenager? If you hear it now, do you turn the volume up as loud as possible and sing at the top of your lungs?
good question- I have so many favorites- probably semi charmed life- I always loved it and belted it out!!!

@noideawhatshesdoing It is pretty greasy but if you go sparingly, or slather it on and pair it with breast pads once kiddo is born, it isn't really an issue.
  • Options
I have not gotten that issue yet but I heard pure lanolin is great too. I've also been using coconut oil in the shower on my belly and on my nipples too and so far so good!
  • Options
I just had my breast feeding class yesterday- they recommend organic coconut oil for the chapped nips- only need a little dab and it’s also safe for breast feeding if that’s what you are choosing to do once baby is born!

I'm having so much fun adding all kinds of things to the registry. It's seriously an addiction. I just want to click BUY on all the things!!
  • Options
@catftm2018 interesting...the lactation specialist teaching the breastfeeding class I went to,  said not to use coconut oil on your nips when breastfeeding.

@kissableviv I went trigger happy on mine and now am grooming it because...I went overload. Lol it's too much fun!!

@zombiehoohaa that’s so strange. But honestly with everything I’ve heard I’ve also heard someone contest it lol. I guess just trust what your doctor says.
  • Options
@zombiehoohaa I also heard that, I'm using it now though. I added a bunch on lanolin on my registry lol.

I calculated how much we have on it and if we exclude the stroller and the car seat which our parents are buying the total amounts to $50/couple (most people have a +1). So I'm pretty confident we'll get at least half of what's there, it's only a handful of things over $50.

I'm just taking all the information with a grain of salt. Lol my sister and 2 sil all said they didn't need to use anything in their nips...soooooooo...lol
