As for me, we have a kind of annoying weekend planned - my husband's car wouldn't start yesterday, so we're getting it towed today to figure out what's wrong with it (please please please don't be expensive) AND we get to file our taxes, since we didn't get around to that last weekend! Fun times! But we're also going to the park because it's beautiful outside and I'm having lunch with my best friend and my DD tomorrow, and I'm going to get some writing done, so that'll be fun.
Just trying to ignore my waves of nausea and fatigue and focus on the fun stuff.
@maureenmce Ugh..that does not sound like an ideal way to spend a weekend. At least there is a bit of fun scheduled in with some outside time and lunch with your friend.
Last night, I went with hubs and a bunch of friends to see a cover band play. Today, some QT with hubs and our dog baby outside before it turns into winter again tomorrow. Dinner with hubs and some of our friends later. And finally, lunch or dinner to celebrate a dear friend's birthday tomorrow. Busy, busy over here.
My parents are visiting and it’s so hard not to tell my mom. She’ll be so excited but I really need to wait until her next treatment is complete (and hopefully successful) so that she doesn’t dwell too much on the what-ifs of not making it to December to meet LO.
Mostly quilting this weekend. I feel so sick and tired it’s hard to do much else. I think I’m going to have to try to run tomorrow because I don’t think my stomach is gonna let that happen today.
My husband leaves on a hunting trip tomorrow so today has been spent prepping for his trip. Once my son wakes up from his nap we are going to take him for a haircut then to the tractor supply store to see the baby chicks.
Tomorrow I may see if my best friend wants to have a play date. It's supposed to snow though so my son and I may just hunker down inside.
We went to the local dairy bar for cheeseburgers and milkshakes for lunch. It was SO GOOD and I didn't even feel sick after! Then I came home and took an amazing nap. My husband is now up in the attic trying to anchor our ceiling fan and I am fetching tools and hoping he doesn't fall through.
We went and saw Isle of Dogs, it was so good. I love Wes Anderson.

@runrinserepeat oh that must be tough with your mom... when do you expect to be able to tell her? I haven't seen my mom in person since bfp (parents live 6 hrs away), but I imagine it's really hard. Good luck!
I worked late last night and all day today so I just got home, took a hot shower, and MH picked up pizza. Our plan is to catch up on some shows and chill tonight. We are supposed to get hit with an ice storm so probably not a lot of activity here if that happens.
@morgantu she should be done sometime in June, so hopefully we’ll have lots of good news to share with each other then. They’ll be at the hospital for a long time during treatment so it won’t really be difficult to hide then, since I won’t really see them, but I think they’ll be spending every weekend until then at our place.
As for me, happy update - DD peed on the potty for the first time! Out of nowhere, just asked to and did and suddenly I'm feeling slightly less terrified about potty training. (She's been very vocally anti potty training lately cause her best friend is struggling with it, so I'm relieved her opinion seems to have changed!)
Took a 1 hour glucose test this morning, then went grocery shopping. DH and I were supposed to clean during DSs nap, but he woke up after 45 minutes so I went in and laid down next to his crib and and ended up napping with him lol. Then we had friends over for dinner, grilled burgers and homemade fries. Then DQ ice cream after! Tomorrow will probably be full of laundry and maybe cleaning out our garage some more. DH needs to get to the mower since our lawn is turning green and growing, but it's pretty buried, so we've got some work ahead of us.
@maureenmce I hope the repairs aren’t expensive...car problems are the worst. And yay for DD going potty!! @runrinserepeat I’m so sorry about your Mom...I really hope her treatments are successful. Also, I would love to learn to quilt!
We finally got home from KS today. We had to leave our house in a rush Tuesday evening because my FIL had his 2nd heart attack in 6 days. We’re very lucky to still have him here with us. As we were heading home yesterday, they closed the interstate due to blizzard conditions so we had to stay in the 3rd hotel room in 4 days. Needless to say, we’re glad to be home! I napped today when DD did (3 hours, whaaat?!) and then polished her toenails for her while DH ran out and got Mad Greens for me. He’s already passed out, so I’m watching Parks and Rec. Tomorrow, maybe church and finishing up on a bunch of laundry.
@runrinserepeat@CecilB93 Thank you, it was hard seeing DH so distraught. @CecilB93 I hope your glucose results are good! I apologize if you mentioned this in another thread, but were you GD in your pregnancy with DS? I was with my DD and I didn’t know if they start the testing early the 2nd time around. I just despise those glucose tests!
@clbness I didn't have GD with my DS. The nurse said since my BMI was over a certain threshold I had to do an early glucose test this time. I'm sure I'll have to do it again later at the normal time, too, if this ones negative or whatever. If it's positive, it's going to be a long pregnancy
@CecilB93 if I had to take a glucose test right now I'd 100% vomit. Do you know what the BMI threshold is? If you don't feel comfortable answering, that's completely fine. I'm 35 lbs heavier than my last pregnancy, so I'm curious.
I had GD last pregnancy and I’m dreading that damn test. My dr told me that she’ll order it at my next appt in May. Fingers crossed for you @CecilB93
We’ve got an uneventful weekend planned. Today we just had breakfast and relaxed. Tomorrow I go for my ultrasound and my husband wants to go to Disneyland for Pixar Fest, but I’ve been feeling pretty nauseous so that’s prob a no go.
@texas_t the nurse didn't say and I didn't ask. I honestly have no idea what my BMI is, I hate that number anyways because it sucks when working out (which I haven't done in over 2 years...anyways...), it's not a proper form of measurement imo. I am considered overweight (5'3" and ~180 lbs), but I know some people who are considered overweight based on BMI but are the most fit people I know. /Rant over lol. FX they don't make you take an early one!!
@CecilB93 Girlllll.. I am 5'3" and was 195 with my first and I didn't have to! I guess better safe than sorry? I'm 235 now, so this is a whole new ball game
@texas_t it probably varies by Hospital/provider then. Man I am NOT looking forward to that number hitting 200!! I'm sure it will, that's only 20 lbs off for me, but it was hard enough seeing 150-170 with my last...I had been working out to lose weight when I got pregnant, so that sucked a bit gaining the weight, meanwhile I totally used pregnancy as an excuse to indulge, so my own damn fault lol.
@CecilB93 fx for good results for you! I've always thought BMI was such a goofy standard...never been a fan. Ugh @westcoastfoodie I hope yours goes well too!
