@TravelingCouple, Thanks for starting the thread! I don't see myself in the list, but I joined in the last week. Just so you don't have to look it up in there: EED 6/8 with a boy :)

We had a baby shower yesterday (Sunday), exactly 2 months before the due date :) I was happy that my bump popped enough to be able to show it off! It was a relaxed co-ed party at our house with buffet style food, and no games or anything. DH kept baking mini-meatballs and trays of pasta to keep the warm food fresh. About 30 people showed up, so it was busy. Only once everyone left (after about 4-5 hours) I realized how exhausted I was. We got TONS of books gifted to us, and a few other useful items - the baby library is definitely set!
Today the completion discount starts for my Amazon registry, and I'm so eager to get the rest of the things we'll need for the baby!!! I might wait to go to BuyBuyBaby one of the upcoming weekends first to make a final call on which stroller we're getting (we have one in mind, but want to test it in person first).

Just as I was celebrating last week that I don't really hurt much yet, sciatica nerve pain started on my right side. Ouch!!! 2 months to go - eyes on the prize!!!!

looking forward to see everyone else's updates!

@FuzzyDust sounds like a wonderful shower. I wish my hubby would have wanted to do a co-ed one. I definitely have more guys friends than girl friends. Mini meatballs and pasta sounds delightful. Does he cook a lot? You are lucky. :) My hubs has been cooking more now that I don't feel great, which is a nice change, but we also have been eating out more as well when he doesn't feel like cooking. Sorry to hear about your sciatica pain... Hopefully that will get better.

I will be 31 weeks this week and have a check up tomorrow. I am honestly hating being pregnant and am constantly miserable. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful to finally be having a baby after 4 years, but it feels like my body is giving up on me. I am in constant pain in my hips, back, legs and can't sleep due to it either. Friday night I slept for 2 hours and then was awake from 4am on and never fell back asleep. Last night was about the same. I have almost gone to the hospital a couple times due to pain, but I just take my pain pills and deal with it. I am worried that I am going to have to quit working here soon well before my due date due to pain. I have been crying at least once a day and I never cry.
I also received some lab results back in my portal from my urine test last week that were flagged as abnormal, but haven't heard from the doctor about it either. I also have thrown up my lunch today and dinner a couple times the past week or so.... :( Can it just be June already? ;)

I hope everyone is doing better than me and is having a wonderful Monday and had a great weekend. I love hearing all your updates.

TTC 4 years. 7 failed IUI's with either Clomid, Femara and/or Trigger Shots. Started IVF journey in February 2017. Polyps removed in May. 1st IVF Transfer September 26th. BFP. Expected due date 6/14/18. Baby boy born 5/25/18 at 6 lb 9 oz. My bundle of joy.

@TravelingCouple will you add me too?  I into'd last week but probably forgot to tag you in my post.  EDD June 21st, team green!

@FuzzyDust sounds like a really nice shower!  I love books so that is super fun you got a ton.

ugh @Holls214, I'm so sorry you're still so uncomfortable :(  I feel like I can totally relate to you.  I am SO grateful to be pregnant & thankful the baby is helpful, but this effing rash is driving me INSANE.  Same as you, zero sleep, can't stop scratching, it is literally all over my body.  I look like I have a flesh eating disease right now.  are you throwing up from bad acid reflux?  I've done that a few times when I forget to take a zantac and it sucks.

AFM... still itching & scratching away.  30 weeks on Thursday!  I legit want to rip off my back  :s  I've been trying to sleep with long comfy pants & a long breathable shirt on so I don't scratch in my sleep (when I can get some).  Other than that, just ready for some warmer weather.  We are going to New Orleans next week for my sisters wedding & I am so ready to stuff my face full of beignets & breathe warm fresh air.  Skin aside, I am excited to get away one last time.  I also had my 3D ultrasound today & baby wouldn't cooperate.  I tried walking around, jumping & eating fruit snacks.  He/she usually isn't super active early in the morning so I shouldn't be surprised.  They said I can try to reschedule if I want, so we'll see...  we did get to see the baby move it's hands, yawn & got one decent picture but definitely not the full experience.  The tech also measured my fluid & thought it was on the low end so she called my OB; my doctor said it's on the lower end of the normal range so they'll keep an eye on it.  I had heard IVF babies tend to have less amniotic fluid but have no idea why; anyone else hear that?  I go back next week for a regular check up & then we start the every two weeks til we go down to one.  I scheduled our hospital tour & am finishing up my registry before the shower invites go out...just finally getting things done :)

@FuzzyDust Your shower sounds like a lovely time glad things went smoothly for u!  Coed is always a nice twist! Sorry ur starting to hurt, I'd like to say it gets better but i don't believe it does, mine seems to be more intense and I keep adding more pillows to lay on.

@Holls214 my poor friend I really feel for u!! It's hard cause we all struggled so much to get here, years, we finally make it and feel like we have to be happy and joyful loving every second.  Well at least I do and when it's anything but u almost feel guilty and don't want to share your true feelings.  Sleep is tough for sure and I feel like I'm more napping through the day which is easier when u don't have to work from home ;). I know u want to keep going but u need to come first.
Is all your crying from pain or nerves?
Hoping the urine issue isn't too serious and assuming since the dr didn't call right away it is!!
Are u taking dicliges still? I threw up the other day and I was not a happy camper at all!!
Hoping you'll get some relief soon!!!

@Aera11  ugh I hate that u have such a bad rash still!! Nothing they recommended is helping that's so awful I'm sorry!! Can't believe ur sisters wedding is here yay!!! Hope you'll be feeling better by then!!
sounds like baby was having a dandy time doing its own thing.  Hoping my lil one will cooperate so I can get an US pic.  My place doesn't let you make special appt for the 3D it's only if it happened naturally that they can get a good shot during ur regular appt.
Not sure about the fluid but better they. Priced it now and can keep an eye on it!

@TravelingCouple  thanks for keeping the thread in check!!

32 weeks on Wednesday and I feel like I'm already due its crazy!! Baby is having a party today!! The kicks or whatever by the vag though freak me out! I was walking with my mom and I had to stop a few times from the pain I was feeling so who knows what's going on.  Glad I have an appt on Wednesday with both drs to check on everything!!
my heart burn and acid reflux is still awful I just try to manage as I know it's never going away.  My hips hurt all the time that I just try and shake it out and add more pillows.
Still have a cold but at least my red mustache is starting to go away, sux being sick when pregnant!!
Called the hospital to make an appt to go for the tour and the woman in labor and delivery was clueless as to what I was talking about... :s no that's not concerning, dear lord.  Will try again tomorrow.
Thinking about starting that registry :)

Hello all! Just found this group and joined in last week. 33 weeks on Thursday. Latest due date is May 17th (38 weeks) with B/G twins! FTM. Get to see babies on Wednesday with MFM because girl's head is measuring very large. We did a small co-ed shower with friends which was fun. My other 2 showers were family and traditional with females only. I can relate to some of you with the difficulty getting comfy to sleep. Up 3-4 times a night to pee now. Acid reflux also a yes and lately the fun GI symptoms.  But keep telling myself it's worth it! We basically have everything ready to go and I've been in a nesting mode for my entire pregnancy I swear. Getting excited and both nervous as it gets closer!

@TravelingCouple If you could add me to the list :) Due 6/14 with a little boy!

@FuzzyDust we went to buybuy baby to test out carseats and strollers too, super helpful! And we "registered" while we looked so we'd remember what we liked and also get the free goodie bag :) Hey, gotta take advantage of all the freebies!

@Holls214 hate that it's not getting better over there :( June feels so close and yet so far away at the ssame time, especially when being pregnant is making your days so hard!

    @hopeful_mom start that registry! :)

@doubleblessings1124 Welcome! I wish I'd been in that mode sooner, I think I suffered from a little bit of depression the first trimester and a half cause I could no motivate myself to do a thing. Even getting up in the morning was a struggle. I chalked it up to pregnancy until it got to the point that I didn't want to shower or do anything. Talked to my dr and eventually (after lots of conversations) went on something to help and since then I've been nesting away :) So excited for you and your little duo, how beautiful!

AFM 30 weeks + 5 days - had my check up last week. Was supposed to be just blood pressure and heartbeat but she went ahead and checked my cervix since I've had such issue with contractions. Still was long and firm and not doing a thing which is great news, means my contractions weren't prompting labor yet. She's keeping me on the medicine for the next week and a half and then likely going off of it to see what happens. I forgot to take it (supposed to take it every 6 hours and had issues if I didn't before) on Sunday and saw no increase in contractions! So i've gone down to every 12 hours the last 2 days and seen no increase which is awesome! I think my body finally calmed down a little bit hopefully.

I'm having awful back pain and rib pain recently, I can't sit for very long in any position because it aggravates one or the other. I drove inadvertently for 3 hours the other day and man, I was absolutely miserable not being able to adjust. We're in the home stretch but man, I'm ready to meet this little man and have my body back to being at least my own!

@FuzzyDust Glad your baby shower went well! Sorry about the sciatica :(
@Holls214 Ugh girl I am so sorry you're in so much pain. How awful. June would feel far away when in that much pain everyday. I hope the urine is ok - did you hear back?
@Aera11 Docs didn't seem concerned about the itching? I can't remember if you've already mentioned if they've checked you for cholistasis?
@Hopeful_mom The kicks certainly are getting stronger, and the ones near the bladder and pelvis are like..whoa, are you trying to make your out of there? Baby girl woke me up this morning with a swift kick to the ribs :)
@doubleblessings1124 Welcome! I've added you to the top.
@loverin Glad your cervix is closed and all looks well! I'm sure you're not ready for baby boy's entrance quite yet!

ETA responded to everyone and forgot to check-in myself, haha. 30 weeks today! Baby girl is certainly getting stronger in there. I'm so curious to know if she's head down yet, but we have no more schedule ultrasounds at all! I haven't seen her since the anatomy scan which feels like a long time ago. I am still hoping to see if I can catch the u/s tech at my next appt and ask for a 3D. It wouldn't be scheduled, but she told me to ask her if she's there when I come in. She wasn't there at my last appt. Nothing too new to report on my end. Compared to all of your ladies' pain and discomfort, I don't have a heck of a lot to complain about. Heartburn is still present but I've been self managing with smaller meals and cutting out food completely by 7p and it's worked really well. I can't believe I'm almost to counting down single digit weeks. We're hoping to get the nursery painted within the next week to start getting everything set up.

AFM went to the doctor today. He is not my regular OB, but I have seen him a couple times and I actually like him better than my OB. Is is too late to switch? ;) He said I should cut back on my work hours, only work from home and no travel since the pain and sleeping are so bad. He said other than that just to keep taking the pain medication, which I hate to take, but I die if I don't. He said it isn't hurting the baby.
I am a little afraid to give his letter to my work and have them say just to start leave now. My husband seemed kind of annoyed at the thought of me cutting back on work hours, I know he is super supportive and great, but acting a little more concerned about our health would be nice. I don't think he quite understands how debilitating every day is and is worried about finances. I get that, but isn't my sanity better than some money? Sorry to vent, just frustrated that I cannot even enjoy a little bit of this pregnancy. I wish we all just didn't have to work and could take some major time off after baby is born for a mental health break.
@TravelingCouple I haven't had an ultrasound in forever either and they told me today that we won't get one until 35 weeks. WTF. That seems like forever to not even see this little guy. I think our last one was at like 23 weeks. Is that normal?

@Holls214 I had my anatomy scan at 20w, and then my next ultrasound was at 36w. Those four months took forever! And I wish I can be a SAHM lol. It seems like living the dream to me. However, I'm a huge shopaholic and I like some of the finer things in life. So my husband is going to balk if I go on shopping sprees and not be working.

@rel_1987 Wow it's happening! I hope everything goes smoothly for you!

@TravelingCouple I feel like time flies in the third trimester, at least it's much faster than it was in first trimester.

@loverin I feel the same way about wanting my old body back. Don't get me wrong, I feel extraordinarily blessed that I had a rainbow baby growing in me, but it's tough to go up the stairs or try to carry groceries in.

@doubleblessings1124 I agree with you, it is worth it!

@Hopeful_mom Wow I can't believe you're 32w! I remember those days last year in the main infertility forum. Surreal we got this far. And I also can't believe you haven't finished your registry! I just now put in my last registry completion orders in, so I'm expecting a ton of boxes to arrive soon, including diapers!

@FuzzyDust I ended up getting the Chicco Bravo travel system. It's kind of pricey (in my eyes) but I used the BBB 20% discount which helped a little.

AFM less than a month to go... still need to set up the crib and dresser! I am so terrible at this kind of DIY stuff. My husband has been fairly busy lately and I need him to just get it done. I'm worried the baby will come any day now. I feel more and more of this "burning" sensation beneath my boobs, especially in the middle or the night or when I attempt to turn in my sleep. Speaking of which, turning in bed has become this ridiculous exercise.

    My TTC journey:
    Me and DH: 30-35
    Unexplained infertility
    TTC #1 since 2015
    11/2015 - BFP!     12/2015 - MC  :'(
    IVF #1 July 2017 freeze all (20 eggs, 15 mature, 10 fert, 6 blasts, 4 PGS normal)
FET #1 TBD  Surprise BFP 9/2017 while waiting for FET... hoping for the best!

thanks @Hopeful_mom, I hate complaining but it's so bad.  I was able to reschedule my 3D so we'll try again in two weeks when I'm home from my sisters wedding.  Let us know how your appointments go tomorrow!  do you have a date set for your shower? definitely time to get registering ;) even if it's just so you can use the completion discount later for things you want/need.

@TravelingCouple my OB thinks it's PUPPP even though she hasn't seen it yet.  They did draw blood & I didn't hear anything about it so I am assuming so cholistasis.  I feel like since the dermatologist was convinced it wasn't PUPPP, I really didn't think it was either....but realistically, that is most likely what it is.  What allergic reaction goes on this long?  Nothing has changed for my diet or products I use but who knows what I've been exposed to, it just seems weird for it to continue if it was a one time exposure.  I think since it didn't start on my stomach I assumed it wasn't PUPPP because it sounds like that usually starts there but I've been doing more research & it doesn't necessarily have to start there.  Basically I am in scratching/itching hell.  Hopefully you'll be able to catch the ultrasounds tech & get a 3D one :)

@Holls214 hopefully your work will be understanding & will let you just cut back instead of starting you on leave now.  I feel like my DH would be the same; like he would think I was just complaining about being itchy but he can see how bad it is, but if he couldn't see it...it's like it wouldn't exist.  Just like morning sickness, I was kind of glad I was throwing up instead of just nauseous because he could see/hear that haha.

    Good luck @rel_1987!!
@Holls214 I think it's normal. No reason for one unless there's a concern I think. I'm jealous you get one at 35 weeks! I think I'm waiting until birth at this point unless we get an impromptu 3D

@helloworld9 we also got the Chico Bravo system. Less than a month yay! The furniture we got thankfully wasn’t that bad to put together. Hopefully yours will be the same.
@Aera11 I’m so so sorry you are still dealing with that. No way it could be an allergic reaction lasting this long. Is there nothing they can do that helps? :( I agree with things being visible to the hubs. It’s like they don’t get what they don’t see... was your 3D optional?
@TravelingCouple yeah I think it’s just a quick one at 35 weeks to see the position of the baby and that is all. Wish we all could do one now.

Have any of you worn a belly band? My lower back pain is getting pretty unbearable so I'm thinking might be time to try one. I see they have tons of different styles and prices so just wanted to check if anyone had a recommendation! Thanks!
  • Options
@doubleblessings1124 I tried a bella band with my last pregnancy, not sure how different that is than a belly band. The one I had was meant to support regular buttoned pants but it was super tight. I never found it comfortable for the clothing purpose, but haven't tried it for back pain.

@Holls214 - I really got lucky with the hubby cooking skills - he's from Italian family and LOVES to cook. We even agreed on the chores division - he does cooking and dishwashing, and I do laundry and folding (yes, I know, I got the easier part!!!) :) We occationally eat out, and I sometime make simple dinners, or weekend breakfast, but he does most of the grocery shopping and cooks most nights.
Ouch, Ouch, Ouch, I'm so sorry you're in a constant pain! that soudns miserable, hope the last 2 months fly by fast. And hope your husband will come around on cutting work hours - maybe it was just an initial freak out, and after some processing, he'll realize how your health right now is so much more important. Also, hoping your work is understandign and will allow you to work remotely and less hours.

@loverin - I got goodie bags from 5 different places :) pretty much registered everywhere I could. Interestingly enough, most people bought us stuff from either Amazon and Targer, so BuyBuyBaby is a good place to go check out things in person, but not as good for others to get gifts.

@hopeful_mom - definitely time for the registry :) My baby is also having a nightly partly with cervix kicking... when my blooder has even a little bit in it, it gets pretty miserable very fast.

@TravelingCouple - double-check with your doctor, I thought that I won't have any more u/s, but at the last appointment I was told that there will be one more at 36 weeks to confirm the position :)

@rel_1987 - good luck! sorry about the low fluid level, but you'll get to see your little bundle of joy very soon!!!

AFM - sciatica nerve calmed down after about 4 days of pain!!! what??? I couldn't believe it! but apparently it can happen if the baby pushes the nerve while in transition, but then moves on to a different position and removes the pressure :) That's such a huge relief!

Everyone's bumps are looking super cute!! @doubleblessings1124 looking at u I totally forgot u have 2 in there! So cute!! My friend gave me her belly band and it's not something I can sit in as it feels like there's too much pressure.  I've been wearing it for some walks as I feel so much pressure in my lower abdomen but then I get nervous it's too tight...so I'm still testing it out and I'm not sold that it's helping.  I do feel extra support in my back when I do have it on.
@aera11 pretty dress looks like it'll be perfect for NO! I really hope this dr is correct and you've gotten to the bottom of this awful itch!  Constant pain is the worst!!
@Holls214 u still are a natural beauty, r u feeling any better?  I really hope u take whatever time u need for u!! We all need money and I'm a freelancer and I'm not working.  Do I need the money? Hello of course my insurance alone is someone's yearly salary...but I've worked too hard and long to get here that I needed to take this break.  Forget the fact I was just too sick in the beginning.  Hubby just. Reds to be supportive and get over it, he should be thankful u have gone as long as u have it's amazing!!
@loverin u look so cute!! I'm sorry u had such a hard time in ur first trimester and I'm glad ur feeling better.  This cycle of life is not easy for sure!!
@helloworld9 we've been waiting so long to get here it still seems surreal!! I'm jealous of everyone's completed registrys and nursery but I've just been too nervous! And it's also our culture we don't buy anything before the baby is born so this is one custom I'm gonna stick with ;). Even my mom with everything that happened last time she won't buy a thing till after.
@FuzzyDust yay ur getting some relief that's fantastic!! Who knew just getting the baby to move could make a world of difference, that's awesome!!
I should really be sleeping so will continue after a nap ;)
