We are driving to a taco dinner and riding in a friend's car. He opens up his moon roof so can can vape. Thankfully it pretty much all went outside and he only did it for a second. This was also after I got in my husband's car to head to our friend's as he was letting out a huge puff. I get that vape is mostly water vapor, but it still has nicotine. I don't want to be around it at all. It just felt super inconsiderate on both parts. I may have posted an article about vape around pregnant women on my FB after.
@sammierose464 How rude! I would have spoke up, but I love that you posted that article.
I had so many plans for this weekend and they’re all washed up since I’m miserable. I rarely go to the doctor due to illness, but I’m really considering going to urgent care. I am trying to save all my time for maternity leave so I don’t want to take more time for being sick.
Morning sickness has me stabby. I feel like it's getting worse, not better.

MIL texted me last night, "we hope you're getting enough rest but I think your not!!" Umm excuse me? I don't see or talk to you on a regular basis or post on Facebook rarely ever for you to possibly know what I'm doing or not so don't start with that crap. Then she said her and FIL have been shopping all day and want to know what my "dream gift for baby" would be... don't get me wrong I'm super grateful they're excited for this baby but I really feel like they're going to treat my grandbaby like a redo since they've been screwing up their relationship with my BIL and his gf. They caused a lot of their own problems and blame everyone else for it which is why they barely see their first grandbaby. And because of that they said they won't be driving up for the birth of the second one due any day now, (it's a 3 hour drive) because "they're behind on bills" but want to buy my baby an immaculate dream gift?? It's infurritating to listen to them talk so badly about about my in-laws.. They think they deserve everything they want and throw full blown bitch about it on Facebook tantrums when they don't get their way.. Sorry I've been stewing over them and most of this for a while... you can't choose you in-laws right..?
Yesterday I was complaining to DH about my attempt to buy maternity pants. I love Pinkblush for their dresses, but holy crap do their pants legs run small. FYI, if you've got thunder thighs like me, they may not work. I'm normally a 10 in pants and can't get my thighs in their larges. Anyways DH says "well yeah, do you have big thighs for your size". he claims it's a good thing, but still not what you want to hear lol!!
@sliztee oh yeah, for better or for worse, it's all there. Also this just reminded my of my favorite line in Love Actually..."oooooo would we call her chubby?"
Almost 2 years ago my dad had a bad stroke leaving him unable to work. He has always been the one to support the family financially and my mom was home with us. She had to go back to work that year (after not working for 27 years) because they had no income. Fast forward 8 months and my mom begged my SO and I to move in with her because she just wasn't making ends meet. My mom and I have always has a rocky relationship and my SO has never been her favorite person. Reluctantly we said yes. It was suppose to work out where it was going to save us money so we could by a house in a year or so.
It's been hell since we got here and we pay for a majority of things. She complains she had no money and can't buy a car. (She sold hers when my dad got sick to pay for bills) she talks shit about my SO and I behind our backs to my siblings and they tell me everything. I'm so tired of having to be nice to her when I know how she really feels. She always plays the victim and manipulates every situation to benefit her.
She is very excited about this new baby and she keeps saying how my SO needs to go back to work (he will be soon but that's a story for another time) so that we can pay her share and she can stay home with the babies. Talk about seeing red. I didn't even respond. She laughed it off like she was joking but she definitely wasn't. She's been dropping hints since we told her I was pregnant.

My FIL said the other day he said he figured I was pregnant in January as I was 'getting thick around the middle'. Ok am a fluffy/fat whatever you want to call me so even I wouldn't have noticed in January! In all honesty he is always rough around the edges and doesn't really have a good filter and it didn't bother me. I think my MIL and DH were more shocked and ticked off. I just shook my head and DH was like she wasn't showing at all in January! Lol
@mamabearcj so umm did you pick something? Or are we saying no based on their bad behavior? Inquiring minds that like to shop need to know lolol
eta: I think I sounded snarky and I wasn't trying to be
Lol no I have no freaking idea!! Maybe I'll start a "dream gift " suggestions thread because DH is useless too lol "umm idk boo" is what I get...
Edit to add: since it wasn't expressed to me from them directly why they aren't going to see the 2nd grandbabies birth, my in laws don't know I know the reason they gave my SIL if that makes sense. So if they want to spend they're money "for bills" on my baby I certainly won't say no. I just don't have a gift idea to give them..
Ugh. So we went out for chicken wings because I was craving them. Paid for street parking and ended up needing another half hour to finish watching the Masters. So DH went out to put more in the meter and found a parking ticket. We were like 2 mins late! So he brought it in and tossed it at me in anger. I examined it and realized it was for not having our liecense sticker on it. We knew we had it so was confused and figured we would get off. Only we went out 20 mins later and there was another friggin ticket! Turns out someone stole our liecense sticker! So now we are stuck trying to figure out if we can get the tickets thrown out AND getting a new sticker. So stabby at the thief and parking officer for giving us two tickets!

@chyvie idk what a license sticker is but that's bs!! Do you have proof you got one in the first place like a receipt that you can show and explain that yours was stolen?? Maybe that'll help with the tickets at least..
It's a sticker you get to add to your plate to prove you renewed it. It's based on your birth month. Yes we can prove it but it still means a day off to go down to the court office to fight the ticket and the cost to get a replacement sticker. Not fair

@chyvie Ugg. So annoying. I know a lot of people that score the sticker with a razor blade when they first put it on. Since it won’t come off in one piece, people are (supposedly) less likely to steal them. It was nice when we lived in Texas. The sticker goes inside your car your windshield. Made way more sense
Yeah, I had one of my stickers stolen about four years ago (Missouri requires them on both the front and rear plates). I've never lived in a place that does it like Texas, but that seriously makes the most sense to me.
Wait there are places the registration doesn't go on the inside of your windshield? My mind is blown right now.
Actually that's not even our registration. That's our car inspection. Then our registration is a piece of paper we keep in the glovebox. The police can look up if it's registered based on your license plate though. And actually their scanner can pick up if it's expired so they'll pull you over. So sneaky.
Yeah these are just a sticker to say you renewed your plates, paid a city car tax and got an emissions test. The registration is in our glove box. We only have the one sticker on one plate so they can easily get stolen.

We have a small sticker on our plate, mainly as a quick visual. It comes with the paper registration you keep in your car. We don't have inspections in MI. The sticker is a new color each year and you renew on your birthday. So it's easy for a cop to tell if yours is expired.
Re: Stabby Saturday
I cant wait until we have a screaming newborn to torture them with at all hours.

@cdepperschmidt every day I'm reminded why I moved out almost 10 years ago.
@SweetSweetTooth At least DH stood up for you, mine would have laughed and agreed with his father lol
