anyone else have a SCH? Im 8 weeks one day and at 6 wks 4days had a big bleed which quickly stopped and nothing since (tiny brown spotting on occasion). I have seen the baby and heartbeat several times and all looks great. I was told my SCH was 17ccs in volume which I guess is moderate size? Im super nervous about having a miscarriage as I have had two before for chromosomal issues so now that this baby looks great im like come on why did this happen grr. Just looking for someone with similar situation.

I do. I am 9+2 and had some pinkish bleeding at about 4 weeks and brown at about 7 weeks. At my first ultrasound the tech found my SCH - I am not sure of the size but she said it *should* resolve itself and so far I haven’t had any more bleeding. Hang in there I know it’s scary! Hoping for healthy babies for the both of us!

I'm 9+3 and have had several incidents of spotting and cramping over the past 3 weeks, then bleeding the other night. Emergency US shows a SCH 0.7x 1.4x 1.7cm.
But baby on the US was moving well though with a great HB.
Apparently most result in healthy babies

i had one at 7 weeks and spotted for about 3 days. Just take it easy. They do resolve on their own and i don’t think they increase the chances of an MC (from what i recall my doctor saying). Depending on the size you may bleed for a few days or your body will absorb it. Best of luck!

Thanks everyone its nice to hear others are in the same situation. My doctor said the literature shows they can increase the chances of miscarriage but then didn’t seem concerned enough to re-check it which was annoying. Im hoping by my 12 week scan its gone!

Just popping in to say I had an SCH with my first pregnancy back in 2014 and while it was scary it caused no issues and did resolve on its own.

An update on mine: over the weekend I had bright red bleeding with a small clot. It was super scary and led me to think the worst, but after talking to my doctors office this morning they believe it was my body expelling it all at once which they didn’t have an issue with. Hopefully it’s resolved now!

I was hoping thats how my bleed was but when I did have my ultrasound it looked like clotted blood she said (greyish webby vs black) so it appeared to be resolving. I go for an ultrasound Friday so I will be super curious to see the difference

I had a SCH with my first pregnancy and I went on to deliver a healthy baby girl at 41 weeks. I am now 11 weeks pregnant with another SCH. Have had a few spotting episodes, but since I have been through this before I have faith it will resolve itself again. Baby measured 3 days ahead of schedule at 10 weeks which made me feel better. Stay optomistic. Hope this makes you feel better.

I have a SCH with this pregnancy with lots of bleeding with clots at 6w5d. I had an U/S on the next day that showed a 2 cm x .5 cm SCH. Today at 8w1d I had another U/S and the SCH was the same size but I haven’t had any bleeding since then!

I haven’t had any more bleeding but every time I see any brown spotting I get so panicked, I cant wait until this first trimester is over to maybe just maybe relax for two seconds
