My sister and BIL are moving from NC to VA to be near me and our parents. They're moving so that our kids can grow up together and I'm so thankful and excited that they're doing this!
@melbel0824 - that's wonderful! So happy for your whole family! @dirtanddiamonds - yay for SO finally being home!!!
I'm getting daily kicks now from baby girl and it's just about the best thing in the world! Also DS woke up suuuuper early this morning so I started my day with baby snuggles.
Still happy crying from my lymph node biopsy being negative! Yesterday was DH’s last day at a job he hated and now he’ll be starting a new job where he’s utilizing his degree more! He has the rest of this week and next week off so it’ll be nice to spend time together and we’ll be taking DS down to Baltimore for a night next week!
Mine is...after stopping the Metformin (aka diarrhea inducers) a month ago, starting iron supplements a week ago, and being further along in the pregnancy...despite all of the fibrous green vegetable intake in the world, things were moving slow. I was going every day, but it was never much and it always felt incomplete.
Not today! I feel 10lbs lighter! I may have done a twirl in the bathroom with my loud-mouthed cat Salem who gave me words of encouragement the whole time. She likes to sit on the counter next to the toilet and headbutt or pet my hair with her paw.
Also, I think with the help of my "sickness soup" I'm over the hump of feeling like crap from this vicious cold. I've only used two kleenexes today and I'm actually getting housework done, even put the bedsheets out on the line to dry.
I'm having a pretty great day. I've made substantial progress on a research project and manuscript that I've been working on for close to 3 years. I think it might be out of my hands by tomorrow morning at the very latest. The amount of weight that will be lifted when I am out from under this project is crazy.
Also, it's Thursday and tomorrow is my last day covering a specific service at work that is my least favorite part of my job. I hope to never have to do it again but will have at least 3 years without it after tomorrow. Vague I know, but I'm super excited.
The kids are staying the night at Nana's (daycare) since I will have a late night with Softball. So I get an extra 30 minutes in the morning as I don't have to do drop off!!

@doctormom33 I'm always so curious when you post tidbits about your job. Sometimes I picture you as Dr. Pimple Popper, or something to do with Proctology or septic wounds. I admire your dedication to your patients, I worked with the elderly previously and never could quite get used to all the smells.
I had a higher level AS today and was totally freaking out because they had to admit me to the hosptial for it. The awesome news is that DS2 is just stubborn about moving how the tech wants him to and doesn’t have any health issues!!!
I’m having lunch alone at ikea which is lovely, just my airpods and I enjoying some meatballs. I noticed while I was in line I’m now the amount of pregnant where I can rest my hands comfortably on my belly
@calimom2524 I’ve been resting my hands and rubbing my belly without even realizing it. I love this random quirk of pregnancy.

See I’m the opposite. I try not to do the rest my hands on belly etc out, especially at work because I feel it draws attention and I hate it lol. At home, sure, but I hate pregnant lady attention at work. Even when it’s well intentioned, nice compliments, it’s awkward to me and I don’t know how to react haha.
I had to take my car to get inspected today which meant I got roughly an hour of alone time to do my crossword puzzle and browse social media. I told the girl at the front desk this was a bit of time to myself so when the car was done she came to the waiting area, called my name and said “it’s done, but you can totally hang out for a little bit if you want.”
I did a good deed today and mailed my ex husband the boy's school pictures and some drawings/paintings they have done. As much as I can't stand the man he still deserves his children in his life.
Man. This day just keeps getting better. I managed to sweep and mop our entire main level tonight after I got home (while on call but my pagers never went off). It has been probably 6...8? weeks since I mopped. With all the rain and our dog, it just never felt worth it. We have guests coming in town tomorrow though and I've been cringing at our floors for at least a week. I'm feeling so accomplished!!
A day late, but H got the job to drive for Pepsi!!! I will have to do mornings on my own with the littles, but he will be home to do dinner before we get home.

That's awesome, @princesslockness! I'd give anything to have DH home for dinner and bedtime every night. That'll be so nice.

That’s awesome @princesslockness! DH is at work like all day and it would be so lovely to have him home for/after dinner, enjoy it!
I finally found a super girly ftg coast Tula that I love and I’m so excited! I’m on my third kid and this is my first tula, this baby isn’t getting much new so I figured it would be ok to splurge on one.
AFM, DH has been working on getting the house ready to list and it's starting to look amazing. I'm going to be in trouble if we don't get this done and buy soon but I'm trying not to freak out

Have you guys started looking yet? Good Luck! We put an offer on a house and should be closing mid month. We are now preparing to put our house on the market. A little nervous but trying to not let it overwhelm me.
@ssthomps I've only allowed myself to look online so far. We went to an open house last fall and I fell in love with it. We weren't nearly ready to list and it sold of course. I still think about that damn house so I've tried not to look too seriously yet. We have a ton of equity in our house from property values in Detroit going up so much over the last 5 years that I really want to put that money into a down payment right from the get go. We could swing it without the contingency but the risk of having two mortgage payments would probably freak me out even more. I don't know though, I feel like it's getting so close!
@ssthomps also, how did your purchase go? Hopefully, nice and smoothly without any hiccups! And fingers crossed for a quick sale. Such a stressful experience but all worth it in the end
@rocknrrollmom Looking online is what motivated me to move forward with contacting my realtor. It is a slippery slope. Although a lot of houses were misrepresentated by their photos online gives you a good idea of what’s out there.
We are scheduled to close at the end of the month. Right now we are waiting to get the appraisal back. I am not looking forward to possibly having two mortgages either. Since we will have two months before or first payment is due, we are hoping to have sold by then. Our current neighborhood is a highly sought out area, so we are hoping it doesn’t take too long. Most have said our home will sell quickly. After looking at what’s available in our neighborhood, there isn’t much available, so fingers crossed.
I have a friend that just moved to Detroit for a job and when she told me what the prices of homes are, I was shocked. The market value has definitely gone up.
Re: Terrific Thursday 4/5
We we bought a second RZR. Yayyyyyy.
My child support went up. Lol. Woo-woo.
