Pregnancy Workouts ?

I’ve been pregnant before and I did not workout and ended up gaining 80lb! NOT doing that again. I lost all my baby weight just in time to get pregnant again haha so I do HIIT workouts- I do beach body workouts if anyone knows what that is and I absolutely LOVE them. 30 minutes and done. I do not want to give these up they are my go to. I am wondering if anyone else has done high intensity workouts while pregnant and just modified? I want this pregnancy to be healthier and I want to stay in shape so post-baby is easier on me as I’ll have another c-section. Of course the main goal is for a healthy baby and exercise is important for that. I live in Oregon and it rains everyday so ‘walking’ is not my go to workout FYI :) any really good pregnancy workout videos people recommend that I could switch to if need be?

Thabk you! <3

  • @Shawna0531 This is a great question for the Fit Mama thread we have started. Come join us over there! There’s a good amount of us looking to, ahem, not go overboard on the weight gain this time around or just stay as healthy as we can in general.

I usually do the prenatal Pilates from YouTube. But i wanted to say is try not to focus too much on weight, your body will do what it needs to do. Eating healthy and exercise is always good but don’t make it your goal to only gain so much weight. Talk to your doctor on exercise intensity. During my first pregnancy i couldn’t be very active due to being high risk and gained 50 lbs. This time around i am way more active but oddly still on track to gain the same amount. My doctor is not worried either. I just make big babies and it’s what my body has to do.
